Newbie in the UK

Hey to all

Let me introduce myself....my name is Char and I live in the uk, I am 28years old and only really got into buffy about 6 years ago....while it was first airing I was an x-file fan. When I look back now have no idea how I even missed buffy being on ( a crime I am sure) lol).

I notice now though with the show ending such a long time ago that many fan sites have closed or are now running as archeive sites. I see over in the states that there are many get togethers for buffy-thons etc but don't seem to see a lot happening here in the uk. My partner is really not into the buffy thing and I am looking to make some mates that are so I don't more my poor partner to death by my ramblings of everything buffy/angel.

Well I think thats all for now peeps, just having a look around and reading threads to try and get to know some of you.

Welcome to the Boards 😀

First of all, yay for x-files fandom 😀 I didn't watch it back in the days, mostly because I was not even in my teens back then and got scared, but now I'm an X-Phile 😀 And it's great to know that there's still so many fans out there.

Second...it's kinda funny, you talk about USA Buffy gettogethers, but not so much for Britain...here, it seems we're quite reversed. We have many Brits and other Europeans 😀 Actually, Americans might be a bit of a minority here even.

Hi Char! :welcome: Make sure to get yourself sorted. The Sorting Tome I was into the X-files too but must admit I haven't watched it in a very long time. And if you want talk about british get togethers you should check this out. Buffy Party 2009 - London Not sure if there'll be a lot of Buffy talk or just a lot of partying though. 😉
