"Normal Again" Or, Why Every Episode After "The Gift" is Canonically Non-Canon

I guess the 'Angel spin-off show' puts a hole in the delusion theory, no way Buffy would invent a off-shoot world that she had no part of whilst at the same time having a delusional world where she is the centre of attention.
But what if S5 Buffy jumped to her death but just endd up with a traumatic brain injury with the hallucinations to match? Like, at the end of S7 Buffy wakes up in the hospital, head all bandaged up, and only a few months had passed?

In universe, the delusion would be for the last two seasons, because they definitely don't follow on from the first five.

But what if S5 Buffy jumped to her death but just endd up with a traumatic brain injury with the hallucinations to match? Like, at the end of S7 Buffy wakes up in the hospital, head all bandaged up, and only a few months had passed?

Which makes a lot more sense than what's presented. Or it could all be a hallucination as she passes through the hell portal. After all, S6 in particular looks like it's D'Hoffryn and the Lower Beings' idea of light entertainment, so it could well be a hell portal induced hallucination.
