The Long Journey Home

For several days that became weeks they continued on their way, Damien and Martha journeyed on the boards of the wagon, keeping their daughters Alfreda and Halliber hidden from sight in the wagon. Alfreda preferred that she should be known as Alfred(a) the second a being a silent 'a'. As the end of the twenty first day found its completion the family reached the stone circle of their dreams. At the end of each day the family would make a camp for themselves and the horses.

After several weeks had passed the members of the family felt comfort with the surroundings of the stones. When two men wandered into their camp and sat by the pile of wood that would soon be a fire. Greeting both of the men the family they drew their staffs which they directed at a gathering of light that flared from the gathering of the ends of their staffs.

A fire began to burn from the wood, a warmth from the fire was gladly received by each of the family and the two men. Martha presented the four footed cauldron that she had filled with bits of an animals body with edible plants and a thickener for the water. She put the cauldron on some of the rocks in the fire to heat up the stew. The bodies of the family then caste shadows onto the boulders of the inner stone circle.

Halliber felt a glare of sadness after she had given her only two toys to her sister Alfreda who enjoyed getting the model of a tree on the base of the altar stone. Halliber placed a small sculpture of herself on the flat of the horizontal stone, the light from the image of her lit up the outer stone circle. Damien and Martha had soon dragged several logs from the fallen trees, aided by the pulling strength of their horses.

The trees slid along the ground for people to sit on and those people were quickly followed by more people. Halliber soon had made friends with the people who had sat on the logs, the air began to be followed with a rhythmic drumming sound that echoed within the circle of stones, shadows formed from the vertical statues of wood to be that of wolves, bears and trees the low howls of the animals combined with the sound of the drums.

Alfreda carefully turned the cauldron around in an effort to remove the sounds though it changed nothing even when some of the stew bubbled over the edge of the cauldron, nothing seemed to rescue their minds from the constant drumming and the howls. Martha looked to the surface of the stew, she saw images start to form on the surface of the stew.

“I can see people from many generations of my people for have existed for over a thousand years. Many of those people now only fill me with dred, yet from two of those people comes a line who I am proud to call a descendent, her name is Nova. Her life might start as being an insult to the memories of my kind but from the girls initial scared attitude will come a great intelligence,

enough intelligence for others to know of her willingness to be of help for anyone who might need some help, I know she is one who chooses to become one who has chosen to fight the forces of darkness. A child whose faith in all things will begin to form an interest in knowing the powers of the elements, starting with a few small powers her gift will reveal in itself the cavernous gift as her friendship presents the surrounding shadows as false,

she will continue to do good until no one can doubt her ability. Such is that her powers show physical prowess, her friendship will be given as the ones that have also begun to show her great ability to defeat the evil. Together they grow, often doubting the other yet ultimately their unending admiration for the other grows. Nova sought the friendship of wise people in the nearby surrounds, of people to help her when she needed the help of others.

The Long Journey Home Part 2

Nova asked her Watcher to tell her about herself, he told her that there was nothing written about her history, “As far as I am concerned you are a normal girl,” said the Watcher. Nova was unimpressed by what she had just been told, she felt that there was more she could learn about herself. A trip into the shopping mall exposed a new concept to her though she did not want to be alone.

After considering her options she asked one of the girls in her class, the girl with a name similar to a tree. The name of the tree was Bay, the leaves constituted part of the name it was known by: Bayleaf, the girls name was Bayleigh. Nova smiled at the thought of the girls name and invited her to accompany her to the Palmists Shop, Bayleigh said she felt honoured to be asked by her.

Nova arranged an appointment for her palm to be read at the Palmists Shop then she suggested to Bayleigh that they go at that day and time. Bayleigh took a large note book with her, telling Nova she would write down what was said. Nova smiled, “I knew there was a reason why I seemed drawn to you. Deciding not to tell her Watcher,

Nova wanted to avoid telling the Watcher how wrong it was to tell her that nothing was known of her past. The day and the time soon became apparent, Bayleigh knew Nova was nervous about what she would be told and tried to comfort her new friend by resting an arm on her shoulders. In the shop the Palmist, Samantha Richards invited them into a back room,

the friends were asked to be seated facing her. Her new friend smiled to Nova, “There I told you things would work out,” said Bayleigh. Samantha looked to Nova, gently held her left hand and studied her palm before talking to Nova. “You have an unually long life line, something that I feel needs to be looked into,

most other health line are pretty much wear I would expect them to be, hmm yes,” declared Samantha. Gently putting her hand back onto the table. “My next part of the investigation to learn about you requires the use of playing cards, now these cards are a normal pack of Hearts, Spades, Diamonds and Clubs and I did remove the jokers,” Samantha handed her the pack of the cards.

“I will want you to shuffle the cards until you are satisfied you feel they best suit you, that might be two shuffles or it might be fourteen shuffles, all that is important is that you feel good. When you have completed the shuffling hand the pack to me and I will set them out in fans of three cards, I will do the whole pack when only four are left I will set them out in two pairs of two.

I will read them based on my thoughts.” Bayleigh watched intently how Samantha lay the cards on the table. When done Samantha asked Bayleigh if she had any thoughts, surprised Bayleigh leant forward before sitting back, “Well yes, I studied the first cards and got a picture in my mind of a Stone Circle, of the altar stone that glowed,” said Bayleigh.

Nova stared at her, “People I was told of, long ago that happened to them though I have never told you about that time, it was many centuries ago,” said Nova. Bayleigh faced Samantha, “How could I have known that?” she asked. Samantha grinned to Bayleigh, “I saw how you looked at the cards, you were not just looking at them you were reading the meaning of each card,

your friend has a very specific past I doubt that one reading will suffice. I just hope that I can read you properly, for now,” stated Samantha. She looked at many of the sets, “Okay, do the names Garien, Martha, Halliber, Alfreda mean anything to you?” Staggered by what she had just been asked Nova replied,

“The names Garien and Martha are of my past, as for Halliber she was one of their daughters as was Alfreda although she preferred to be known of as Alfred, how did you know that?” asked Nova. “The cards are telling me that Halliber was your mother though I am not getting any name for your father,” Samantha became silent, she stared at the cards,

“I don't understand, there is a grouping of three aces, they seem to be telling me your father is, oh my!” Samantha's eyes began to well up with tears, “Your father was one of the Powers That Be, you are the Chosen One.”
Bayleigh gripped Nova's hand. "For comfort," said Bayleigh.

Nova felt ill at ease as she waited outside the shop, Bayleigh attempted to comfort her but she was fighting a losing battle. As they wandered out of the mall Bayleigh asked Nova what she had learnt about herself, “Although I was told that Halliber was my mother that was from a couple of centuries ago so I'm not to sure about the reality of that. As for who my father is, some clarification would be in order,” said Nova.

They continued to wander back to their homes, Bayleigh pointed to a ridge where her Watchers home was. “How about we go up there and let your watcher know how things are progressing, if nothing else it might give him a direction for his thoughts to be targetting.” Nova agreed, “My watcher needs somewhere to look,

telling what we found out might send him into areas that need to be looked at.” They continued to wander though neither of them felt any form of security with their forward motion. Nova stopped, “Give me a direction, somewhere I might find an answer.” Bayleigh felt uncomfortable, “You could try a religion though not a regular one, you could try a Quakers meeting house,” said Bayleigh.

“What could I find there?” asked Nova. “From what I've been told they don't ask God for direction, they seek direction from their inner self. The idea they have is to make themselves a better person, and that is what you will hopefully get, when you seek the answers from within. The least you might find are the places you might go to find an answer,” said Bayleigh. Nova saw the promise of what Bayleigh said and told her to lead the way.

They wandered through the side streets though now they had a purpose of where to go, Nova faced Bayleigh and asked her if they could take this time off school, Bayleigh said, “The principal will have to be very secure of his job position to chastise us for going to a Quakers Meeting House especially if there is a visitors signing in book,

as we will have proof of we had been, given the problems he'd face from the education people because of the religious persecution, he will be okay with us going there,” said Bayleigh. Nova began to realise a sense of happiness, “I am so glad I asked you to be with me,” said Nova. As they went to the door of the meeting house Nova felt a feeling of self,

passing through the doorway they signed the visitors book. Inside the main room Nova felt a sense of inner peace, she turned to Bayleigh, “You were right to suggest we come here Bayleigh I feel as though I can be at one with myself I might be able to understand what I need to ask myself,” stated Nova. After an hour of quiet reflection they began to understand about themselves.

They looked to each other and Nova suggested they go to her home. They wandered along the sidewalks until they got to where Nova lived, “Well I could do with a hot drink how about you?” asked Nova. Going into the kitchen the pair grabbed a chair each, Bayleigh sat on hers while Nova made the drinks. “You might need to put out another drink,” said Bayleigh.

“Why, do you think my mother is about to come through the door?” asked Nova. “That'd give you a chance to introduce her to me,” said Bayleigh.
Nova gathered a pack of playing cards from a drawer in the cupboard, “Fancy playing a game?” asked Nova. “I wouldn't say it is playing a game, that layout the Palmist did was a bit to complicated for me to follow it

I would have preferred her to use this method,” said Bayleigh. Nova looked at how the cards were laid out. “I'm guessing what the Palmist did will give a greater understanding of me, your layout is as you say, easier to understand,” said Nova. “It is,” said Brayleigh. “Hm (mutterred Nova) as long as you understand what you have done, because I do not,” said Nova.

“The card under the first two will let me know something about you, the next card will state what might cross you, if anything. Each subsequent card will help me to understand a bit more about you, if you want to know more than what I can say, I suggest another trip to the palmist and be specific about what you want to know about you,” said Brayleigh.

“I would liker to know more about the me, can you tell me a greater understanding of what the psychic can see?” asked Nova. Brayleigh smiled, “The psychic can read between the cards, of the two of us I am but a poor cousin” said Brayleigh. An older woman came into the room, she looked at the cards then looked accusingly at Brayleigh,

“Are you a witch?” the woman accused Brayleigh of. “Brayleigh, this is my mom, I hope you and her will be friends,” said Nova. “In that case, what you see here is what a palmist does and she is not as witch, your daughter and I just went to visit a Meeting House of the Quakers, they are not what anyone might consider them to be a recognized religion.

