Liam Booker may be Hester High School’s artistic wunderkind, but he’s about to meet his match…straight from Sunnydale!

Nicholas Brendon, who played the loyal, quippy Xander Harris on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” is slated to join “Faking It” for the show’s Season 2 finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And his character will push Liam to the limits.

Brendon will play Jackson Lee, a Hester High graduate and professional artist in search of a student who’s worthy of a fellowship. Naturally, Liam will be a contender, but not before Jackson puts him through the wringer and forces him to think differently about his craft.

Jackson will become the golden child’s unlikely mentor, but will he approve of Liam’s most recent piece — a heart that serves as a pincushion for sharp spears? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Not sure how many people watch this show, but I'm super stoked about this if it happens.

Planned on watching the show, now I will totally watch the show. First Alexis Denisoff now Nick Brendon. How many other Buffy casts members will MTV get in their shows?

I've never seen this show, but it's always nice to see Whedonverse actors getting other roles! (I about fan-freaked many times while watching HIMYM the last few months. There are SO MANY from BtVS/Angel!!)

For those interested, he's in the mid-season finale that just aired this week. It was a bit crazy seeing him in there, he's so old now! Such a difference from the time he played Xander (I hadn't seen him in much since, I don't watch CSI). It was great seeing him! For such a small show, they sure are getting pretty good actors on it.

And now we patiently wait for season 2B.
Looks like his role was a bit bigger than what was initially said, he appeared again on the ep last night. Not sure how long ago that was filmed, I assume before the rehab. But it seems like he might have a recurring role.

I still need to watch this show
I haven't seen the MTV show, but I just saw Coherence on Netflix the other night, and although my first thought was "funny, that's Xander from Buffy!", after a while I completely forgot about that. I thought he was very good in that role. Also imo he has aged pretty well. It made me think it's a shame about his personal problems, because I don't think he should have trouble finding work.

I noticed there was an old thread for the movie, but since I just wanted to comment on his acting and appearance, I thought I'd post this here instead of reviving that thread...😀
