nah, SMG's fear, at the start of fliming the show, was graveyards/cemeteries. they had to build a fake on in the parking lot or something like that. she got over at the show progressed and by S6 she was able to sit on someone's tombstone.

You sure, Lyri? I definately remember a tv interview she did (I think it was a Sky One special) where they asked her about graveyards and she said that the biggest problem she had was when she had to be down in an open grave. Apparently she was almost in tears throughout the filming.

huh, it was an interview on Sky One i watched too. with Richard Blackwood? they were filming 'As You Were' at the time. she mentioned something about freaking out when she was in a cemetery, so they built a fake one.
why would they build a cemetery when they could just go film in an existing one? surely it would cost more to make one than to drive to one?

As for what you said about the cost of set versus location. Yep, initially it would cost more (at least for the first episode it was used in) but after that, over the course of the season, you save money because once the set is up, it's up.
On the other hand if you were to use a location graveyard each time then every time you want to do a short scene you need to pay out for moving your crew and cast over there. Between cost and time it is a lot cheaper to have a standing set on hand.

Editors edit to the script BUT the Director is in charge so they should oversee everything.
Secondly, even human certain errors that make it through are not down to human error, they are down to human incompetance. Little continuity issues, they are fair game. Anything bigger than that, well then the people who make the mistake should be in a different business.
