No Stinker/Amazing Episodes in Season 3?

Season 3 is the best of the verse. Most of the episodes are heart felt

Anne - Buffy saves the world for the i've lost count time and at the end her mom answers the door and there stands Buffy

Dead Man's Party - We see how betrayed the scoobies feel towards Buffy leaving and in the midst of that huge argument comes a house swarming with murderous zombies

Faith, Hope and Trick - The arc gets introduced

Beauty and the Beasts - The plot may not have been that good but we get so see Willow and Oz's relationship becoming more complex with the werewolf thing and the ending scene with Buffy and Angel is touching.

Homecoming - More character development with Buffy who admits that she just wants to be able to say that she lived through highschool and had friends like a normal girl even though she's the slayer. Plus the ending was really funny. They say "There's a tie!" so Buffy and Cordelia (and the audience) think they both won but then the 2 other girls win instead.

Band Candy - Very creative with alot of comedy.

Revelations - It's not a stand out episode to me

Lover's Walk - Captures the drama between Buffy and Angel's doomed relationship. It brought the very famous "Love isn't brains" speech by Spike.

The Wish - Amazing! The first episode I ever saw of Buffy, which is why Cordelia was my favorite character for such a long time (and explains why I liked C/A)

Amends - Great Christmas episode with Willow saying "I'm Jewish, people. Not everyone worships Santa) and the memorable Angel/Buffy scene on the hill when Angel's about to give up.

Gingerbread - Alludes to the negativity that magic brings when Amy is trapped as a rat. This episode begins with the murder of children but manages to be funny with the MOO organization. It's a prime example of why our show was hard to categorize as a drama or a comedy.

Helpless - Powerful to see our heroine as one of us

The Zeppo - Very good episode with Xander. He always steals the scenes so an episode revolving around him is priceless.

Bad Girls - We get to see Buffy take a step into the dark side. The relationship between Buffy and Faith is great to see too.

Consequences - Alot happens in this episode so it's never boring

Doppelgangland - Really great as well. There was really good filming to see two Willows in the same scene.

Enemies - Also a good ep

Earshot - My friend is hooked on this episode. It was really good because it had so much mystery going on. We were lead to believe that one person was the murderer and the case was closed only to find out it was someone completely different and finding out who that was was hilarious (remember the green jello scene)

Choices - Very sad but also creating suspense for the Ascension

The Prom - Such a great episode. It's painful to watch and so much happens. It also includes arguably one of Sarah's best acting scenes when she tells Willow she's "trying not to die". The class protector award touches the audience because we know how much it means to Buffy since it was established in Homecoming that she wanted to be accepted and the heartbreaking last dance as "Wild Horses" by The Sundays plays

Grad. Day Part 1 - Joss episodes are always great.

Grad. Day Part 2 - Buffy's a hero and gives up sacrifices when necessary. She never gives up and neither do her friends. It was a collaboration of all the character's talents and courage that let them survive highschool. The ascension was a metaphor for surviving highschool and Buffy watched the love of her life walk away from her. The episode was a prelude to the changes that were about to occur in her life.

Season three was the season where all the characters clicked like never before. If that's what you were looking for, then this season was the best. If you were looking for epic battles with lots of angst and heartache, you had it the season before.

If there was bad episode, I would have to go with 'Beauty and the Beasts'. The only good thing about this ep was the shining character moments (the whole Jekyll/Hyde monster has been done to death and even Buffy did it better with Angel the previous season).

Good episodes? Got a few hours? 'The Wish', 'Amends', 'Bad Girls' and 'Consequences', 'Earshot' and my personal favorite, 'Doppelgangland'. The only problem with a great episode in season three is picking one.

I think Season 3 is the best season ever. I think the majority of the episodes were well above average but there were a few pretty bad ones.

It is hard to pick the best and the stinker of season 3... It is such a great season.
I think that Beauty and the Beast was probably the worst. It may be tied with Dead Man's Party.

I agree with whoever said Helpless was a great episode. I don't rewatch it much, but it does stand out as a great one.

I feel that a 7 is a good rating..that's why a lot of them got 7's. But according to Nerd4hire's system, I couldn't give them all 9 or 10's because they are not in my top 10 favs. I wrestled with Helpless and Lover's Walk
*obviously I like Lover's Walk way too much!

Season 6: Double Meat Palace

i actually liked that one.. buffy was a tool!
but yeah, i'm right in the middle of watching season three and i sort of hear what you're saying. the only "stinker" i felt i saw was buffy's bangs in one of the episodes.. i think it was Amends. just wasn't feeling em.

Well, I agree that there are no stinker or amazing episode in this season. But there are so many really really great episode, which makes this my favorite season. And I don't really miss the stinker episode, I'm fine without it so... Because many of my favorite episodes (after OMWF and The Body) are from this season.

(Just occured to me - How the feck did the Summers family explain the middle aged lady with a shovel in her head on the lawn?)

Am I crazy, or did Pat sort of disappear in a flash of light?

I think Pat disappeared in that flash of light. Maybe the energy from the mask consumed her.