But to us they are, just because they do not have a bible to dictate who they are or sing songs of praise to a God nor do they say prayers to that deity. A Quaker seeks time alone with their thoughts to be a better person and to better help other people,” said Brayleigh. “I can see the benefit of that,” said Joy (Nova's mom).

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 4

Despite her slayer intuition telling her that vampires were involved her watcher informed Nova that all the killings in the museum seemed to be connected with a robbery at the back office rather than the displays that allowed the publics perusal. “None of the dead have the tell tale markings that would inform us it was a vampire attack,” said her watcher.

Brayleigh sided with Nova but both girls knew they would not get believed unless they found some very compelling reasons for people to believe them.
Across town in one of the better neighbourhoods the vampires relaxed, knowing that the police were unable to understand how the robbers escapes them. The slayers people were at a loss to explain why nothing of the occult was taken.

The day finally came when she had to return to the Palm reader, once again Nova wanted her friend Bayleigh to go with her, the two of them entered the shop. The Palm reader was a bit surprised, she hadn't expected Nova to return. Having to usher her remaining customers from the shop Samantha suggested that they sit back from the table,

“I do not want you to throw the table at me,” said Samantha. Nova was surprised by her, “Why would you say that about me?” asked Nova. “I did a bit of work based on what happened a your last sitting, I learnt some amazing revelations about your history, for one your mother was not who you think she was a chosen vampire who had been invited to enter the next realm.

You were born in that realm then sent to be here, the memories you have were forced into you,” said Samantha. Bayleigh faced Nova, “Your Watcher is going to have great fun coming to terms with being a Watcher to a Vampire Slayer, The Vampire Slayer – N.” Nova looked disdainfully to her friend Bayleigh, “Mind you your notion does have a bit of merit

I wonder if you could be my partner what with your interest in the occult we could battle the supernatural entities who wish harm on humans,” said Nova. Samantha stared at them, “You are a what!” she exclaimed. Nova faced Bayleigh and grimaced, “I forgot where we were,” said Nova. “So did I,” announced Bayleigh. Both of them looked to Samantha.

Nova sheepishly grinned to Samantha, she stated, “Care to join us?” “You want me to fight the undead?” asked Samantha. Nova faced Bayleigh, “Not straight away, for now it'd be good if we had someone to speak to about what we need to do. I don't know this but I might be able to send people to you,” said Nova.

“I'd like someone to talk to about what we might face,” Bayleigh looked at all the books on the shelves around her, “We might be able to send a few new customers your way,” said Bayleigh. Samantha began to smile, “Who or what does this Watcher belong to?” “The Watcher is of a group of humans who we the vampire hunters allowed to watch over us,

they then took it upon themselves to be in charge of us, it might be a problem to get rid of them but it might be for the best. “What do they do?” asked Samantha. “They help the vampire slayer to come to terms with fighting vampires,” said Nova. “So a Watcher whose charge is a vampire and who tries to teaches said vampire to kill vampires seems a bit problematic,” said Samantha.

“You don't have to tell the Watcher anything,” said Bayleigh. She could see that Nova was deep in though about ignoring the Watcher, Nova faced Samantha, “If you are up for it then I think it will be worth making the change,” said Nova. “I like the idea, I've been contemplating finding a new direction that I could push my abilities in,

seeking the history of vampire and the chosen vampires, that could be something I might be able to find interest,” said Samantha. Samantha looked at the books on her shelf, “I will need to find new books to collect,” said Samantha. Bayleigh smiled to her. “Based on what I have learnt in the last few days you might need to write those books.

Let's face it, how many books are there about dead supernatural monsters who normally turn to dust, then when the chosen vampire goes to the land of dead and one of the vampires gives birth to her offspring when she is there. Finding the history of that child is well, Bayleigh looked into Samantha's eyes. “Problems, problems, problems,” said Bayleigh.

“Failing that I see a world of interest in searching for the hostory of said Vampire,” said Samantha. “What you both seem to be forgetting is that the vampire would help you,” stated Nova. They both faced Nova, “While three heads might be better than two I'd prefer to think along the lines that you Samantha and I would be best at research,” said Bayleigh.

“I get it, you think I'll do the best at fighting our enemies admittedly you might be right to think that, I am able to attack with greater ferocity than you and I dare say that you will be able to help me to bring powers of healing to the fore. More importantly you think I will be best at making the drinks for us, so what was that,

was it one or two spoons of salt you wanted?” asked Nova.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 5

Being sat about the table each of them was reading a book. “It is just a thought Samantha but could you make contact with a certain person who was killed by a vampire?” asked Nova. Samantha thought about what she needed to do. “I dare say I could do,” replied Samantha. She began to stare intently into her vision in the crystal ball.

“What are you doing?” asked Bayleigh. “Just staring at the ball, directing my thoughts on what Nova just asked me,” said Samantha. Bayleigh grinned to Samantha as she began to smile. “Does that mean you have a successful contact?” asked Nova. A couple were out at a lookout, necking when a vampire interrupted them. Nova offered to teach them a better way

She wanted them to keep necking even though they were not happy to see the vampire. “Yeah I know, odd that,” said Samantha. “Well at least I have a start, where are they now and do they know who the vampire was?” asked Nova who began to flick at the ends of her hair. The couple worked at a bar in town where the vampire was a customer.

Samantha looked to the crystal ball, “Is someone going to tell me the names of the vampires?” asked Samantha. “Here we go.” A voice just told me it was Brian Redcliffe and Amanda Brock, which is interesting. The person telling me this is the vampires ex sister who was killed by a vampire when she was waiting for her brother.

“She is upset she had to wait for her brother and blames Brian and Amanda for keeping her out by herself like that, right or wrong she wants revenge,” said Samantha. Nova looked in the phone book to see if she could find either of their names, before she found them Bayleigh pointed to their names. “And it has where they live, are you going to go there first or will you have a look in the bar? “asked Bayleigh.

“I'm glad I put on my adult make up today, I do not want to get asked how old I am this time though I'll be driving by their house first,” said Nova. At the house Bayleigh pointed to a flickering light on the rear veranda. Nova went to the veranda where she saw and asked the girl there. “Are you Brian's ex sister or would you prefer me to talk to you as a vampire?”

The sister looked to Nova, “Know me as a vampire do you, mind you I bet you don't see many stalkers who are vampires do you?” Nova smiled, “That is not something I'd ever thought of before, it would bugger up the police investigations wouldn't it, finding the dead person at the scene where the stalker was has two specific fang marks,” said Nova.

The sister faced Nova, “So what are you going to do?” asked the sister. “First of all I'd want to know who killed you but being as you did kill Brian and Amanda I'll need to deal with that,” said Nova. “All things considered that is okay I liked my brother so his death will cause me great pain eventually although I do not know who Amanda is, sorry, was.” She shrugged her shoulders.

“That vampire who got me I'm sure I know who it was, I wish there was some way to help me remember,” said the sister. Nova asked Bayleigh, “Can you get Samantha, I am hoping she can help the vampire remember who sired her,” said Nova. The sister grimaced to Nova, “How can a human get me, a vampire to remember the vampire who killed me?” asked the sister.

“In case you did not realize it, this Samantha is my friend that and I am a vampire,” said Nova. The sister stepped back a few paces. “And I thought I led a complicated life,” said the sister, she smiled to Nova. Not thinking about who that vampire was helped her remember that he was the delivery guy for a bakery that delivered to where she worked in town,

the sister removed a business card from her inside jacket pocket with his name on it.” Nova rang Bayleigh, “You do not need to tell Samantha to come here.” The sister had just remembered the vampires name but thought the problem might be compounded at this point, if he had a girlfriend or wife she might be a vampire.

“Thing is if he lived by himself he will not be able to get into his own home but he will be able to get into where he worked,” said Nova she grinned then added that she would go there first. “Maybe I should tag along with you to meet that vampire,” said Nova. Nova and the sister faced the vampire who had killed the sister,

the vampire was about to ask them their names when the sister plunged a stake into the vampires heart. She grinned to Nova, “I'm glad that worked, I thought it would regardless of it being a vampire or a human who got stabbed in the heart it was liable to kill them, I do feel happier because I killed the guy who killed me, you don't get to say that to often do you?” asked the sister.

Nova knew she would need to keep it quiet so she killed the sister. Bayleigh wandered up to Nova who was walking alongside Samantha. “Where is everyone?” asked Bayleigh. She looked at the unused space either side of her. “The sister is dead and the vampire who killed that sister is dead so all loose ends have been catered for.” Nova smiled to Bayleigh and Samantha.

“Well I am grateful,” said Samantha. “I am just a bit confused,” said Bayleigh. “I can live with that, well I could if I was still living but I guess you know what I mean,” said Nova. Samantha wanted to know if it was possible for her to speak to Nova's mother saying she would have thought you'd be pleased,” said Samantha.

Nova stared at the floor. “Maybe one day I will find a way that I can make contact with her, until then I'd like to imagine she'll be happy with what I've done, maybe one day soon when I have racked up many things to say to my mom she'll be happy,”
Nova was pleased with herself.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 6

Nova had just finished making herself a hot drink, she was hoping it would wake herself up when Samantha wandered into the room. “Good morning I'm sorry if I got here a bit early but I thought it'd be best,” said Samantha. Surprised, Nova stared at her then realised who it was, “Hello Samantha what is it?” asked Nova.

“I was doing some divination on the Astral Plain when an old friend introduced me to her mother, the mother gave me a pocket watch she once used,
the mother explained that the pocket watch had the ability to take it owner back in time, she showed Nova how to set the date, though the watch now stated the month and year, now you can visit any time you want

just make sure that time is important as changing time can have ghastly results,” she said. Samantha smiled to Nova. That was when my friends mother handed me the pocket watch, she asked that I give you the pocket watch. Nova held her hand towards Samantha to take possession of the pocket Watch, “Oh and one more thing Nova, only put the watch in a pocket where it will always remain in,” said Samantha.

