i think its gonna be New England and Green Bay in the super bowl...Gb seems destined to win...who'd of thought the viks would lose to the cardinals..lol...plus brett farve...is a man on a mission...i hope gb takes it all..

I hear you on GB Soulgasm but being taken so close by a team they should dominate like Seattle isn't a good sign.......Tough game next week,they'll need Ahman Green to have a huge game if they're to win........::wave::
 
I am watching but am not that interested after the way my Vikings got ousted a few weeks back I am counting the days till Pedro and Schilling and company head for Spring Training.

Though I have to say I was suprised by the way Denver got destroyed, I mean they were asleep. The Ravens and Titans game was good. Dallas needs a QB and a few Wide outs that wanna catch the ball. Green Bay looked good until the 4th quarter where i think Sherman was coaching really tight.

I think Green Bay will beat Philly, they seem to be this years cinderella story.
I cant imagine that the Panthers will be able to do anything to the Rams.
New England and Kansas City should both win, Indy has no defense and New England has the best coaching staff in football since the 90 Giants.
 
lol...i know NE is gonna be in there....GB is a long shot at philly...but brett farve is a falking miracle worker so i wouldn't count him out...

can anyone say....kurt warner to Dallas...if Dallas acquires Warner....Dallas will win the next superbowl as long as they get some decent receivers to compliment his skills...

I dunno...NFL football just isn't as exciting to me as it used to be. Free agency sucks. But I'm hoping to see the Eagles do some stomping this weekend, since my two teams (Steelers and Broncos) are both done until next season.

I used to think that until Washington got back Gibbs now he has to be the front runner fav to win the Super Bowl within 2 years. He is better than the Tuna. I was reading today that Atlanta said to Gibbs that they would have to go through the interview process. Excuse me, if I was gm there I would hand him a blank check and let him fill in the amount, Vick under the coaching of Gibbs. Instead they got Jim Mora jr? I get it I guess since he made SF's defense into the 85 Bears (lol)
 
So who are the Superbowl teams for this season? Do you know yet, Americans? I lost track of the Playoffs but I reckon they must be down to two by now...

(IMO the most superb owl is the eagle owl followed closely by the snowy owl 🙂🙂 - sorry, but that dreadful pun was a clue in the wife's cryptic crossword today and I just couldn't resist it.)
 
It's the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots.

Quite an interesting matchup, since there is no city or state named Carolina (North Carolina and South Carolina, sure, but no plain-old Carolina) and the same goes for New England (it refers to the general region of the north easternmost part of the US...Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island...).

So basically it's a showdown between teams of nebulous geographical origins. 🙂

Okay, not really, but I always find it weird that New England isn't the Boston Patriots, since that's where they play. And the Panthers are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. So why not the Charlotte Panthers? Or the North Carolina Panthers?
 
"Charlotte Panthers" sounds a bit girly for a football team. Mind you "Carolina" isn't ever so butch either really...

Perhaps these teams want as wider catchment area as possible to attract more "home" fans - better several states worth of folks than just one little city or is that too cynical? Surely it's not just about the money?😉

BTW - I haven't been following Gridiron Football (as opposed to real football - soccer to you Yanks) for several years so my support means nothing but - Go Patriots! (I visited Boston once🙂)
 
my superbowl prediction, New England 21, Carolina 3

I think it's a miracle Panthers made it this far, although i'm so glad green bay, lost out. Words do not express how much I hate Green Bay, as soon as Farve leaves, everyone will forget about Green Bay again! And it's not just because I'm from Detroit. the Lions Suck!!!!!!

How do you keep a detroit lions football player out of your back yard???

I was enjoying the game until both teams decided that a defensive struggle was not as much fun as an all out who has the ball last will win. It did turn out to be an entertaining game. My prediciton was slightly off 🙂
