I have a question and I'm not going to go into details but this is happening to someone I know. Would you date someone who was perfectly compatible with you in every other way and who you knew well and kind of loved but likes to be on the receiving end of really rough sex which is not your thing? I'm interested in you opinions.

I'd try to make an agreement. Tell him/her that you're uncomfortable and if they don't except that then either leave them or don't have sex with them until they agree. Plus, increment a safety word system. That way if you get into something too rough, they'll know to stop. Obviously, I've been watching too much Dr. Sue. Anyway, that's my two cents. 🙂

Totally with ya on the "saftey word system" good advice there.

Well, I wish this were MY problem...but then I don't have an issue with the rough stuff...but I think that if two people feel so connected on every level they should really give it the chance it deserves...never know what you might be into if you give it a try.

Though as a side note...just from personal expierience...usually when a person is into certain things...well, I've found it's often been influenced by other things in their lives/ personalities...my only point being that if they get to know each other better they may find that they aren't as much on the same level as they think.

ahh yes...rayne....has entered the forum...let us revel in the after glow...

just do what feels comfortable for you....try it out...if it feels hella weird...stop...and do whatever is the norm...

Even if the people are perfectly compatible in every way aside from sexually can certainly cause problems down the road. Incompatability in the bedroom can lead to incompatability elsewhere.

I agree with you on this one. There have to be roots to a persons "interests" and they have to be seeded in that person's personality.

If I was in this situation personally I would avoid the relationship. But that's just personal opinion.
