Does anybody have a Nintendo Wii with Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart? I bought one last Friday and I don't have anybody to play online with. : erm :

I want to get one... but not yet... they are just too expensive for me right now.. with me not having oh say a job lol plus any money i do get together is being put back for the baby.. I figure i'll let it be out a while longer then just find a way to get the money together.... It looks like fun,

I personally want Mario Kart and Zelda.... lol

I have the Zelda game for Game Cube. I bought it when it first came out. I'm glad I can play it on the Wii. The Zelda games have got to be my favorite video games ever along with Super Smash Brothers, Final Fantasy, and Lunar. I'm an RPG video game geek. LOL

I'm also afraid that I don't have one, but I'm hoping to get one soon! (Unless of course someone else in this house gets one, then yay for me 😉 ).

I babysit two kids who have one though, every time I go over there I end up with a cramp in my arm from playing "Wii Sports" too much. Love how you can play a game and actually be somewhat active! Think they have some kind of Mario Olympics game as well? Not sure...

I'm personally hoping to get "Dance Dance Revolution" for it within the next couple months, hopefully that one is connectable and I'll find a BB-er to battle 😀

I haven't got one and i don't want one either, Nintendo are ruining gaming with it D=

i have both! I'll PM you with my friend codes! 🙂 i used to work at the Nintendo World Store here in NYC, the only of its kind in the U.S. it was muy fun (and where i met my boyfriend, kudos to that lol). I <3 Wii and video games in general.

Deep breath.............................WHAT why? They have some of the best games and characters of this generation.

Because they're bringing in people that think they're gamers just because they like Wii Fit and Brain Training games. It's sickening

what is wrong with opening the market to other people? are those people not "Supposed" to play video games? I think those kind of games are great. Because why should the companies alienate people who wouldn't pick up Halo but would love Big Brain Academy?

BTW for anyone thinking of picking up a wii, some great games are

Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Galaxy
Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (ive played through both the original and this, and the control with the wiimote are awesome!)
Metroid Prime 3, if you played the first 2 (though not necessarily needed to follow the story in 3, it could stand alone)

And Mario Kart is proving to be lots of fun with that dinky little plastic wheel lol

Thanks for the codes. I'm about to find out what mine are then I'll PM them to you. 😉

YES! Get into those games. I would also recommend Super Paper Mario.

You don't need a Wii for TP or Resi though =P

no you don't, but everyone ive spoken to says the Wii editon of RE4 is the best one there is. The controls are unparalleled to a regular controller. The accuracy of the wiimote is wonderful.

And yes, some have said TP as a gamecube game is actually better because it was made for the gamecube originally. I wouldn't know personally, ive only played the wii version.

And DDD, you can automatically access the internet if you have wifi in your home. And it's free.
You don't need an "Account" each game has access on it's own. You just need to set up the internet for the wii, ip address and dns and all that.

Just what exactly do you define a 'Gamer' as?

Shouldn't a gamer be anyone who enjoys and owns a gaming system... no matter what that system may be?

Now I've owned many gaming systems over my life time ranging from one of the first sega's, the first nintendo, the 64, game cube, I also have a playstation, playstation 2...... and i play all sorts of games..... Am i not a gamer because i like non violent games like Mario Kart on the 64?

and for the record is being a true gamer good?

I'm sorry i know a person who has begged his friends to buy an xbox360 so he could have someone to play with.... I find that to be very lame...

I also find that the Wii is a great invention in gaming systems.... Its something that will get kids moving... while doing something they enjoy... I'm not saying they should stop playing outside but maybe it will help them to be more active by having to move their bodies with the game.... instead of sitting on their butts all day....

A gamer is generally a good player who has played for years doesnt matter what type of games.

Wii is not that healthy you do not need to jump around like an idiot to play it. Slight movements work better.

Maybe you don't have to jump around like an idiot exactly but you still move more with the Wii than you do with a normal controller... I mean honestly when i play my Playstation2 the only thing i move is my thumbs..... and occasionally an index finger......

I'm yet to try out Brawl, I seriously wanna play as Solid Snake (I LOVE the Metal Gear Solid series) Been playing Zelda: Twilight Princess atm, I'm near the end of The Temple Of Time.
