Hey! I'm kinda new. But not really though. I joined a while back and never got around to posting, but now I plan to do the whole posting thing.

Anyway, I'm Nienna (or Natalie or whatever name you deem as appropriate). I love Buffy and Angel, and hate the WB! 🙂

Hey... I'm also new, but looking forward to the "Forum" forum... k, i'm a dork.
 
So, I was watching some Buffy documentary thingy the other day and it totally dawned on me. I never realized that one of Buffy's main themes (esp Seasons 1 - 3) was how hard it was to be an individual. She always wanted to fit in, but she just couldn't... just like everyone else. I always heard what a role model she was and I didn't really get it until now. She had to sacrifice to do the right thing and we all love her for it. Am I totally clueless? Was this obvious to everyone? I mean, I got a lot of the other themes in the series, but this whole "Individuality has its price" just hit me like a ton o' bricks.