Nova thought about which pocket that would be Nova tried to think about her clothes, each of them she knew that every day she was liable to change them, she even thought about her shoes but even they would be subject to change, Nova sat back onto the lounge chair and thought about what her real mother had once said to her about the pocket of skin that was on her inner arm just below her left shoulder.

Nova smiled to herself knowing it would be the best place, she held her arm out placing the watch in a pocket of her skin. Nova thanked Samantha just before Bayleigh entered the room, Samantha acknowledged Bayleigh as she watched her leave the room. “I am glad we both live here and like we were told this place is more than big enough for the both of us,” said Bayleigh.

Finding that the time had just become more important to her than it had ever been Nova opened the top drawer of the kitchen cupboard, moving the dish cloths aside Nova picked out the dainty wrist watch for the inside of her left wrist. Later that day Nova sat next to Bayleigh on the lounge, “What is wrong?” asked Nova.

“Last year I bought myself a necklace which I always wear but now its gone, the last time I can remember having it on was about to wash my face this morning,” said Bayleigh. Nova thought about when they first met that morning, Nova couldn't remember seeing the necklace. So Nova went to the privacy of her room, there she held up her arm and took out the pocket watch from her pocket of skin.

Altering its time to when she got up that morning and leaving the date to be as it stated Nova found herself wandering out of her bedroom she noticed Bayleigh out of the corner of her eye and followed her after she had cleaned herself in the shower. Bayleigh notice that Bayleigh wasn't wearing the necklace when she left the bathroom,

stepping back so Bayleigh would not bump into her as she left the bathroom with a towel about her neck, one that she would normally use after having had a shower. Nova followed Bayleigh's footsteps up until then. Wandering into the kitchen she then wandered into Bayleigh's bedroom. Nova looked at her friends possessions on her bedside table, she picked up her handkerchief.

Under where the handkerchief was where Nova saw her friends necklace and knew the reason why Bayleigh had left it there that morning. Nova went to stand at the doorway to the lounge room, she looked to where Bayleigh was sat. Nova then went out to the shed and in the privacy of the garden shed Nova changed the time on the pocket watch to be the same time should be according to her wrist watch.

Relaxing when the pocket watch was at the time as her wrist watch for her to re appear. Nova went into the lounge room to sit beside next to her friend on the comfortable three seater lounge unit. “There you are Bayleigh,” said Nova as she held her necklace to her. Bayleigh smiled to her friend. “Where did you find it?” asked Bayleigh.

“You left it on your bedside table,” said Nova. I went into your room to see where you started the day, I wanted to check everything that you had done until I had found your necklace,” said Nova. “Now I remember!” exclaimed Bayleigh. Bayleigh was pleased to remember what had really happened, when I went to bed last night I took off the necklace and put it on the table.

Then this morning I remember seeing it, I must have thought I had put it on,” said Bayleigh. Bayleigh asked Nova to hold her hair away from her neck as she put on the necklace on her, thank you, though there is one thing I don't understand a bit earlier I'm sure I saw you in the doorway. Really Bayleigh do you really think that I could possibly be in two places at once?” asked Nova.

She grinned in a way that Bayleigh would hardly see her.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 7

Nova was sat at the table after cleaning her plate with a slice of bread after eating her evenings meal, she had began to consider about what she had learnt about during the previous days when Samantha walked into the room with Bayleigh right behind her. “Guess who I found at the door?” asked Bayleigh. Samantha apologized to Nova,

“Earlier today I learnt a about a previous life of yours and about your friend,” Samantha turned about to face Bayleigh and stated, “Sorry,” Bayleigh faced Nova, “What does she mean?” asked Bayleigh. Nova shrugged as Samantha sat on a chair at the table, “Can I have a black coffee with two heaped tea spoons of sugar.

Bayleigh shot a grin to Nova then went to make Samantha her coffee. Putting it on a place mat she asked Samantha what it was she found out. “This morning I used a replica of the brass tripod Nostradamus used, I saw a few things that I ought to tell you.” Both Bayleigh and Nova sat upright, they both were intent on hearing what Samantha had to say.

Samantha grinned, “About Bayleigh first, a couple of generations ago a woman had two daughters, one daughter had a girl who gave birth to Bayleigh the other daughter gave birth to a woman who produced a daughter by the name of Willow.” Samantha faced Nova, “Neither daughter knew the name of the others child,”

Nova started to nod, “Both are types of tree: Willow and Bay, I like that,” said Nova. “Willow was a powerful witch though not in the same way Bayleigh is, Willow could use magics at will while Bayleigh is a conduit for some of the most powerful witches from Britain's creation there are two from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England.

Breaking into a smile Samantha started to speak of who she saw, the two girls from Scotland could control every manner of water that it appeared as. The Welsh girls could use their ability to see through rocks at will. The Irish girls were known for their ability to levitate all manner of objects or beings whenever they wanted to.

The English girls had a vast understanding of and the ability for control of fire.” Bayleigh faced Samantha, “How will that assist Nova?” Samantha grinned, “They are the children of people who are on their way here, when they get here Nova will accept them as her friends together they will be able to help others,

they will meet in one the caverns near here though it has been said that the English girls are most interesting,” said Samantha. It was later the following day that the English girls arrived. “About your ability with fire what is it?” asked Nova. “The wonder of fire, it can make most objects turn black after they are burnt,

yet it brings a light that can be welcomed when in a darkened room, a candle is subject to an intrinsic property it can give. Giving fear to many things when a long line of bushfire approaches and joy when that fire diminishes. Fire can give both life and death and like life the fire can and will breathe great wonder into us.”

Nova saw relief at having many varied friends who could help her become an aid to any who needed help, Bayleigh saw a great value at having people who were from the same ancestor. After a short while Samantha, Nova and Bayleigh went to sit on the top step outside the rear door to think about who was coming.

They gazed at the bed of Daffodils though they soon became aware of a woman staring at them, about to ask her what her name was Samantha interrupted Bayleigh. “She is the woman who I saw in the crystal ball, “How are you here?” asked Samantha. Nova faced the woman almost recognizing her, why are you here?” asked Nova.

“One time that I remember when I was but a child my sister came to me and said she had just met an elderly woman who had given her a necklace, she told her that when the day presented itself I should give the necklace to you Nova.” “Thank you, but please tell me what is your and your sisters names?” asked Nova.

The woman replied that her name was Halliber and the name of her sister was Alfreda, “Though my sister always preferred to be known as Alfred.”
Nova glanced at the large Emerald that took pride of place at the heart of the main setting of the necklace, wiping it with her thumb Nova felt the ground by her feet move.

She realised that the ground was whispering to her, “It is about time for you to realise who you are about to become.” Bayleigh felt that she was stood beside a river even though she was still sat on a concrete step by the rear door, though when she looked at the ground she saw a river under the surface of the ground,

she looked into the waters of the river, believing what she saw she gently lobbed a stone into the water, it caused a splash which realized the attentions of Nova and Samantha. “Did I just do that,” asked Bayleigh looking at the ground. “I see that the good times will be ahead when the others get here,” said Nova.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 8

Bayleigh had begun to doubt her ability or even the need for her to be there as she had failed to noticed to notice any feeling of any person who might be of benefit to Nova save Samantha, that was until Samantha mentioned that three people had started at the college on the same day, plus they were of the same family.

Considering that may have been a reason to for go their importance Bayleigh began to feel that both of the sisters were supposed to bhe there. Inviting both of the sisters to a picnic where they could meet her, Nova and Samantha. When the sisters Sharon and Sandra did arrive at the picnic, Bayleigh asked both of them if or how well they knew about the abilities both of them were said to possess.

They smiled to Bayleigh, “Be are prepared,” they held both their hands infront of them at just below waist height pointing them towards the ground, they both threw a flame from their hands that lit the dead grass before them, then they extinguished the flames. Bayleigh tried to explain to each of them that she didn't want to offend either,

explaining she hadn't been sure how to broach the subject. Helping herself to one of the cut sandwiches Nova said she wanted to create a group that would help those in need. Samantha said there was a spare room at her shop that could be available to them as a suitable room for njights they decided to meet and as other members of the group arrived.

“I am guessing there might be eleven of us in all,” said Samantha. Nova hadn't thought of that many of them there would be, only that there would be a group of them. Bayleigh stated it would be better to meet in Samantha's place rather than in the park. “Could that be the reason for our get togethers?” asked Samantha.

Sandra smiled, the ancestors of Nova have experienced ending vampires and all ilk of Hell Spawn we will continue to do the same though now the end has begun to make itself known. “The sooner we get to know each other the better it will be,” said Nova. As each of them wander about the room they bumped into each other,

when they did that caused them to start to know each other. That way until she felt that time was helping them also the time caused her create to investigate each item in the room, delighted at the ornaments on the shalves and those pictures hanging on the wall she began to become aware of a certain consistency of those in the paintings.

“I see you have begun to notice their familiarity to each other, they were of the same following, people you may have recognized through history were predecessors even though you never knew they were,” shocked Nova looked to Samantha. “I can see one of them as the eldest daughter of Queen Boudicca she was known to the many as Sandra though it is not her real name.

The other being the reincarnation of she who the Catholic church condemned to death by burning, Joan of Arc, then making her a saint a century or two later. Bayleigh held her head high, knowing herself to now be considered in the same circles of them. “There are many others whose names we know nothing of,” said Bayleigh.

I am looking forward to meeting those who can cause animals, humans or all forms of plant life to rise into the air or to see a column of water,” said Samantha. Watching a fire glow on a platter of steel burn on the wooden floor Nova sat with pride and she listened to Samantha's words Samantha told them that they night continue to fight those of Hell or they might need to fight Hell's Demons.

Watching those on the walls become sturdier and have a uniform consistency. Pictures of her friends appeared within the small sturdier in their paintings, the shelves where books were also displayed though Nova was unsure if the display was for her benefit, or for those who had come before her though know she felt that they had that others had not been mentioned.

