Did we actually determine a day to start? My understanding is that it was dependent on the books’ arrival
 
Yay , mine came 🙂 .

My copy appears to be new and unread ....and also has a £1.25 price sticker on it 😀 . That means it must have been remaindered (ie excess stock sold off supercheap in discount book stores) at some stage .

Line spacing though so more like 200 actual pages of text . I don't even need reading glasses with the pages set up like that .

Next weekend should work for me. My sister is getting married tomorrow, so I'm in tornado mode. But this next week is my recovery week, so I should be okay by then. I've never done this book group. How does it work? A chapter a week of all in one go?
 
Been reading up on the book . It looks like the whole series is mahoosive at 8 volumes and counting...but it chops around the timeline so we don't get a big narrative for an extreme marathon book club 😛 .

I'm a bit shocked I knew nothing about these novels before this thread . I've been meaning to have a go at the comics but never got round to it .
