Newbie Saying Hi

Buffy Boards is interesting. That's why I chose to register an account on here and say hi.

As you can see, my username is LovyDovySpuffy. It is short for LoveyDoveySpuffy. Unfortunately, this site's system didn't let me use that username because it was too long. But LovyDovySpuffy was created because I ship Spuffy. Sorry to all of the Spuffy haters out there.

I love how Joss Whedon's genius mind created the Buffyverse legacy. Spike, Buffy, and Giles are my favorite characters from the Buffyverse.

My interests are video games, analyzing things, art, creative writing, swimming, comedy, inventors, and innovative music.
 
Welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of Spuffies here, so you have come to the right place. I can't say I'm all that into shipping but I am on the side of Spuffy more than any other. It seems more realistic and less melodramatic than other ships. Maybe "Warehouse 13" had the right answer - male and female people working together with no ships. As for interests, analyzing things is what I do, along with creative writing and I am a patent holder although the patent has run out. I have tried my hand at writing music but that depends on being at the keyboard at the right moment - I can't force it the way I can with writing stories.

As fan forums go, this one is a cut above most in intelligence and we are normally quite civil.

A lot of Spuffies here would not be surprising. But I can imagine there being quite a bit of Bangles, too.

Usually, I never ship anyone. Joss Whedon and writers did an excellent job of making me want to ship Spuffy, though. Spike and Buffy had a complex relationship that is hard to describe with few words. There were so many words to describe Buffy and Spike's relationship. I felt like Spike challenged Buffy's youthful naivety. So, Buffy was able to grow up as a woman rather than stay naive.

I take it that you write stories more than music, then? Personally, I prefer to write stories than music. I tend to like writing music without lyrics.

This forum community looks civil when I read people's posts. At least there are rules to help keep Buffy Boards civil.

Welcome. I like your writing style. I agree BuffyBoards is interesting. The best Internet forum imo and one of the few still quite active.
I’m not a Spuffy shipper, though I love most of the Buffy/Spike scenes in the series. Weird, eh? I enjoy writing, video games (though not as much as I used to when I was younger), analysing things, art, comedy and music too.

I can take a gander and say you fancy Angel's character. To be frank, I wanted writers to flesh out Angel's character better in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Angel tended to look sad when he had a soul. I wanted to see him smile and look alive like the soulless Angel did. He seemed to smile and look alive more as a human, too. Which I found to be an oddity. But I think writers made his character development better in the "Angel" spin-off series.

It took me a while to be a Spuffy shipper. But Spike started to become good with a soul.

Writing about critical analyses is what I like doing these days. But I also want to play "Hogwarts Legacy" and the "Resident Evil: Village - Shadows Of Rose" video games this year. Speaking of this year. I might make art projects this year to keep me busy. Comedy and music will probably keep me busy, too.

So far, I have been enjoying coming here frequently. This online Buffyverse community is quite refreshing to be in. I feel like adding creative threads and posts to it.
