Seemed like kind of an older article. The people really didn't seem to know if the show was ending or not. Interesting stuff though. I'm betting there will be a spinoff. Basically SMG and Alison Hannigan are wanting to go on to big time movie careers, but it doesn't seem like the rest of the cast really has that as an option. Really, as much as I like Nicolas Brendon, what kind of post-Buffy career can he look forward to? It's like Joey from Friends (though I'm not a fan of either the show or the actor), what is he going to do without that show? He's already proven that he's not going to make movies that don't bomb, and he'd never fit into a different TV show, so unless he can really do stage stuff (as I know some of the Buffy cast can do) he's pretty much done when the show's done. It sucks, but that's just kind of how America is. They typecast most of the people in a show, but for some reason are willing to see other actors take other roles. Oh well, I guess it just means I'm going to get more Xander, which makes me happy.
