so i was just told something interesting. my friend was reading an angel magazine today and apparently Joss said that Illyria didnt die at the end of angel.
so i wonder if this means that hes gonna do a spin off or something with her that he felt the need to tell people this.
he wouldnt ssay who else though.
 
Well I think the only character we can assume died at the end of Angel was Gunn.

I agree that we can safely assume that the only person we can for sure speculate as dead would be Gunn. He was in bad shape before hitting the alley.

I have extreme faith in Illyria surviving. She didn't come all the way back from her time as an old one to just die in the alley. No way! Hopefully we will see her butt kicking some time soon.
 
We dont even know if she can die at least like die in the regular way not just go and live in a well for a few million years

VERY good point brought up here! Never thought about it but it makes total sense to me.
 
I had read this post earlier, and then watched "Not Fade Away". I was reminded during this episode that Illyria was taken down by Hamilton in the previous episode. And she still came out, and healed very quickly, so it is a possibility that she cannot be killed or is very hard to kill.

Considering that Angel was beat down by Hamilton and was suffering what appeared to be some major damage, and Illyria did not suffer that much, it confirms for me that Illyria might be 'immortal'. She would be hard to destroy. And does anybody think that she has self-healing powers. It appeared that not that much time had passed between Illyria being hurt by Hamilton and Wesley applying the medication to her wounded neck. And immediately after, she was fine.
 
As far as we know she doesn't eat and has no major organs kind of like a vampire and they're immortal although they do eat but dont have organs that work again as far as we know i think she's a self perpetuating being that can never die or at least has some solar power charger thing lol
 
No- you're right becuase Angel said (in 'Hole in the world') that Fred's organs were cooking and then Illyria said (in 'Shell') that Fred's brain collapsed; which suggests that Illyria doesn't actually require any human organs. Either that or... she grew more?
I hope she survived but don't forget how easily that 'liason' guy beat her...
I do think she survived though as she was all fired up after Wesley's death. Hmm...

No you are probably right! That seems to make sense to me, I just never thought about it I guess!
