nordern lights

i was working earlier today, and my boyfriend talked to me on the walkie talkie and told me to look at the sky, and there where nordern lights on the sky..

isn't it just amazing? i think so, i could hardly do my job, LOL cos i was like looking at the sky the whole time!most of the time the sky was filled with white lights, then i looked up, and the lights where white, green and white, and this nordern lights lasted for way over an hour!! i'll post pics if the news papers write about it tomorow!


i don't know if anyone of you have seen it, but if you have, when and where???

I have never seen them before, but I have seen lots of pictures. Someday I vow I will...they are so beautiful in the pictures I have seen I can only imagine what they look like in real life.

Chasity: yeah walkie talkies are the bestes! 😉 we bought them 2 weeks ago, to use at work, and they are so unbelivably cool!!

yeah, the nordern lights where amazing!! i was just so... WOW-wd by them! and unbelivably happy too to have seen them!! i even had to call my mom,and ask her to go out to the backyard(no street lights) she could see some white lights too(she lives in fredrikstad, which is 100km away from here) she said thay she thought it was stronger over oslo though.

Chasity and Faldor! i wish you both will see'em some day!!🙂

Aurora Borealis is cool. One day I'd like to see it live also. Too much light pollution for serious astronomers these days - especially in this neck of the woods...

yeah, i've heard that light pollution can be a bit of a prob for people in that proffection! i got lucky, i was standing in a place where there where no lights around me!

This native girl I used to go out with told me you can make the northern lights get brighter by whistling at them through your fingers really loud.

I figured it had something to do with oxygen being deprived from her brain, but one time she was finger-whistling at the lights, and I swear she was adjusting the brightness.

She was from a long line of shamans though, so who knows what she was really up to.😉
