I would too.but james marsters said that if he did have one, it wouldnt work out.vampires aren't suppose to age.he's already aging, since he's almost 50!Viewers would unappreciate the show.a man sired in his twenties, and in the show, he's all wrinkly.lol.I like the fanged four spin-off, because i like watching their past lives, aka flashbacks to the past.
 
A Faith or Spike series would kick ass! I'd tune in...an Anya one would of been nice if she was alive too.

What about Willow & Xander spin off....especially Willow she's always been an interesting character. Maybe she goes back to the coven after Chosen and finds slayers & stuff...Then there would actually be a show revolving around Witchcraft on TV that would be worth watching 🙂

Hes 42, and thats today so its not really nearly 50. Hes clearly aged from S2 but nobody cares as we all like Spike.

Besides, they could always say Shanshuing isn't a one moment thing and a gradual transition, hence the adging. Yes its a way of writing yourself out of a ditch but it could work.

I'm still game for a Willow spin-off. I'd like a nice postmodern kind of affair like Buffy, but a Will and Grace like program would be enough for me. Willow being the gay one though, and Oz being the ex-boyfriend. Comedy with warewolfs, its going to be big!

I doubt a Faith one will happen until Tru Calling gets canceled because I don't think Eliza will juggle two. I would like to see either Conner, Andrew or Willow. I would have loved to see a Wesley one, but can't anymore damit.
 
Ripper is my favourite idea at the moment. With alot of flashbacks from Giles Ripper days. And Dawn could move to England with him, and work as a junior-watcher! lol! Or she could be going to school in England. And we could have some new slayers being there with them in training. Willow could be there, and Xander. Maybe Spike and Faith. Oz...Atleast alot of guest appearances by old favourites.
But a Ripper thing with Giles and Dawn as the main characters I'd love to watch.
My 2nd favourite is a Willow spinoff. A real wicca thing, kinda like Charmed, only alot better!
I also liked the idea of being where all the dead people are...Would be very interesting!

I have thought a lot about this (maybe too much) but i came up with the best choice for a spin off is Illyria.
At firsdt i wanted Faith to be a spinoff, i mean i love the girl she is my all time fav. But we have had a slayer show already. I heard rumours of a spike spinoff, interesting, it was a popular idea, but we have had a souled vampire show already. So ok then willow, she would be cool. But then by the end os s7 she has no where to go, i mean she has become a godess (sort of) where has she got to go from there. she's been the uber bad, been the uber good, been the geeky girl, been hetro, been gay, been cool. No where to go really.
I thought of a dawn spinoff, i know many hated her but i though that there was plenty to tell about her life, her character weasn't so bad by the end of s7. But then that would be like a xander show, a njormal person doing normal, or not so normal things, it kinda lacks a catch.
wes is dead, ripper has a...movie? to be made plus he will always be with or near or so closly involved with buffy she'd have to keep coming and saving him.

I like kennedy but with any luck she is with willow so...no.
But Illyria, new character, learning the ropes (kind of anyaesque really). She is powerful but not all powerful, i think it would be great.
My secon choice for a spinoff would be gwen, i loved her. she was great. and my third choice Nina. let the werewolves have a show. I know all these c's come from Angel but I think the ones on buffy had plenty of time to play thier stories out. perhaps bring one or some of them into the spinoff but not as the lead.
Whatever will/will not/ may happen I will die is Andrew is in it. Can't stand him, never going to like him, i won't say he should have died but i never want to see him again.
 
I'm a little sick of Spike... I really don't think there's any more that can be done with him as a spotlight character. I think an Illyria spin off could get a little one note.

I've got my fingers crossed for the long awaited Touching Evil style Ripper, and if a Faith got a spin off, I could die happy. Compared to the others, her character development has been stunted by about 8 months and 2 years, so I really think there's a lot you could do, storywise. If it's gonna happen, it has to happen soon though, and the only possible way I could see that happening is a movie, which is unlikely. So for now I'd settle for an Origin comic...
 
Any of these characters would make a good spinoff (any deaths would have to be reverted, but that happens in like every 3 seasons of buffy, so it wouldn't be impossible =P ):

Spike, Willow, Buffybot (wouldn't that be cute), Giles, Anya (ex demon on a crusade agains bunnies), Wesley, Faith, Riley (jay! a captain america demon hunting commando show), Dawn (the girl who whines the demons to peices).
 
I'd really like a Faith or Ripper spin-off.. But non of the others I think. Not Dawn at least. I would love it if Willow were in it, but I don't know I really want her to be..

3)A.D.A.M and Eve Description- Newlyweds mechanical demon man A.D.A.M and former Wolfram and Hart lawyer Eve move into a suburban neighborhood and get into comical situations with their neighbors. And of course their landlord, Principal Snyder, suspects A.D.A.M to be gay. FILMED IN FRONT OF A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE!
4)Hey kids, IT'S PUPPET ANGEL!!!
5)Late Night with Illyria Descripion: Watch as Illyria interviews celebs on their newest projects and then rips their arms out of their sockets. Co-host Spike and band leader Charles Gunn adds to the wackyness.
6)Mrs. Summers goes to Washington Description: After the events of Season 7 Buffy realizes that her true talent is not slaying, but actually coming up with speeches. So she decides to be the newest speech writer for George W. Bush.

Bloody Hell thats brilliant! One I wanna see (probably because I am working on writing the spin off as is...) is about Illyria. Team her up with Lorne, Gunn (who doesn't even understand how he managed to survive, would be revealed later) and add a new girl who is off beat and sent by the PTB. Have them be mercenaries while trying to teach illyria how to be human. Faith could join the cast in the 5th season. And best of all have them facing a demon mafia (who used to compete with Cyvus Vail for power), and have 3 more GodKings (illyria's siblings) threaten the balance in the meanwhile. ... ok so I think too much about these things.
 
Interesting comment by Tony Head in his recent BBC web chat answering a question about the possibility of the Ripper spin-off.

Natasha: I'm a huge Buffy fan (love Giles) and i was wondering....what ever happened to Ripper (the show...as there were rumours of you and Joss doing a series based on Giles)? Anthony Head: Erm, it's not dead... Joss still wants to do something. It may end up as a two hour film as part of a series of films about various characters. He wants to do something with Spike and maybe with Xander. He still wants to shoot it but the world needs Joss Whedon to do some movies and that's what he's doing.

Seems to back up some of the rumours about spin-off movies that are going about. Let's hope that Joss gets what he wants.

Possible Spin-offs?

I was just thinking there are so many possible spin-offs now for buffy- i cant believe there isn't one.
There's the obvious ones like a spike, faith, giles, illyria spin off. or a program about a new slayer or one about the groosalog (spelt wrong, i know.) You could even go in a completely different direction e.g. following a young witch who joined th coven in devon- the possibilities are endless, you could even have police type on with kate lockley- even thoguh technically shes no longer but im sure there's a way around that lol!!!
 
Maybe there could be like an AU spin off starring the Trio, I mean Danny, Tom, and Adam are really good friends in real life, not to mention in good with the ME crew. Plus, it's something different from both ATS and BTVS and would be friggin hilarious.
 
I'd like different theatrical/tv movies based on different characters. Or even a show that has each episode about a different character. OR a show that had each character in different parts of the world, showing whats happening in each place in each episode, while the cosmic balance tries to recuperate because the good outweighed the bad after the closing of the Sunnydale hellmouth...u know, like "Queen of the Slayers", a one season deal, two if the plot goes the right way, and we get our taste of a new series.
