I thought I'd post this, since it's starring Julie Benz (Darla) and this series has a neat sci-fi twist. Basically it's an entire family that develop super-human abilities and have to deal with everyday life. Anyway, it airs on ABC Tuesdays at 8/7PM Central for anyone who's interested.

I'm not sure if it's going to get a UK airdate, but it's certainly had a lot of promotion here in Canada!

ABC Studios brings to life the story of the Powells. They're an every day, typical American family who undergo a remarkable transformation after the charter plane they hired crashes in the Amazon River

I've seen the first couple of episodes, and it sort of reminds me of a live action version of "The Incredibles." I've enjoyed what I've seen so far, and I especially like the fact that the characters are actually having to learn how to use their powers. The show makes a good point, also, about the way that the Universe tends to seek balance. If there are super heroes, there have to be superVILLIANS. I'm wondering if there are plans to introduce more superheroes as the show progresses, and if so, I hope that they don't go the route of "Heroes," with super powered people popping up like mushrooms in a cellar.

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. I actually laughed a couple of times. (Especially at the line "You dance like you're trying to escape from angry villagers.")

There are a lot of logic problems with this show, but it's still interesting.

Julie Benz isn't the only Whedonverse alumna on the show... Kay Panabaker, who plays her daughter Daphne, played the creepy little girl in the White Room on the Angel episodes "Forgiving" and "Habeas Corpses."

I did not realize that. I like her. Cool!
I've seen the first four episodes and while it definitely isn't through-provoking, ground-breaking television it's definitely enjoyable. I'll probably keep watching.

Plus, Julie Benz. Always a good thing.

Yay, I just started watching this today and I'm enjoying it. I think it just premiered here in New Zealand but I'm downloading. It's nice seeing Julie Benz on another TV show that I'm watching with my whole family. My Dad is loving it so that's great. 😀 Love, love, love.
