Official Buffy AND Angel Spinoff Discussion Thread

No. i wouldnt. I just couldnt see a 2 hour movie wrap up doing justice to all that Btvs/Ats was.
There is just tooooooooooooooooooooo much left to tell. Personally id prefer to see a set of 4 episode mini seriese'ses'ss, featuring
people like Faith, Fanged 4, Fray(anyone beginning with f, haha)
 
I would take a movie... but the comics are sort of like a wrap up, IMO. I think a neat spin-off would be Giles and Wesley working together. I don't know how Wesley would get to Giles, but I love Tony and Alexis, and they are so funny together. They work very well off of one another.
 
Spin off's...

Spike - most definitely a goer in my book - hell, I'd even attempt to write a pilot!

Spike and Dru - raising hell in Mexico and other parts of the world from 1880 to the present would be well cool.

Willow and Giles - as previously mentioned in a previous post.

Dawn - set when Dawn reaches adulthood - she's learning what it means to be a Slayer and the sister of a Slayer.

Xander - The hardest character to think of a spin off for in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like Xander but unless he becomes a part time private detective or a slayer in his spare time, I don't see the adventures of a construction worker going anywhere any time soon.

Buffy - well... What more could you write about Buffy apart from her journey from Sunnydale to {insert the city/place of your choice} and her life there-after... love, work (as in job), part time Slaying (considering she doesn't have to do the bulk of the work anymore), etc etc... I suppose, like Xander she could become a private detective or perhaps get involved in the military some-how.
 
I wouldn't mind seeing a spin off based on the five years Fred spent in Pylea starting with how she got there and ending up with Angel & Co. rescuing her.
 
I know that this character has been kicked to the ground while he's down and his heart crushed. I would love to see Wesley spin-off series somehow, he comes back and teams up with Fred/Illyria again. Bring back Cordelia. No Gunn.

Dawn and Spike Spin-off

I think a Dawn and Spike pin-off would be good cause after Buffy died at the end of the fifth season Spike became a sorta big brother to Dawn. I just think that they kinda go together so thats my idea for a spin-off
 
I'm going to toss this out there (and hopefully not get punched in the face): I don't think a Spike television show or movie would be... interesting.

I love Spike, he's one of my favorite characters and his involvement helped bring both Buffy and Angel up a notch. But to me, he's just not main character material. Buffy was about a girl who was burdened by duty, obligation, responsibility. She had to save the world and still pencil in enough time to do her homework. The nature of high school, the capriciousness of life, ect. Angel was about redemption: how the most morally bankrupt man in history turned into a beacon of sacrifice and compassion, and how the fight never ends.

What does Spike have to offer his own show? He's not a Slayer; he's not bound by duty or obligation. My fear is that they would simply turn him into a blonde, sarcastic version of Angel. That's not good enough. The whole redemption and sacrifice thing? That's Angel's shtick, and Spike's simply nowhere near as good or as convincing as Angel is in that department.

What would be his motivation? His story? It's unfair to both Angel and to Spike to turn one of the most interesting and beloved characters into a pale imitation of the only vampire more important to the story than he is.

Spike is a great foil, a great supporting character, like Wesley or Gunn.

Just my two cents.
 
Since we dont know if they survived the end battle,another
show is pointless.Spike was not meant to go that far,he was originally a one episode character who grew and evolved.
I love the character too much to want him spoilt now,besides,how old is J.M now.Vamps dont age do they?
He wouldn't look right.

We already saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but I wouldn't mind seeing Johnny Depp as Spike.

Who do you see playing Buffy and Angel?

Erm i dunno,but the deppster is very spike like(jack sparrow is almost a nautical alter ego)they both speak very mary poppins.
How about jean claud van damme as angel(laughing).
He'd be like"Burffy,i......neeeeyd......blllloooooooooooooooood"
in that accent of his.
 
As for me it is better do not shoot new series without our favorute characters - we will begin to compare and it will not be good
 
As many have also posted, I as well yearn for a Fanged Four spin-off. I think that the journey has enough info out about it to give it that solid storyline, but still enough mystery to be able to really create an amazing story. The only problem would be that it would ruin the fun of imagination. But still, seeing that "one time" with Spangel would make it so worthwhile. 😀
 
I don't understand why Joss doesn't make a Buffy spin off, ( with w.e character)

Wouldn't he make a fortune? and so many viewers.

I suppose because it would be difficult to have it picked up by the networks. 🙂 Also, it would take a lot of effort from the actors, and our actors aren't exactly as young as they used to be...

Why not Eliza dushku and one other btvs actor/actress, then lots of new actors.

Yes, I'm sure Buffy and/or Angel is a big part of the actor's career, and in some cases, lives... but that doesn't necessarily mean they would jump right back into it.
