I think that at one time or another we all have shopped at a garage/yard sale, thrift store or vintage shop.

My question is: What is your fav find at one of these kind of places?

I found a frisky and fun faux hat at this thrift store. It reminds me of the 50's- ::grad::

I also found at a garage sale-an old school Wizard of Oz key chain for 50 cents.

i like buying weird T-shirts...like of Old 80's tv shows...like alf..lol..there pretty funny...

i once went to a antique junk shop place thing where they had a fully functional 1930s kitchen for sale...

and a flight of stairs....

I once baught a necklace for my sister for $.75. I thought it was a piece of junk, and so did the people who were selling it, but as it turned out, it had a real emerald in it. Needless to say, my sister never got the necklace.

wow, thats awesome kindred! , i've never really found anything exciting at a garage sale..i like looking around at them though

Lol Kindred.

I love anything old at garage sales and thrift stores - things that nobody else will have or will have anymore. Most of the time I'm getting weird t-shirts, candles/candle holders, little gadgets, antiques...etc.

If the places I've gone to had comic books (preferably Buffy) than I'd love those. Just the other week, my sister picked up for me at a garage sale -$1 - one of those diamond yellowing cross-walk signs. It has 'Oz Xing' on it with a picture of the 4 characters from The Wizard of Oz, but I'm going to print out a picture of Seth Green and tape it over the original picture.😀

I LOVE yard sales! I found one that had a whole set of various skull decorated wooden boxes from India and this bad ass statue of Death that's an inscense burner. Smoke comes out of his face...it's beautiful! I bought all of it.

i love "loppiser" as we call them here in Norway(whcih are things you by at flea markeds!) i once bought a pair of UNUSED doc martins for 20 kr(that is aprox: 2,5$ and i'm NOT kidding... they where unused, and they were only 1 or 2 no to big, and cost aprox1200 kr, that is 160$... my best buy) i have also bought alot of other things like an apron from the 1960s, a skirt from 1960s, a jacked that i love(it's more of a cardigan!) alot of my clotest are second hand, or things i've gotten from others(my boyfriends mother gave me a very nice swetter, and 2 pants the other day, she didn't use'em🙂 )

ah, the beauty of cheap things🙂(well some...)

I haven't really ever found anything but my sister has picked me up a couple of things at thrifty shops before. One was a classic dark blue 70s t-shirt with Hawaii written across it with a motif of a rainbow. The writing and motif are in a paler blue. Its my ALL TIME fav t-shirt, i wear it to death. And she picked me up the best pair of earrings, it was sorta 70s and they are large bone like (but not bone, i hope) shaped like a diamond with shapes painted on them.......they are great! I have a great sister.

You're soooo lucky,Ive never found anything cool or usefull, only a load of junk...
