Ok...now, we have all seen them...those strange people that collect all kinds of wierd crap. Like those people that hold world records for the biggest rubberband balls, or yarn balls...or the wierd guy down the street that collects his toenail clipings...maybe the girl at school that has the whole inside of her locker covered with old chewing gum...

What is the strangest thing that you or anyone you know has collected...hmmmm...my aunt has a collection of somewhere around 50 cats...and she's pretty wierd...so you tell me...how scary are the people of the world...
 
lol...my neighbor collects old food...she gave us these cookies.......which was cool...cept for the fact that the expiration date was back in 98...lol...
 
AWWWWW! That's freggin' NASTY! LMFAO! That reminds me of a friend of the family...her dad died and she gave my hubby all the left over pantry food...most of it was bad by like 4 years! *Shudders* So was she a complete nut or what?! 😛
 
nah...just innocently old....she's like 80 something and still going strong...so she's doing something right...
 
My friend used to collect animals. He had 4 dogs, 6 cats, 3 birds, 10 fish, 2 hamsters, 1 guini pig, and 2 frogs.

That's not really weird I guess...
 
I used to collect dead batteries. I had heavy hundreds of the things. Eventually, I gave them up when I moved out of my mom's house (too heavy to take with me). I'm not sure, but I'm betting she still has them.

Also, my mother collects recipes from newspapers and magazines and such. That would be fine, except that 20-30 years of clipping recipes results in alot of clippings. She's got a small room full of boxes of recipes, and I think it's probably a major fire hazard.
 
my roomate is a zoologist from austrailia, he has a thing for reptiles! I hate snakes and we have two, I hate fish, and we have 150gallon cichlid tank, 90 gallon salt water tank, 60 gallon tank for the baby fish, and three more thirty gallon tanks! it's crazy. He also has to BIG ass tarantula's! I hate snakes and spiders more than almost anything. so he has to keep them in the guest room that I never go in, but when my simplistic friends come over they stare at the fish tanks for hours.

My Gran does this as well! She doesn't mean to though.... she thinks she doing us a good turn! Once she gave us all Hotdogs and we ate them out of courtacy! The whole family had food poisoning.
 
I have a smallish old computer and video game collection...does that count?

I've got a Commodore 64 (which I got for Christmas when I was 10), an Apple IIe, an old monochrome Macintosh, an 8086 PC (with two 5 1/4" floppy drives and no hard drive), an Atari 2600, and an NES.
 
My friend collects things she finds on the street, she has too much time on her hands. She collected a lot of old cigarette wrappers and took the warnings off them to try and put he boyfriend off smoking. Her prides and joys though are definately the collection of number plates and hubcaps she can find, i dunno if i spelt that right but the things on the wheels, can you tell I'm a car expert?
 
I have drawers full of broken pens, empty batteries, papperclips, ink, those little surprise figures from Disney movies etc from kid's candy, and well, anything about that size.

Also I tear long threads of cloth from my bath robe with my teeth, and I throw them 'twixt my desk and the wall, where nobody can get them.
 
Yes...yes there are many sick people here...and i love you all...lol...EJ and I collect knives and such...we have a whole bunch...I'd count for ya but a lot of them are packed up still...kids and all...

EJ has a collection of hood ornaments that he ripped off of cars...he's such a sweetheart...lol...

I collect gargoyles

I used to collect A&W rootbeer cans...I had them everywhere...then they just got moldy and messy...