Nova called for her friend Bayleigh to assist her. When Bayleigh arrived Nova told her what had happened and that her mother was liable to introduce new friends to her, those new friends being friends. Several young women appeared, each had gifts of the natural elements of nature. The Welsh girls named Bronwyn and Gwen

spoke mainly powers over all of the Earth yet Bronwyn's intensions lay with the gifts of controlling water, casusing the warmth to exceed its taste. Gwen brought to the group of them the warmth that lived from being able to give the benefits from fire, it was Gwen who brought a symbolic control of the North, South, West and East wind.

Nova thought of what was left then began to realise they could win the final battle should they play the game correctly. She smiled to her friend Bayleigh and started to nod her head.
“What will we do after the end has finished, that could be in our favour and the worlds” said Nova.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 9

Bayleigh decided that the time was right for her to go to meet Nova at her house, even though she was going there without notifying Nova first, she did not feel as though she was doing any wrong. Knocking on the door she received a curt response. Bayleigh tried to apologise, “Sorry I did not let you know I was coming but I didn't think it would cause you any distress,” stated Bayleigh.

Nova looked to her with a vacant expression on her face, “That's okay please do not pay me any heed, I was miles away thinking of how a friend of a friend who had died at the hands of a soucriant,” said Nova. Bayleigh looked to her friend, somewhat perplexed, “Umm, what is a soucriant?” asked Bayleigh.

Nova gave a short grin, “They are renowned as vampires, of the manner of witches from several certain hills on a couple of the Caribbean islands,
Nova faced her friend Bayleigh and smiled. “Which made me consider the plight of the vampire or any other immortal creature. What will happen to them when the world ends,

how will any immortal being be left to face the end when or how the world ends?” asked Nova. Bayleigh fraced the door as Samantha entered the room, “I was scrying and the message I got was that you and Nova were having a discussion that needed a third hand,” said Samantha. “I didn't know scrying could do that,” said Bayleigh.

“Normally I would agree with you but not anymore,” muttered Samantha. “I was considering the life/death of a vampire and that it is reputed to be immortal as long as no one kills it, immortal in that nothing within itself will bring about its end, so with humans being off the menu for the vampires to feed on the secret of when will the last of them be seen

will the vampires control their rate of death or make them provide controlled blood bags.” “My job will be to end them before they can do that,” said Nova. “For that to happen I will need to direct you the best I can,” said Samantha. “You can help me with that, by learning about the past haunt of Vampires of the past,” said Nova.

“We could have a fun time, by telling the vampires that the last remaining humans are hiding amongst the vampires that would probably cause fighting amongst them until they have eliminated the weaker of them.” “That depends largely on how the world is going to end, be it the threat from space, an asteroid or part of a space ship that strikes a dormant super volcano.

It might be due to some over zealous country leader that the demons should have eliminated,” said Samantha. Nova sat up. “The clever ones amongst the humans may seek to escape the battles by hiding in the depths of the sea, trouble is sooner or later they will have to come out of the water and onto the land,

depending on if any land still exists I doubt that will upset them much but the fact that they will face their own end would be fun to see,” said Nova. “Until then we have to keep telling ourselves that we can survive the end,” said Samantha. Bayleigh disagreed with both of them, “We need to find a way we can control what is and make us live in a new beginning,”

Bayleigh began to smile,”There is a better way, with Samantha's help for us to foresee the future so that we can avoid the end while seeking the way we can elimanate what ever the threat might be,” said Brayleigh. “It is too easy to try and elimanate the threat of the end when it becomes known but it is far better if we can cause the end of the threat before it has gained any impetus.”

Nova agreed with Samantha.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 10

Samantha had spent several hours that morning staring at the images that were being relayed to her from her three legged cauldron, she kept seeing images of an overgrown misshapen werewolf that attacked people and ripped them apart. Knowing that something needed to be done she rang Bayleigh and Nova to tell them what she had seen.

After a few more phone calls the three of them packed their gear into Bayleigh's car and they began the long drive to Jericho. Finding the towns hotel easier than expected they settled in with relative ease. Going to the towns lookout in the car they left it there and began wandering through the relative wilderness.

They looked for signs of a large animal paws prints on the ground, some of those they found were a lot larger than any of them had imagined, Nova knew she would need all the strength she could muster. Bayleigh said she was glad of her 357 magnum quickly admitting it would have been better if she had not left it at home.

Samantha continued to use a walking stick to help her move about in the mud, Bayleigh and Nova quickly followed suit. Following what appeared to be a track of sort they approached some ornate metalwork that spelled out the name, 'Nevermore Academy'. Bayleigh faced Nova, “Now if it had said words something like along the lines of Hogwarts I could have understood it,

I would know that I would be more lost but Nevermore, What sort of name is that? The three of them continued to wander through the forest following where the paw prints led them, even when they turned out to be human foot prints though Samantha pointed out that they were awful small, almost like a youngish girl.

The three of them followed the prints to what seemed to be a crypt, deciding if they should stay outside of it swhen they did decide that going inside of it was a good idea they found though nothing that might have housed a body was evident going outside of the building Nova pointed to a set of prints that they should follow.

Follow them they did to what appeared like a burnt down shed though it was larger than any they had seen before, it soon became apparent that the building was in fact a chapel for Pilgrims. “This could take us back, they haven't been here for many many generations,” said Bayleigh. Nova looked at the wooden doors,

“Judging on how many years old they are “What say we have a look for any secret trap doors, it might have been built with escape in mind from their pursuers.” After a short time searching the ground of the chapel a secret tunnel was found. It led to the bank of a river. “At least we know how they would have made their escape,

now all we need do is find the house or town the river leads to, or from. Nova was surprised to see the Nevermore Academy not far from the egress of the tunnel.” Samantha stated, “There was a part of what I found that stated that the school grounds were stolen from the Pilgrim Fathers,” said Nova. Bayleigh discovered a line of foot prints leading away from the tunnel.

“The prints veered away from the school, that might mean the creature is more likely from the town,” said Bayleigh. She abruptly stopped at seeing an ugly creature that was about the devour a werewolf. Signalling Nova the two of them attacked the creature they saved the werewolf from being killed. Nova withdrew the spear from the larger creatures head as the werewolf began its transformation.

A girl soon stood before them, “Thank you, if you hadn't been here it would have killed me,” said Enid.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 11

Bayleigh introduced Nova to one of her friends from a year or so ago, “This is Medevuda we lost touch after the troubles she went through when her elder brother passed away,” said Bayleigh. Medevuda sighed, “Bayleigh is right we were good friends.” “My elder brother was a good ten years older than I was,

the age difference meant that we didn't play together though there were times when we actually spoke quite cordially about our other issues with the environment to each other.” “It is strange that we hardly ever spoke about the reality of our real problems, I wish we had as it would have made my life after his death a bit easier.

Reading his journal after he had died caused me grave concerns,” said Medevuda. Nova asked her what she meant, “It was what was in his journal it was that which caused me great concern his manner of explaining what it was about his description of the way that every day seemed to be the same as the previous day,” said Medevuda.

Bayleigh asked how Medevuda had been unable to describe the the brother had been, how he could have ended the trauma he found himself in. How he had begun to live every day just similar to the previous day. Not knowing how to end the trauma caused him concern as he was unaware how to change the end.

Finding a different outcome began to cause him to behave differentley so much so that his mother and father became distraught. Not understanding how she could end the way her brother had to endure the stress he felt from the bullies. Understanding Nova's view it was her mother who designed the clothes he had to wear to school each day.

That boy was often the target for a broup of bullies, they taunted him about the clothes he wore that was when Medevuda realised she and her friends would pick on the boy they insulted him about how he grew his hair. Bayleigh told Nova that the boy wore clothes that did not seem to fit with the style of his hair.

“Surely though the style of hair he had and the clothes he wore were at the discretion of the girls mother, they were not the boys fault,” said Nova. When it was made obvious to her who he was she realised that none of the boys knew. Much to her disgust he had eventually tried to end himself. Meduveda's brother

had been one of those who had said unkind things about him, it was then that realizations began to take effect, there was nothing that could be done without the thought that something could be started. Nova started to understand that Samantha could be useful to join her meaning with Bayleigh inner knowledge.

Joining their notions together Nova began to understand how life could be given for all to be. Samantha would allow them to seek a new future with the aid of Medevuda's lack of understanding of the future. Nova saw that most folk knew of the failure that could exist although they failed to understand that creatures

from other world only travelled to this world to see how the future could be made to be real despite the military's view. Samantha unloaded her visions of Nova's possibilities with the golden anadised disc that was given to her from the outer realms. Bayleigh and Medevuda brought mankind's welcomes of an incredible future.

Nova heard Samantha's goals for tomorrow and began to incorporate the possible future that she saw, this time though Bayleigh heard, saw and then began to believe what Nova told her. Bayleigh smiled, she had begun to have that feeling within her that there was a willingness to help those who wanted the help.

Nova's Long Journey Home Part 12

Nova got a phone call from the police at just after 11 am that morning, a policeman asked her not to go out as a senior officer was on his way to see her. Not understanding the situation completely she rang Samantha but the call wasn't answered. Bayleigh appeared there to assist Nova, waiting with her she spoke to the senior police officer,

Detective Manaheim told Bayleigh and Nova that their friend Samantha had been one of the victims in an explosion at the college. Nova was at a loss about what to do, she relied on Bayleigh to guide her. It wasn't until she got to the hospital that Nova began to realise the enormity of the situation. Samantha was affected by the explosion though it wasn't designed to inflict injury on her.

As they left the room Bayleigh held onto Nova's arm, Bayleigh wanted to support her friend. Nova felt almost fit to faint upon seeing that Samantha's skin on her left shoulder was virtually transparent and the bone was almost clearly definable. Nova was grateful to Bayleigh for her support, so much so that she wasn't aware of where she was,

almost apologetically she started to ask where she was. “This is my laboratory. This is where I turn my virtual guesses into fact,” continued Brayleigh. “But all the machines, the computers, what are you doing?” asked Nova. “Some people might refer to what is done here as witchcraft yet it is the natural aspect of the craft, it has nothing to do with a religious aspect.”

