Has anyone else been watching the series on ABC family?

I actually really enjoy it and the characters I don't really dislike anyone on the show.

I'm starting to watch it. The acting isn't great but I think the storyline is super interesting! I agree, I don't dislike any of the characters either....except for the bad guys of course. 🙂

Alek or Brian? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Brian, but I kind of like Alek and him and Chloe can actually be together so I see where that works...but.. BLAH! 😱

I think he is looking out for him and really thinks Mai are bad but my big question is did the girls mom kill Brian's mom? I got that impression and if that is the case all hell is going to break loose once he finds out.

Regarding the boys

I love Brian because I know him first off from Friday night Lights any alum of FNL tops other people lol. Really though Brian is just great adorable and cute and aw I just love him. I like Alek because he is cocky but I think he is lying to Chloe. I just for some reason can't believe that a show about a girl in high school regardless of her race can't kiss a boy. It just doesn't make sense I mean if she can only be with Alek that is boring. As of now I like both boys though.

Oh YEAH!!! I totally see that Valentina killed his mom. I didn't catch that but I see it now.
I LOVE Brian, too....and I think Alek likes her but I do get the impression that something sketchy is going on with him. And it was SUPER sketch when Mr. Rezza asked the scarface guy if anyone saw him coming out of Xavier's house (remember?)...so what is that supposed to mean????

Okay, so I have a theory but it revolves around this question. Does "The Unitor" unite all Mai? Or does she unite humans and Mai? (Because obviously the Mai think they are high and mighty...)
If she is supposed to unite humans and the Mai, it makes sense because she was raised by humans, etc. I think that leads into her being able to kiss humans because she is The Unitor...am I right? That's why scarface had to go to Xavier's house....because he had to finish him off because otherwise she'd know. I think I have more to this theory, I just can't think of it.
Also, a way around the "no kissing" thing is maybe, if a human kisses a Mai, it's okay? Just not the other way around maybe? But I doubt that, it could get too confusing.

I agree he is super sketchy. I like him but I don't know he doesn't seem to like Chloe being around anyone. I think he does like her and he was jealous of Brian lol and he maybe genuinely didn't know she could kiss a human. He gets these looks when Brian is around 😛
That is what I am talking about!!! Xavier said that and I was like hold on pick up the phone he totally killed that boy. Some people don't agree but I like that you are thinking of the angle it was just so fishy.

I think it does so like you said if it does then she may be more adapt to humans and this leading into her being able to kiss them. I think the Uniter has a lot of special gifts that the ordinary Mai don't.
That is it he didn't want her to know. Or really he could have just killed the boy to tie up loose ends. Xavier didn't seem like he cared otherwise lol.

Maybe that is it as well. I honestly don't know about this kissing thing maybe it isn't even true anymore and they just think it is who knows. I just keep thinking of when Alek was joking and going to kiss the friend I love her but I am still bad with names lol anyways and he joked about it, if it were that serious I can't see him joking..

Well you haven't seen the previous episode right? The kissing thing is true and you'll get it after you watch Episode 5.
And Alek FOR SURE gets weird when Brian is around, especially since he has to watch over her, he gets this like...wince?
But I do think they were trying to hide something from her because "tying up loose ends" doesn't really make sense because they barely knew anything about each other. I still think because she is The Uniter she has special powers. And I'm kind of thinking the Mai don't really know what The Uniter actually is. They didn't know she could do anything besides have 9 lives. Yet, she's empathic, feels equality to humans, and I still stand with able to kiss humans without killing them. They have that little rock portrait or whatever going in Valentina's apartment but it looks like a lot of it is missing, so I think they guess that The Uniter is there to unite the Mai, but really she's sent by the god (I forgot the name, something with a B) to unite human and Mai.

BLAH!!! I JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE EPISODES and explanations...!!!!!!!! 🙂

The concept was a little weird (I did like the fact that if she kisses a guy he dies 😛) but I didn't like it. I suppose since I haven't seen anymore episodes I shouldn't comment.

No, you're completely right. The acting isn't good, but the storyline gets better after the first episode. I just kept watching it because I was bored, and I kinda got hooked by accident. But I totally get where you're coming from.
