November's Original Story

For those of you who have the DVD's and have watched the extra's, Joss explains that November was going to be introduced as a very rich woman who hires a Doll to be her lover. The twist at the end of the episode is that November is actually the Doll and it was the man's fantasy to have it played out that way. I suppose that Joss kept that sort of twist and used it in the Perrin storyline.

But would you have prefered the original storyline for November or do you prefer her introduction as Mellie?

Oh I don't know. It's difficult when you haven't seen the other version. I'm not a Paul and Mellie shipper so that doesn't help me decide. I think I'll stick with Mellie though. I wonder how he planned on using November if she wasn't spying on Paul. "Just" another doll or more special. Echo is as well all know very special, Victor and Sierra got their love. What could have been Novembers thing?

I don't know, I really like how it played out. Mellie as the girl next door turned lover turned sleeper turned messenger for the Dollhouse insider etc. Also the contrast between Madeline and Echo in "Instinct" was really good (as you could see even more from the deleted scenes).

I think I prefered it the way it was played with Mellie. I loved the sleeper twist of that line and I'm generally fond of Mellie so I'm pleased with what we've got. 🙂