Nova tried to contemplate how what was being done there had anything to do with Samantha's condition. “I do teleportation of myself or others, I work on invisibility. When various times are ready I attempt reanimation.” Nova was surprised, “You can do all that?” she asked. Bayleigh grinned, “It is the powers I exude of mind over matter

that impresses folk especially what the faculty here think is witchcraft, “I think of it as the power of the mind.” Bayleigh took several manila envelopes out of the desk and handed them to Nova. “The lower members of the faculty refer to what I do as a type of science, yet it is the senior members who refer to the pseudo sciences as that of fringe matters.”

Bayleigh pointed to the equipment in the laboratory, “I have your normal forensics package in the back, what you can see are an Optical Coherence Tomograph in the corner,” Bayleigh could see that Nova was very confused. “I use it for the study of human flesh,” Nova was even more upset by what Bayleigh said.

Just then a man entered the lab, “I've got all this salt on this forklift pallet.” Nova didn't know what he wanted to do with it. “I was asked to put it in the water tank.” Nova watched him. Bayleigh smiled as she fixed the electrodes to her neck then she got into the water in the tank and floated on the surface, Nova picked up the directions Bayleigh had left for her to read,

“You want me to allow you to lie on the water until your brain wave activity has mirrored Samantha's brain wave activity!” Nova was stunned but read on, realizing that Bayleigh was going to speak to the unconscious Samantha to learn the identity of whoever created the explosion, to find out what the explosion was made up from so she could save Samantha's life!”

Nova watched Bayleigh's facial expressions as she lay there in the water. She found it unbelievable what Bayleigh had planned to do, so when Bayleigh dragged her body from the water Nova was aghast at what Bayleigh said. “I know the identity of the woman who made the bomb, I know what the ingredients of the bomb were,

I will save Samantha's life. Nova sat back as Bayleigh created the cure to save their friend. In a dream state herself Nova eventually realized that Samantha was talking to her. Nova stared at Bayleigh amazed that her best friend had saved Samantha, amazed that she had been able to hide her ability from her, amazed at the laboratory.

“You do this, what I can only refer to as fringe pseudo-science. Nova picked up the syringe that Bayleigh had just used to inject herself, “How on earth did you know how to mix the elements that would create the lysargic acid diethylamide? Nova read further down the list then exclaimed that lysargic acid diethylamide is LSD,

completely bewildered Nova stated that she hoped Samantha would one day learn how much you were willing to do to help her. Nova realized how good a friend Bayleigh was to both of them.

Nova's Long Journey Home. The revised notion.

Now that I have decided to end that story, I have decided to rewrite it all, opting to make several changes to improve the flow of what I wrote and as such to hopefully make it easier for you the reader to read. (As long as you excuse my errors that is)

Nova's Long Journey Home, revised part 1

For several days they journeyed slowly enough that days became weeks but they deliberately continued on their way. The parents of the children, Damien and Martha rode on the front seat of the wagon. Their daughters Bethany and Halliber they kept hidden from sight in the wagon. Bethany smiled to her sister, Bethany preferred that she should be known by another name, until that day became known she kept silent on the issue. At the end of the twenty first day of travel the family reached the stone circle of their dreams. The family quickly made a make shift camp for the horses and for themselves. That way as the first few weeks slowly passed each member of the family could feel an amount of comfort in the knowledge they were finding happiness learning about the lands of their home adjacent to the stone circle. One day both of the daughters watched as two men wandered into the circle of stones, they became intriuged when the two men pointed to the nearby chapel. The girls gathered their staffs and took them into the circle laying the ends of the staffs to form a circle which began to gather light, the men were surprised to see the girls knew how to make their staffs gather light that became fire, it kept burning when more flammable material was added to it and the staffs were removed, the warmth of the fire was gladly received by both of the girls and the men.
Martha presented several rocks which she placed in the fire then place her four footed cauldron that she had filled with bits of an animals body, she added to the meat several edible plants some water and a thickener for the water. The water in the cauldron soon began to heat up and bubble, the rocks under the cauldron also gave off warmth. The bodies of the men and the girls started to caste shadows onto the rock faces of the inner stone circle. Halliber felt the glare of interest as she saw how the shadows seemed to slowly dance about on the inner stones. Halliber was amused by the shadows and put several of her toys in between each of them, Halliber soon realised what was occuring and placed a small sculpture of a tree between each of them. The images of which were caste on the stones of the circle. Damien and Martha's horses dragged several logs from a nearby copse of trees to give each of them somewhere to sit. Halliber kept increasing her friendship with the men who noticed how the air around them began to be filled with a constant rhythmic drumming sound that echoed within the circle of stones. Shadows had formed from the statuettes of the trees they were abounded by wolves and bears. The low howls of the wolves and growls of the bears combined with the sounds of the drums.
Alfred carefully turned the cauldron around in an effort to remove the sounds though nothing changed even when some of the stew bubbled over the edge of the cauldron, nothing seemed to rescue their minds from the constant drumming and the howls. Martha looked to the surface of the stew, she saw several images start to form on the surface of the stew.
“I can see many people from the previous generations of my people who have existed. Many of those people now fill me with dred, yet from some of those people comes figures who I am proud to call my anscestors. The one of whom I am most proud of is Beth Anne. Her life started as an insult to the memories of my kind but from her arose an attitude that promote a great intelligence, enough intelligence for others to know of her willingness to be of help for anyone who might need some help, I now know that she is one who chooses to become one who has chosen to fight the forces of darkness. A child whose faith in all things began to form an interest knowing all the powers of the elements starting with a few small powers. Her gift quickly began to reveal in itself as a cavernous gift, the friendship she presented amongst the surrounding shadows was as true as anyone could decipher her ability to promote her view, her belief began to be known by anyone who witnessed her ability. Such was the power of her physical prowess, her friendship would be given to anyone who cared to accept her she quickly began her ability to defeat the exponents of evil.
As one she grew over time no doubt was ultimately allowed in her unending admiration for the others who chose to be around her, a gathering of faithful companions grew. Beth Anne allowed the friendship of wise people from the nearby surrounds. Bethany stated that she wanted to be known as Beth Anne, she asked Halliber to write about herself as there was nothing written about her history. Halliber suggested she should refer to her sister by another name so she could remain a secret through history.
“As far as I am concerned you are a normal girl,” said Halliber.
Beth Anne was unimpressed by what she had just been told, she felt that there was more she could learn about herself. A trip into the shopping mall exposed a new concept to her though she did not want to be alone. After considering her options she asked one of the girls in her class, the girl with a name similar to a tree. The name of the tree was Bay, the leaves would constitute part of the name the tree itself was known by: Bayleaf. The parents had chosen her name which was Bethany, she had opted for the change to Beth Anne. Now she decided on yet another change to the name she should be known as, she wanted to be known as Nova.
Nova smiled at the thought of the name she had given herself and invited herself to accompany her friend to the Palmists Shop, Bayleigh said she felt honoured to be asked by her. Nova arranged an appointment for her palm to be read at a Palmists Shop, she then suggested to Bayleigh that they go at that day and at a specific time. Bayleigh took a large note book with her, telling Nova she suggested she would write down what was said and smiled,
“I knew there was a reason why I seemed drawn to you,” said Bayleigh.
The date and the time soon became apparent, Bayleigh knew Nova was becoming nervous about what she would be told and tried to comfort her new friend by resting an arm on her shoulders. In the shop the Palmist, Samantha Richards invited them into a back room, the friends were asked to be seated at a table facing her. Her new friend smiled to Nova.
“I am here to tell you things you should work out,” said Bayleigh.
Samantha looked to Nova and gently she smiled and held her left hand palm up and studied her palm before talking to her.
“You have quite an unusually long life line something that I feel needs to be looked into, the health line shows pretty much the wear as I would expect them it to be, hmm yes,” declared Samantha.
Gently putting her hand back onto the table.
“My next part of the investigation to learn about you requires the use of playing cards, now these cards are a normal pack of Hearts, Spades, Diamonds and Clubs and I did remove the jokers.” Samantha handed her the pack of the cards.
“I will want you to shuffle the cards until you are satisfied you feel that the cards in the pack best suit you and that might be two shuffles or it might be fourteen shuffles, all that is important is that you feel good. When you have completed the shuffling hand the pack back to me and I will set them out in fans of three cards, I will do the whole pack when only four are left I will set them out in two pairs of two. I will read them based on my thoughts as I percieve them.” Bayleigh watched intently how Samantha lay the cards on the table. When done Samantha asked Bayleigh.
“Do you have any thoughts,” surprised by what she heard Bayleigh leant forward before sitting back.
“Well yes, I studied the first cards and got a picture in my mind of a Stone Circle, then of the altar stone that glowed,” said Bayleigh.
Nova stared at her before stating,
“The people I was told of long ago that happened to them though I have never told you about that time, it was many centuries ago,” said Nova.
Bayleigh faced Samantha,
“How could I have known that?” She asked.
Samantha grinned to Bayleigh,
“I saw how you looked at the cards, you were not just looking at them you were reading the inner meaning of each card as it related to the previous card, your friend has a very specific past I doubt that one reading will suffice. I just hope that I can read you properly, for now,” stated Samantha.
She looked at many of the sets,
“Okay, do the names Garien, Martha, Halliber, Alfreda mean anything to you?” asked Samantha.
Staggered by what she had just been asked Nova replied to her,
“The names Garien and Martha are of my distant past, as for Halliber she was one of their daughters - my sister. My name was Alfreda though I preferred it to be known as Alfred, then it became Beth Anne eventually I settled on what it is now, Nova,” she said.
“The cards are telling me that your mothers name was Martha though your fathers name was Garien,” said Samantha.
She then stared at the cards,
“I don't understand, there is a grouping of three aces, they seem to be telling me your father is oh my, Samantha's eyes began to well up with tears, your father is now of the Powers That Be, and that you Nova are a Chosen One.”
Bayleigh gripped Nova's hand.

