New Years Eve?

I'm French Canadian, so New Year is just as big as Xmas, if not bigger. I have a party on New Years Eve at a friend's place which will involve a lot of drinking and a big feast, then on the first I have another big family get together, where we will be eating traditional cipaille (sea-pie or six-pates), a French dish made of potatoes, crust and a different game meat. As you can see, I'm very excited for New Years!

I no doubt will be at home channel surfing between jools holland and whatever else is on

New Year's Eve usually serves as a good reunion for me and some friends from high school who I don't see on regular basis. Hopefully it'll be the same this year. It is nice to get together even so long after high school.

Since my husband is deploying so soon after the new year, we are staying in and spending time as a family. More than likely we will use the holiday to celebrate my daughter's birthday, since her daddy will be gone by the time the actual day comes.

Husband and I are going to stay home and celebrate, and maybe have another couple come over. We are going to put the fireplace on in our basement den, have the bar stocked, and get dressed up just for each other. Maybe watch a movie. Maybe I'll put some music on and make him dance...

I hate New's Year Eve with an intense and fiery passion, so I'll be doing my yearly pretending-it-isn't-happening.

I also hate new years, It's so over rated.

The last two times I did something on New Years it ended badly, so I stay in under a duvet and also pretend it's not happening!

I didn't have any plans until yesterday 🙄
A couple of friends are coming over to my place and we're just gonna hang out. Nothing special, just a fun little party with close friends, few drinks, lotsa fireworks. Fireworks are important to me 😛

I've spent the past week in Jayne-mode - full of drunkeness and leering.

I'll be at at my friend's house tomorrow for a proper Scottish Hogmanay party. Which is a relief because I don't have to host this year. 😛

My fiancé and I will be staying in tonight and cooking up a roast dinner, have some drinks and watch some of our favourite shows together in our pajamas. Honestly couldn't think of a better way to spend it.

Well, husband and I are still staying in by the fireplace tonight, but we're going to his sister's boyfriend's house for supper which should be awesome. He's making grouper he caught in the Bahamas. Yes, please!

We're going to see an earlyish movie and then letting the kids stay up until midnight. That's our big excitement lol!

I'm spending the new years eve alone, at home.
Which always is a nice alternative imho.
