I love this episode!!! It is one of my favourite episodes of any program I have watched it over and over again and it does not get boring. It's packed full of so much drama, but also so much humour, I love this quote:

Early: You folks are all insane.
Simon: Well my sisters a ship, we had a complicated childhood.

so funny, I was crapping myself laughing!

My fave ep!! Totally totally totally!!!! I also love the commentary. Joss can be so pretentious. And then he's all self-deprecating about it, it's cute.

But I adore the teaser, from River's POV

second fave ep for me...but i love it! i love the fact that Jayne sleeps through the whole thing!!

For some reason, I actually thought that River had merged with the ship...
Than I came to my senses and figured out that she was hiding somewhere.

The teaser at the star of the episode was that an explanation of how River's power works? People tell her what they are thinking yeah?

Sorry about the double post, you can ignore the question above, I know the answer (It's yes), but I just watched (Listened?) to the commentary for this episode, and WOW! I think I love this episode even more, the way he described it he made it sound incredible. You would love to walk through his brain for a day, although that probably would not be long enough!

Yeah, a day would NOT be long enough.....I could probably spend a year in there!
I actually just finished watching this episode yesterday, and I can honestly say that this is favorite episode. EVAR.

I love things from River's POV - she didn't even think she was handling a gun. And Kaylee being afraid of her...I was so despressed about that. I mean, they were BUDDIES!

I remember Early. My favorite moment:

Early: RIVER! ...River? [beat] Serenity?

THAT. WAS. AWESOME.

And yes, I actually thought she merged with the ship. And Simon:

Simon: I can't keep track of her even when she ISN'T incorporeally possessing a spaceship.

River just...owns me.

Loved the episode also! (Wasn't my favourite though, but still a work of art)

Also I'd like to take a moment to applaud Jewel Staite for being exceptionally amazing in this episode(and all other episodes...and serenity)

She. Is. Awesome.

I just finished off Firefly, for the second time. I gotta say, this is my fave episode. The western element is basically a complete non-issue, which is fine with me. For whatever reason, I don't care for this particular genre mix.

The River character finally realizes her potential. And she's basically lucid and functional for the whole ep!

Somehow, Joss has a way of twisting genres themes, cliche'd ideas, character types...just constantly making things weird and unpredictable and endearing. To be honest, the end of this episode is just when I was getting excited about the show...