Nova's Long Journey Home, revised Part 2

Nova felt ill at ease while she waited outside the shop, Bayleigh attempted to comfort her but she knew she was fighting a losing battle. As they wandered out of the mall Bayleigh asked Nova, “What have you learnt about yourself?”
Nova replied to her friend.
“Although I was told that my mothers name was Martha from a couple of centuries ago I'm not to sure about the reality of it as my memory has failed me. As for who my father is, some clarification would be in order though I do have an idea,” said Nova.
They continued to wander back to their homes Bayleigh pointed to a mountain ridge where she declared was a Watchers home.
“How about we go up there and let the watcher know how things are progressing, if nothing else it might give the watcher a direction for his or her thoughts to be targeting,” said Brayleigh.
Nova agreed,
“If that watcher needs somewhere to look, saying what we found out might send him or her into areas that need to be investigated.”
They continued to wander though neither of them felt any form of security with their forward mobility. Nova stopped and gave a direction,
“Somewhere up there that is where I might find an answer.”
Bayleigh felt uncomfortable.
“You could try a religion though not a regular one, you could try a Quakers meeting house,” said Bayleigh.
“What could I find there?” asked Nova.
“From what I have been told, not all of the Quakers ask God for direction, they seek answers from their inner self.”
The idea is they have is to make themselves a better person, and that is what you will hopefully get, when you seek the answers from within.
“The least you might find are the places you need to go to find an answer,” said Bayleigh.
Nova saw the promise of what Bayleigh said and told her to lead the way. They began to wander through the side streets, now they had a purpose of where to go, Nova faced Bayleigh stating,
“Only if we take this time off school,” said Bayleigh.
“The principal will have to be very secure of his job position to chastise us for going to a Quakers Meeting House especially if there is a visitors signing in book, we will have proof of we had been, given the problems he'd face from the education people because of the religious persecution, he will be okay with us going there,” said Bayleigh.
Nova began to realize a sense of happiness within herself.
“I am so glad I asked you to be with me,” said Nova.
As they went to the door of the meeting house Nova felt a feeling of peace as she passed through the doorway, once on the other side they signed the visitors book. Further into the main room Nova felt a sense of inner peace,
“You were right to suggest we come here Bayleigh, I feel as though I can be at one with myself I might be able to understand what I need to ask myself,” stated Nova.
After an hour of quiet reflection they began to understand a bit more about themselves. They looked to each other, Nova suggested they go to her home. They wandered along the sidewalks until they got to where Nova lived,
“I could do with a hot drink just now how about you?” asked Nova.
Going into the kitchen the pair grabbed a chair each, Bayleigh sat on hers, Nova made the drinks.
“You might need to put out another drink,” said Bayleigh.
Nova looked about.
“Why, do you think my mother is about to come through the door?” asked Nova.
“That'd give you a chance to introduce her to me,” said Bayleigh smiling.
Nova gathered a pack of playing cards from a drawer in the cupboard,
“Fancy playing a game?” asked Nova.
“I wouldn't say it is playing a game, that layout the Palmist did was a bit to complicated for me to follow it I would have preferred her to use this method,” said Bayleigh.
Nova looked at how the cards were laid out.
“I'm guessing what the Palmist did will give a greater understanding of me, your layout is as you say easier to understand,” said Nova.
“It is,” said Brayleigh.
“Um (mutterred Nova) as long as you understand what you've done, as I do not,” said Nova.
“The card under the first two will let me know something about you, the next card will state what might cross you, if anything. Each subsequent card will help me to understand a bit more about you, if you want to know more than what I can say, I suggest another trip to the palmist and be specific about what you want to know about you,” said Brayleigh.
“I would liker to know more about the me, can you tell me a greater unstanding of what the psychic can see?” asked Nova.
Brayleigh smiled.
“The psychic can read the unseen lines between the cards, of the two of us I am but a poor cousin,” said Brayleigh.
An older woman came into the room, she looked at the cards then looked at Brayleigh,
“Are you a witch?” the woman asked.
“This is my mother, I hope you and Martha will be friends,” said Nova.
“In that case, what you see here is what a palmist does and no she is not as witch, your daughter and I just went to visit a Meeting House of the Quakers, they are not what anyone might consider them to be a recognised religion but to us they are just because they do not have a bible to dictate who they are or sing songs of praise to,” continued Nova.
“A Quaker seeks time alone with their thoughts to be a better person and to better help other people,” said Brayleigh.
“I can see the benefit of that,” said Joy (Nova's mom).
Despite her slayer intuition telling her that vampires were involved her watcher informed Nova that all the killings in the museum seemed to be connected with a robbery in the back office rather than the displays that allowed the publics perusal.
“None of the dead have the tell tale markings that would inform us it was a vampire attack,” said her watcher.
Brayleigh sided with Nova yet both girls knew they would not get believed unless they found some very compelling reasons for people to have believe them. Across town in one of the better neighbourhoods the vampires relaxed, knowing that the police were unable to understand how the robbers escapes them. The slayers people were at a loss to explain why nothing of the occult
was taken. The day finally came when she had to return to the Palm reader, once again Nova wanted her friend Bayleigh to go with her, the two of them entered the shop. The Palm reader stated,
“I am a bit surprised,”
she hadn't expected Nova to return, having to usher her remaining customers from the shop Samantha suggested that they sit back from the table.
“I do not want you to throw the table at me,” said Samantha.
Nova was surprised by her,
“Why, would you say that about me?” asked Nova.
“I was trying to be funny, although did do a bit of work based on what happened at your last sitting, I learnt some amazing revelations about your history, for one your mother was not who you think. She was a chosen vampire who had been invited to enter the next realm. You were born in that realm then sent to be here, the memories you have were forced into you,” said Samantha.
Bayleigh faced Nova,
“Your Watcher is going to have great fun coming to terms with being a Watcher to a vampire who is the Vampire Slayer.”
Nova looked disdainfully to her friend Bayleigh,
“Mind you, your notion does have a bit of merit, I wonder if you could be my partner what with you having an interest in the occult. We could battle the supernatural entities who wish harm on humans,” said Nova.
Samantha stared at her,
“You are a what!” she exclaimed.
Nova faced Bayleigh and grimaced,
“I forgot where we were,” said Nova.
“So did I,” announced Bayleigh.
Both of them looked to Samantha. Nova sheepishly grinned to Samantha stating
“Care to join us? Together we can fight the undead?” asked Samantha.
Nova faced Bayleigh,
“Not straight away, for now it'd be good if we had someone to speak to about what we need to do. I don't know this but I might be able to send people to you,” said Nova.
“I'd like someone to talk to about what we might face,” said Samantha.
Bayleigh looked at all the books on the shelves around her,
“We might be able to send a few new customers your way,” said Bayleigh.
She began to smile.
“Who or what does this Watcher belong to?” asked Samantha.
“The Watcher is of a group of humans who we the vampire hunters allow them to watch over us, they then took it upon themselves to be in charge of us, it might be a problem to get rid of them now although it might be for the best,” said Bayleigh.
“They say they help the vampire slayer to come to terms with fighting vampires,” said Nova.
“A Watcher whose charge is a vampire and who tries to teaches said vampire to kill vampires does seem to be a bit problematic,” said Samantha.
“You don't have to tell the Watcher anything,” said Bayleigh.
She noticed that Nova was deep in thought about ignoring the Watcher.”
Nova faced Samantha.
“If you are up for it then I think it will be worth making the change,” said Nova.
“I like the idea, I've been contemplating finding a new direction that I could push my abilities in,” said Samantha.
“Seeking the history of vampires and the history of chosen vampires slayers, there could be something I might be able to find interest in,” said Bayleigh.
Both Samantha and Bayleigh looked at the books on her shelf.
“I will need to find new books to collect,” said Samantha.
Bayleigh smiled to her.
“Based on what I have learnt in the last few days you might need to write some of those books. Let's face it, how many books are there about dead supernatural monsters who normally turn to dust, then when the chosen vampire slayers go to the land of dead and one of the vampires gives birth to her offspring when she is there. Finding the history of that child is well,” said Nova.
She looked into Samantha's eyes.
“Problems, problems, problems,” stated Bayleigh.
“Failing that I see a world of interest in searching for that history of said Vampire,” said Samantha.
“What you both seem to be forgetting is that the vampire would have to help you,” stated Nova.
They both faced Nova.
“While three heads might be better than two I'd prefer to think along the lines that you Samantha and I would be best at the accumulated research,” said Bayleigh.
“I get it, you think I'll do the best at fighting our enemies, admittedly you might be right to think that as I am able to attack with greater ferocity than you and I dare say that you will be able to help me to bring powers of healing to the fore. More importantly do you think I will be best at making the drinks for us?” asked Nova.
“So which was that one or two spoons of salt you wanted?” asked Nova grinning.

