Okay: here's a Buffyverse nightmare.
I dreamed that I was sent downtown to help Angel. I was the new vision girl. The problem was that I didn't know who or what Angel was. I'd heard rumors, though.
So, anyway, I go downtown, to the hotel, to find it under siege by demons. Without making an introduction, Angel rather unceremoniously grabs me and pulls me to safety in one of the rooms. A jumble of limbs, we huddle there for some time. He has his mouth next to my ear and his hand over my mouth. Finally, he whispers something about it being safe and takes his hand off my mouth. I say I'm there to help some Angel guy and that I heard he's a vampire. I say this like it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. There's a moment of silence and then, Angel says with this really creepy tone, "he is."
The next thing I know, he's on top of me and his mouth is on my mouth. But he's not kissing me. No. This is not that kind of dream. Instead, he's sucking blood out of my tongue. I know this because there's a metallic taste in my mouth and I can't seem to move my tongue. Plus, there's a weird pulling sensation. My eyes shoot open. And there in front of me is the most horrifying thing I've ever seen: Angel as a vampire. He doesn't look like a Buffyverse vampire, though; he looks more like an Anne Rice vampire. His eyes are horrible. They're bright, glowy red and seem to be saturated with my blood. I scream. Because of the position, his mouth just absorbs the scream. No one can hear me. He snickers. I try to fight him off, but I can't move. He seems to think this is funny, too. Then, I start to feel all pass-outy and wake up. I am exceedingly glad because, while I was dreaming, I didn't realize this was a dream. I thought it was real. It was unbelievably scary.
When I wake up, I realize that I've been sleeping with my mouth open so that it's gone dry. It takes me a second or so to be able to move my tongue and lick my lips and stuff. When I do, I realize that my chapped lips have split and bled a little bit. I am relieved to have an explanation for the physical sensations from the dream. I get up and go to the bathroom, where I drink some water, brush my teeth, and put on chapstick so that I won't have that dream again.
So, yeah. I had a horrible Buffy-related nightmare. I do not want to watch an episode of Angel anytime soon! That guy is scary.
