Hello everyone!

Hear is your place to discuss your ideas concerning possible spinoffs for both Buffy and Angel! 😀

Be sure to keep your posts spoiler free until our UK viewers have seen the Angel finale-or use spoiler tags to hide them so no one gets spoiled!

I heard a rumour of a Giles and Andrew spin-off once. I think it was going to be called The Watcher.

It got me to thinking how interesting it would be to match characters. My personal favourite: Faith and Dana, with Faith as Dana's reluctant tutor, showing her the ways of redemption as passed on down to her from Angel.

I'd pay a kidney to see that.
Dana was PRETTY crazy-I think getting further into her story would be really interesting. She sees through the eyes of other slayers-anything with her in it would be a good start!
 
Well, I always considered S7 of Buffy to be a pilot of sorts for a spinoff, don't ask me why, but it just seemed like that's what they were going for with all the new characters. But if I had my choice, I would go for an Andrew/ Dana spinoff with ASH in a recurring role. Dana would sure put a different spin on the slayer mythos and Andrew would be hilarious as her watcher trying to keep her contained.

And may I just say that an Illyaria/Spike spinoff would be awesome as well.
 
Spoilers for any UK viewers (or anyone who hasn't seen the final episode really)...

Now that they've killed Wes I kinda like the idea of a Buffverse 'Afterlife' series. A show set in purgatory with Wes and other "lost souls" trying find their place, be it a heaven a hell dimension or elsewhere.

There's an abundance of already dead characters in the Buffyverse that could be used to populate the cast or to make guest appearances. Also it would certainly be something new and different and a concept that Whedon could probably do quite a bit with.

Heck, maybe in such a show we might even find out what happens to someone's soul when they become a vampire (it'd be nice to have an answer more specific than "it goes into the ether" which amounts to slightly less than squat really)

That's an interesting idea. Kind of like the "Ghost Roads" from the Buffy books...and there's the title straight away😉

I agree, LOVE that idea! They could even have them interact with those still living once in a while.....
I think maybe a Willow/Giles spinoff would be great...Willow could move with Giles to England, and learn alot about magic from him and other witches and warlocks he knows...Or something like that...and Spike and Xander, and maybe Dawn would have to be in it!
 
I would love Andrew to have a show. Think of the funny!
But Willow and Faith. I know they don't like each other. But if there was a show they could learn to like each oter. Maybe they could be searching for more Slayers. i think it would be gripping.
Why don't we get a couple of Buffy cast and do a 24 style show.
 
What about Dawn? There would be a need to train a lot of new watchers very quickly, and Dawn is well on her way--she's even called "watcher junior" in a few of the episodes. It would be fun to see her blossom out and become a valuable team member in her own right, not just the Slayer's sister. Also, do we really know what happened to all that Key energy after "The Gift". It would be really cool to watch her discover any power that's left and learn to harness it...

(Commas divide diffrent titles for the series)

1.William The Bloody, Spike The Series
2.The Fanged Four(As in Darla, Angelus, Drusilla, and Spike)
3.Faith The Series, Faith The Vampire Slayer

i think a spike spin-off would be pretty interesting......

"The Fanged Four" would probably be pretty good too, but i would want a spike spin-off.
 
i will definitly watch a faith or a faith/spike spin off. I would love for that to happen.
 
I just want to see Ripper finally made, after all the hints from Joss and Tony...tho' it seems likely that, if Serenity does well, there will be more Firefly movies.

Although I would love for Joss to make a lot of money and get respect from a movie, since hes so talented, but a sci-fi movie without an already large fanbase usually doesn't fair too well at the movies.

Maybe if the reviews are good (which I'm sure of) it might gross about a good amount of money. I think a Buffy movie would preform better though.

As for a spinoff series in my mind -

A slayer in the 80's or 90s (maybe India?) we could see the calling and training of the newly activated slayer.

-The Ripper spinoff(That'd be nifty)

And that Fanged Four idea sounded really cool. A show devoted to Angelus, Darla, Drusilla and Spike. That'd be awsome :evilgrin2
 
I'd like to see a Giles series, with a subplot of him putting the Council of Watchers back together
 
I forget where I was reading this (I think maybe it was on the official Buffy/Angel spinoff thread in Inside Out), but someone had this idea of Serenity floating through space, and noticing space debris off the port bow kind of thing. They go to investigate and find a beautiful, blue haired woman, in a tight leatherish jumpsuit.

Yeah - Illyria meets Firefly. Gotta get me some a that.