Nova's Long Journey Home revised Part 3

They were sat about the kitchen table, each of them quietly reading a book, Samantha looked up and faced each of them when Nova began to speak.
“Just a thought Samantha but could you make contact with a certain person who was killed by a vampire?” asked Nova.
Samantha thought about what Nova asked.
“I dare say I could do,” replied Samantha as she created a picture in her crystal ball staring intently at the vision she had brought to being in the crystal ball, Brayleigh questioned her.
“What are you doing?” asked Bayleigh.
“Just staring at the scene in the ball, directing my thoughts at what Nova just asked me,” said Samantha.
Bayleigh grinned to Samantha as she began to smile.
“Does that mean you have a successful contact?” asked Nova.
“I saw a couple of teenagers in a part of the forests necking when a vampire interrupted them, it offered to teach them a better way of sucking neck, the vampire wanted them to keep sucking neck even though the teenagers were not happy to see the vampire.”
“Well at least I have a start though where are they now is anyone's guess and do they know who the vampire was?” asked Nova.
She flicked at the ends of her hair to keep them away from her face, it was annoying when they did plus the ends caused an itching on her nose and near her eyes. I see that the couple who lived and worked at a bar in the town knew the vampire, he was a customer at the bar though they never knew he was a vampire.
Samantha looked into the crystal ball.
“I'm trying to see the vampires name,” said Samantha.
She waited patiently for her to be able to see the vampires name was Sam.
“Are, here we go, the couple who were attacked were Brian Redcliffe and Amanda Brock, which is interesting as the person who just told me is Marian the vampires sister, and she was killed by another vampire while she waited for her brother.”
The couples names are Marian and Graham.
“The girl who spoke to me is upset she had to wait for her brother and blames Brian and Amanda for keeping her out by herself like that, right or wrong she wants revenge,” said Samantha.
Nova looked in the phone book to see if she could find either of their names, before she found them Bayleigh pointed to their names.
“And now we have where they lived, are you going to go there first or will you have a look in the bar?” asked Bayleigh.
“I'm glad I put on my adult make up today, I do not want to get asked how old I am this time though I'll be driving by their house first,” said Nova.
At the house Bayleigh pointed to a flickering light on the rear veranda. Nova went around the house to the rear veranda where she saw and asked the girl who was there.
“Are you Brian's ex sister the vampire, would you prefer me to talk to you as a vampire?”
The sister looked to Nova,
“If you know me as a vampire do you, does that bother you, I bet you don't see many stalkers who are vampires do you?” Nova smiled,
That is not something I'd ever thought of before, Nova faced her.
“It would bugger up any of the police's investigations, not that they would admit it,”
“Finding the dead person at the scene where the stalker was known to be,” said Nova.
The sister looked to Nova,
“So what do you recommend that we do?” asked the sister.
“First of all I'd want to know who killed you but being as you did kill Brian and Amanda I'll need to deal with that,” said Nova.
“I did not kill either of them it was the one who killed me. Should I say sorry,”
“ All things considered that is okay I liked my brother so his death will cause me great pain eventually although I do not know who Amanda is, sorry, was.”
She shrugged her shoulders.
“That vampire who got me I'm sure I know who it was, I wish there was some way to help me remember,” said the sister.
Nova asked Bayleigh,
“Can you get Samantha, hopefully she can help the vampire remember who sired her,” said Nova.
The sister grimaced to Nova,
“How can a human get me, a vampire to remember the vampire who killed me?” asked the sister. “In case you did not realize it, this Samantha is my friend that and I am a vampire,” said Nova. The sister stepped back a few paces.
“And I thought I led a complicated life,” said the sister.
The sister then smiled to Nova. Thinking about who that vampire was, I think I remember he was the delivery guy for the bakery that delivers to where I worked in town, the sister removed a business card from her inside jacket pocket with his name on it.
“Nova rang Bayleigh, you do not need to tell Samantha to come here chances are she already knows, the sister has just remembered the vampires name though the problem might now be if he lived by himself or if he had a girlfriend or wife they might also be a vampire. Thing is if he lived by himself he will not be able to get into his own home,” said Nova who then grinned then added that she would go there first.
“Maybe I should tag along with you to meet that vampire,” said Nova.
Nova and the sister faced the vampire who had killed the sister, the vampire was about to ask them their names when the sister plunged a stake into the vampires heart.
“The sister is dead and the vampire who killed that sister is also dead so all loose ends have been catered for.”
Nova smiled to Bayleigh and Samantha.
“Well I am grateful,” said Samantha.
“I am just a bit confused,” said Bayleigh.
“I can live with that, well I could if I was still living, if you know what I mean,” said Nova.
“I wanted to know if it will be possible to speak to Nova's mother, she would have thought you'd be pleased,” said Samantha.
Nova stared at the floor.
“Maybe one day I will find a way that I can make contact with her, until then I'd like to imagine she'll be happy with what I've done, maybe one day soon when I have racked up many things to say to my mom she'll be happy,” said Nova,
she was pleased with herself. Nova had just finished making herself a hot drink, she was hoping it would wake herself up when Samantha wandered into the room.
“Good morning I'm sorry if I got here a bit early but I thought it'd be best,” said Samantha. Surprised, Nova stared at her before she realised who it was,
“Hello Samantha what is it?” asked Nova.
“I was doing some divination on the Astral Plain when an old friend introduced me to her mother, the mother gave me a pocket watch she once used.”
The mother explained that the pocket watch had the ability to take its owner back in time. She showed Nova how to set the date,
“Though the watch now stated the month and year, now you can visit any time you want just make sure that time is as important as changing time can have ghastly results,” she said. Samantha smiled to Nova.
“That was when my friends mother handed me the pocket watch, she asked that I give you the pocket watch. Nova held her hand towards Samantha to take possession of the pocket Watch, oh and one more thing Nova, only put the watch in a pocket where it will always remain in,” said Samantha.
Nova thought about which pocket that would be she tried to think about her clothes, each of them she knew that every day she was liable to change them, she even thought about her shoes but even they would be subject to change, she sat back onto the lounge chair. Nova thought about what her real mother had once said to her about the pocket of skin that was on her inner arm just below her left shoulder. Knowing those memories she smiled to herself knowing it would be the best place, she held her arm out placing the watch in a pocket of her skin.
Later that day Nova sat next to Bayleigh on the lounge.
“Bayleigh will you tell me what is wrong?” asked Nova.
“Last year I bought myself a necklace which I always wear but now its gone, the last time I can remember having it on was about to wash my face this morning,” said Bayleigh.
Nova thought about when they first met that morning as she couldn't remember seeing the necklace. So Nova went to the privacy of her room once there she held up her arm and took out the pocket watch from her pocket of skin. Altering its time to when she got up that morning and leaving the date to be as it stated Nova found herself wandering out of her bedroom she noticed Bayleigh out of the corner of her eye and followed her after she had cleaned herself in the shower. Bayleigh notice that Bayleigh wasn't wearing the necklace when she left the bathroom, stepping back so Bayleigh would not bump into her as she left the bathroom with a towel about her neck that she would normally use after having had a shower.
“I went into your room to see where you started the day, I wanted to check everything that you had done until I had found your necklace,” said Nova.
“Now I remember!” exclaimed Bayleigh.
Bayleigh was pleased to remember what had really happened,
“When I went to bed last night I took off the necklace and put it on the table. Then this morning I remember seeing it, I must have thought I had put it on,” said Bayleigh.
Bayleigh asked Nova,
“To hold her hair away from her neck as she put on the necklace on her, thank you, though there is one thing I don't understand a bit earlier I'm sure I saw you in the doorway.”
“Really Bayleigh,” admonished Nova.
“Do you really think that I could possibly be in two places at once?” asked Nova secretly grinning.

“Do you really think that I could possibly be in two places at once?” asked Nova secretly grinning.
“What else do you think the other me did?” asked Nova.

Intent on discovering what it was it that you thought I did.
“Honestly, I do hope it wasn't a dream, I saw her then as I see you now that is why I think it was real,” said Nova.
“What was it though, what was it she was doing at the time?” asked Bayleigh.
“There in lies the problem, when I bought it I wasn't aware I was doing anything I would need to remember nor did it have me think I would need to know or find out who the prevous owner nor who she was the reincarntion of,” said Nova.
“Hmm,” the sound was thrust from Samantha's lips.
“Did you think being a slayer was going to help your life and make the lives of your friends any easier,” said Samantha.
“I really am sorry.”
Nova handed the watch to Samantha,
“Please just tell me what you can?” asked Nova.

Samantha picked up the watch using her tongs so as not to put any of her life on the watch.
“I am beginning to see a picture though I do not understand what I am seeing, I see the outside of what appears to be a castle. I am going towards a gate. Right I am inside the gate and I am on the grass inside the castle walls, there are many people in uniform walking on the pathways about the grassed areas. The people in uniform must be soldiers, I will try to see what army they are for, oh they are not your usual army they are the elite soldiers in what I think are a Legion!” Samantha looks to Nova, “From Hell,” said Samantha.
“That seems likely, I am a slayer, thing is this Legion, is why you are seeing this Legion for me, is it for one of the Legion or is it because of where we are?” asked Nova.
Samantha faced the water in the cauldron on top of the brass tripod.
“I seem to be following one of the Legion, though the demon is going into the castle, I see a writing desk in a room of the castle,” said Samantha. Samantha looked to Nova, “Do demons need to write? I had never even considered that, and what would they need to write about? I see a sheet of paper in front of me,”

Samantha is astounded, “I see plans for an attack by a legion of the damned, now the sheet of paper is being taken from the desk by, oh good grief,” Samantha faces Nova, “The person who took the sheet of paper was an ancestor of yours, she was a slayer from many hundreds of years ago,” said Samantha.
“Is that what I need to do, to find who it was and find where the sheet of the demons writing has gone?” asked Nova.
“The image has gone so it would appear so,” said Samantha, “though I have no idea how I am going to find who the slayer was.”
Samantha began to search on the lowest level of the Astral Plain without success there was no indication that something would be found, she found herself rising up to the highest levels of the Astral Plain.” Samantha looked to Nova, “I admit it, I am scared of what I might find here.”
“Please Samantha keep searching, I am sure something is here I need to find,” said Nova.
“Wait, there is something else up here with me, not someone I'd . . Oh no there is a demon up here the demon is making contact with me, I cannot get away from it, I . . . it is an upper level demon in one of the Devils Legions, what the! The Demon is speaking to me.”

“This is a first,” said the Demon.
“What do you want from me?” asked Samantha.
The Demon smiled to Samantha.
“I know that you began this search at the request of Nova,” Samantha allowed what she was hearing to be heard by Nova, “The search led you to what I wrote and now you are trying to find that slayer, you can help me regardless on if you want to, the slayer you are seeking was Marriona Felcher. I have been searching for her these last seven centuries without success. It might be that she was killed though I know not who by or how. Thing is nothing has begun to stop what I had planned so I am at a loss to find out who killed your slayer and who it was who may have been the Devils traitor, your people may laugh at me and my loss but I give you my word, any help you give me will be repaid, the Devil might have the thought that I am his traitor so anything that helps me I assure you I will respond many times over, let me know,” said the Demon.
“I did hear all of that, if we can believe that Demon,” said Nova.

