Hello, all!
Yes, it's true, I'm new here. 🙂 I'm also (relatively) new to Buffy and Angel.
Little background on me (and my newfound obsession...):
I'm a comic book fan. Have been since I was a lil' guy (about 25 years ago...so sad...), and probably will be 'til the day I die. I'm a big fan of the X-Men, been collecting their adventures for nigh under 15 years now. Last year, Joss Whedon started writing Astonishing X-Men. I knew Joss was the creator of Buffy and Angel, but I had paid little attention to the shows, didn't think they were my thing. After reading Astonishing X-Men for about four months, I knew I had to have more Joss Whedon in my diet, so...when I was quitting my job at Best Buy, I used my discount to buy Buffy Season 1.
It sat on my shelf for about a month.
When my new company sent me off to Phoenix for training, I knew I would need something to occupy my time while I was there, so far from my life and my wife (which are the same things, really...), so I took Buffy with me, and fell in love with the show, watching it on my laptop each night.
I've been watching ever since. I'm such a geek for Buffy, I've kept away from anything that would spoil any developments beyond where I am in the show's timeline. I hooked my wife on Buffy about halfway through Season 1, and we watch every day. We're now just getting ready to start Buffy Season 5 and Angel Season 2 (we watch them one each, trading off between Buffy and Angel eps), so I'll most likely be seen in the forums dedicated to Buffy's S1-4 and Angel S1.
I'm glad to be here, and hope that I can come to call these boards home to my Whedon-verse geekiness.
