No pics! URGENT

I logged on about ten minutes ago and the site was working fine but when I logged on this time there were these little white boxes where all picture used to be. The boxes say THIS SITE HAS SOTLEN THIS IMAGE FROM BUFFY-BOARDS , but how can that be this is Buffy-Boards?
 
I was in the process of adding a hotlink prevention blocker to keep people from stealing our avatars and linking to our attachments.

I'm still working on getting things going properly...

If anyone is having a problem and cannot pm me or post (although all the buttons are there, they just are not showing up as the right image) you can email me at buffysummers@buffy-boards.com.

The only way for it to be 'fixed' is if people who are having problems let me know things like what browser they are using. Since it works for me, I can't simply email when it's fixed.

Just thought you guys might like to know....at three different locations (Home, School, Library) I've had trouble getting on to the site. I get a page saying 'This page cannot be displayed'. I don't know if this site is getting to big or that its just happening because of what was mentioned above but like I said...just thought you should know. I did manage to get on by either using google, refreashing, or coming back like 30 seconds later.

was wondering if it might help the site if all the old threads at the buffy cemetary we deleted? or would that affect peoples post count? Oh well just a thought.

Oh and I know you guys are trying you best but the load time on this site is getting slower....could just be me....
 
Thanks for letting us know. If it's due to exceeding our bandwidth, then the page you get normally says 'Bandwidth exceeded' so I don't think that's the problem.😉

It might be useful if you could post what IP you use, and whether you use IE/ etc I know Buffy Summers normally asks people as sometimes this can effect things. I know personnaly I use AOl and sometimes this causes me a heck of alot of problems accessing some sites.

As for deleting posts in the cemetary, we do normally do this every so often and, yeah, it does normally reduce everyones post counts - even the staff - which shouldn't really matter as it's the quality not quantity of posts that you have - but some members have been a tad upset in the past about their post count dropping after old theads have been deleted.

Load time- I haven't found the site any slower or faster than normal and being on a 56k connection, trust me when sites take a long time to load I notice 'lol' My puter is so old I ought to put it out to pasture. Not sure why it's taking a long time to load for you though.

Anyway, we'll look into what you've told us and see if it's a problem on our end or not.🙂
 
like I said probobly just me. I don't care about my post count...ok yes I do but it's not like I post just for the sake of posting. well maybe once or twice. Um I have no idea what type of connecton I use.