“Considering he is an upper level Demon I think it will be a good idea if we do trust him, if for nothing else than he gave us the name of the slayer so we could reciprocate that if nothing else. Plus consider that you are probably nothing that might give him discomfort, so he might feel the same about you,” said Samantha.
Nova allowed herself to have her mind wander through the open ventricles to ask the Powers That Be was was known about the slayer Marriona Felcher. Three days later while at a gathering in the room atop Samantha's shop the door and windows were shut tight, a voice spoke to all of them. “Our Slayer that you want to know about was killed in an accident in the year, “All the papers she had on her were buried with her and they were never disclosed to anyone.”
Nova smiled to Samantha, “Tell that to the Demon, I know what I wanted about that slayer, and tell that Demon about the papers buried with her, I seem no harm for either of us,” said Nova.
When Samantha relayed the information to the Demon he offered his thanks,

“It wasn't just a case of I owe you one it will be that I will offer you my help when ever I am allowed to, bearing in mind that he who will give me permission will be the Devil,” said the Demon.

Nova's Long Journey Home Revised 4

Nova had remained to be sat at the table even though she had finished eating her evenings meal. She begun to consider about what she had learnt about during the previous day when Samantha walked into the room with Bayleigh right behind her.
“Guess who I found at the door earlier today,” she said indicating to who was behind her, “I learnt about a previous life of yours and about an old friend here,” said Samantha.
Samantha then turned to face Bayleigh,
"Sorry Bayleigh then she turned to face Nova again.”
Wondering what was going on Bayleigh glanced about,

Nova shrugged as Samantha sat down at the table, she looked to the kettle. . . .
“Can I have a black coffee with two heaped tea spoons of sugar?” asked Samantha.
Bayleigh shot a grin to Nova then went to make Samantha her coffee. Putting the drink on a place mat for her she asked Samantha,
“What it was you found out this morning?”
“I used a replica of the brass tripod that Nostradamus is said to have used, I learnt a few things that I ought to tell you.”
Both Bayleigh and Nova sat upright, they both were intent on hearing what Samantha had to say. Samantha grinned,
“I'll tell you what might affect Bayleigh first, a couple of generations ago a woman had given birth to two daughters, one of those daughters had a

daughter who gave birth to Bayleigh. The other daughter gave birth to a woman who produced a daughter by the name of Willow. Samantha faced Nova, neither daughter knew the name of the others child.
“Nova started to nod, both those names are types of tree, the tree known as Willow and tree known as the Baytree,” Unimpresssed, Nova asked, “what does that relate to?”
Samantha looked to each of them, “Willow was a powerful witch though not in the same way Bayleigh is, Willow could use magics at will while Bayleigh is a conduit for some of the most powerful witches of Britain's creation, there are two from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England,” said Samantha.
After breaking into a smile Samantha continued to speak.

“The two girls from Scotland could control every manner of water that it appeared as. The Welsh girls could use their ability to see through the earth or rocks at will. The Irish girls were known for their ability to levitate all manner of objects, people or animals while the English girls had a vast understanding and control of fire.”
Bayleigh faced Samantha.
“How will that assist Nova?” Samantha grinned.
“They are the children of people who are on their way here, when they get here I was told that Nova will accept them as her friends together they will be able to help others, they will meet in one the caverns near here, though it has been said that the English girls are the most interesting,” said Samantha.

It was later quite a lot later, in fact it was the following day that the English girls arrived.
“About their ability with fire, what is it?” asked Nova.
“Ahh yes, they say what the wonder of fire is, it can make most objects turn to a burnt kind of black after they have been left on a fire, yet the fire can bring a light that is often welcomed. For example a candle is subject to its intrinsic property.
After a short while Samantha, Nova and Bayleigh went to sit on the top step outside the rear door to consider who

was coming. They gazed at the bed of Daffodils though they soon became aware of another woman staring at them, Nova looked at the woman and was about to ask her what her name was but the woman was interrupted by Samantha.
“This woman is the woman who I saw in the crystal ball, how she is here defies me. I did not recognised the land she was on so where was it?” asked Samantha.
Nova faced the woman almost recognizing her, “Why are you here?” she asked.
“When I was a child my sister came to me and said she had met an elderly woman who had given her a necklace, she told her that when the day presented itself I should give the necklace back to you Nova. So thank you, but please tell me what are your and your sisters names?” replied Bayleigh.

“The woman I saw said that her name was Halliber and the name of her sister was Alfreda, though she had always preferred to be known as Alfred,” said Samantha.
Nova glanced at the large Emerald that took pride of place at the heart of the main setting of her necklace, wiping the stone with her thumb Nova felt the ground by her feet move. She realised that the ground was whispering to her,
“It is about time for you to realise who you are about to become.”
Bayleigh felt that she was stood beside a river even though she was still sat on a concrete step by the rear door, though when she looked at the ground
below her feet she saw a river. Under the surface she was able to look into the river, she gently lobbed a stone into the water, it caused a splash which

gained the attention of Nova and Samantha,
“Did I just do that?” asked Bayleigh.
“I see that the good times will be ahead when the others get here,” said Nova.
Bayleigh had begun to doubt her ability or even the need for her to be there as she had failed to noticed to notice any feeling of any person who might be of benefit to Nova save Samantha, that was until Samantha mentioned that three people started at the college on the same day, plus they were of the same family. Considering that may have been a reason to for go their importance Bayleigh began to feel that both of the sisters were supposed to
be there. Inviting both of the sisters to a picnic where they could meet her, Nova and Samantha. When the sisters Sharon and Sandra did arrive at the

picnic, Bayleigh asked them if or how well they knew about the abilities both of them were said to possess. They smiled to Bayleigh,
“We are prepared,” they held both their hands infront of them at just below waist height pointing their fingers towards the ground, they both threw a flame from their hands that lit the dead grass before them, then they extinguished the flames.
Bayleigh tried to explain to each of them, “I did not want to offend either of you.” then she tried to explain that she hadn't been sure how to broach the subject.
She helped herself to one of the cut sandwiches on the plate in the middle of the table.
Nova spoke up, “I want to create a group that would help those in need.”

Samantha stated, “There is a spare room on the top floor over her shop, it could be available to our group as a suitable room for working out what we could do. It will be suitable should we have other members of the group.
“I am guessing there might eventually be eleven of us,” said Samantha.
Nova hadn't thought of that many of them of them she hadn't thought about their future, only who and how many there was.”
Bayleigh thought about what had been said, “I agree, it would be better to meet in Samantha's place rather than in the park. Should that be the reason for our get togethers.”
Samantha smiled to those she knew as friends,

“About the ancestors of Nova having experienced ending vampires and all ilk of Hell Spawn we will continue to do the same though now the end has begun to make itself known.”

Nova's Long Journey Home Revised 5
or for those of you who have a memory that is useable . . . Part 18

“The sooner we get to know each other the better it will be,” said Nova.
As they both wandered about the room in a different direction they bumped into each other repeatedly and in doing so they started to get to know the other person. Though that was not what they thought, on the fourth time that they bumped into each other Nova asked Buffy
“Are you my mother?” asked Nova.
Understanding the question but not comprehending what the outcome might be she replied.
“I do see you as a friend though I did not give birth to you yet I feel as though you are right, can you explain to me how you might be right?” asked Buffy.

In asking that they began to understand more about themselves, how each would react to each other. Feeling it was the suitable time to increase their investigation of each other and into the supernatural beings that crossed their paths they each recognised the creatures in the others memory. The demonic beings that had crossed their paths then they realised that continued confrontation of the other would help each of them to understand the other. Going into another room Nova stood still as she noticed an oil painting, a portrait.
“Here Buffy look at this painting,” said Nova.
Buffy stared at it.

“I know that look, I take it you know her?” asked Nova.
“I cannot imagine why anyone would want a picture of her,” said Buffy.
“Lets face it, there are men who like to look at beautiful women, I wonder how long she kept her looks?” asked Nova.
“I have no idea how old she was when the picture was done though I am guessing it wasn't in her later years after all she must have been around for at least 300 years,” said Buffy.
Nova slowly turned her head until she looked straight at Buffy, Do you mean she is a . . .

“Hmm, yes she was a vampire, her name was Darla, I only met her once, I think,” said Buffy. She and Nova wandered into another room not knowing that Buffy's acknowledgement of her had brought Darla back to her time as a vampire, not knowing what to do she followed her path that had been installed in her. Through shaded leafy glen she wandered until at last Darla confronted several crypts on the base of a slope. Darla was drawn to a grave where the headstone had no writing on it, the headstone even Darla could see had been hastily put in the ground. For some reason Darla couldn't take her eyes from it. Darla touched the headstone though the only image she got was of the stonemason who had put the headstone in the ground. She decided to find out when the headstone had been put in the ground.

Seeking knowledge Darla found when the person was buried, she thought why that time was important to her. She cried out! It is where my daughter Germima was buried. With a hint of a struggle Darla spun off the lid only to reveal a pile of ashes. Darla remembered how her daughter had died, Germima had been staked by Angel. Darla smiled as she thought of those who buried her ashes,
“No soil for her to rest on, I wonder could I give her ashes a bed of soil, will that bring my daughter back to me,” said Darla.
Darla gave her daughter ashes a bed of soil, closed her coffin the sat with her back against the headstone. For a day she sat there, then later in the day Darla heard a quiet tapping sound coming from the crypt. Exuding a sigh of relief Darla slowly spun the crypt lid off the crypt, there,

looking up at her was her darling daughter Germima, reaching down to her she pulled her daughter out of the crypt.
“Aren't you the lucky one?” asked Darla.
“When am I now?” asked Germima.
“I'm sorry I have no idea what year this is now. Can it be enough that I am happy to be with you?” asked Darla.
Germima thrust her arms about her mothers body.
“Yes, it is enough though I would like to know how I came to be a vampire again?” asked Germima.

“Funny tale that, a new slayer and the old slayer who ended me were looking at an oil painting of me,
they must have thought that the spirit of me could not be held within the painting.
Oopsie. A while after they left the painting I emerged. In those first few hours I did not know when or where I was,
then I realised what had happened a witch had placed a spell on the painting.
I guess neither of the slayers thought that the Dorian Gray thing could be repeated
once done I was drawn to your crypt and now you are here with me,” said Darla.

“So what is there now, is there more than one slayer?” asked Germima.
“No that time has gone, all the Slayers that the witch gave the Slayers power to has gone.
The gift of the Slayers power was only for their generation,” said Darla.
Darla and her daughter wandered into the light that was shadowed by a vast layer of clouds.
“Who are we going to get first?” asked Germima.
