Very happy to have found this site/board and look forward to visiting on a regular basis. You'll find this on my personal page as well; but just want to say it again...

One of the best shows ever on television and my all time favorite. In spite of statements that it will never return in any format; I still hold out hope that it will. Josh Whedon has shown himself to be the kind of artist that does not surrender his goals easily. If he decides he really wants to continue the Buffyverse either via DVD or movie format; he strikes me as the one to 'get it done'. Fox; as usual, is the fly in the ointment, just as it is with 'The X Files' now bogged down in contract negotiations that have (from recent reports) degenerated into re-hashing the financial fights of the past. Onward...
What's important is what Buffy gave us. Regardless of age, culture, race, religion; Buffy is real, Buffyverse exists. We never really outgrow the sudden and new fears and challenges of adolesence. They stay with us forever as each stage of life unfolds with new fears and challenges: We are small in a very big and strange world faceing new and often scary "Big-Bads" throughtout life. Every morning we wake up to our 'normal' existance with it's foundation and framework based on the cultural and economic norms of our various locals and the rotines required to function within it only to open a letter or receive a phone call that equivicates a new and powerful demon on the scene ready to wreck havoc on our lives...and a few times in life we all wake to an apocalypse that we force ourselves to face and save our world from.
And we visited our friends in Buffyverse weekly to share the feelings and experience the hope that we are not alone and we will survive if we hold on and beleive we can every day we start anew. The Scobbies were us and we were them. As an alternate universe reflecting our own, they are still here; still real. They are us.
