Ground State
YOUR TOUCH ELECTRIFIES ME "“ When Wesley (Alexis Denisof) advises Angel (David Boreanaz) to visit Dinza (guest star Rena Owen), a dark "goddess of the lost" who has valuable information on how to find Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), he learns that a certain mystical antiquity can locate souls across dimensions. Angel, Fred (Amy Acker) and Gunn (J. August Richards) break into an auction house to retrieve the object only to discover that an electrifying cat burglar (guest star Alexa Davalos) has the same intentions. Vincent Kartheiser also stars. Michael Grossman directed the episode written by Mere Smith.

I Loved Fred In This Episode!!!! She IS Gettin Better By Each Ep!!!

Gwen Is In A Later Episode Rite????

Gunn Died, Poor Fred. I Love Fred So Much. WAT She Said To Gunn Was Upsettin In A Way!!!!

Is Lilah Goin To Die????

I think that's what we're going to have to wait for and see as no spoilers are allowed in here methinks! 🙂

I loved the character of Gwen Raiden.. i felt sorry for her as a child being all bundled up like she was, not allowed any human contact, and her parents not even hugging her... they seemed relieved to be rid of her almost.

I like the way the characters seem to be developing.. both Fred and Wesley are tougher now, Wes is very dark.. i think even his voice has changed slightly and the take charge Fred is amazing to watch, i hope it's a permanent thing!.

One thing that did bug me was Angel's apology to Wesley for threatening to kill him for taking infant Connor... it was lame, didn't sound like he meant it and the only reason he did it was because he wanted information!!. Would he have apologised to him if he didn't need the info?.. don't think so.

I liked the demon Dinza, the make up people and those behind the creation of these characters i thought really did a great job, she was suitably creepy and menacing and i liked the scene with her and Angel a lot.

And Lilah and Wes... yikes!, anyone say "chemistry"?, those two sizzled!.

And Angel is still keeping a watch over his boy even though he's been thrown out of the Hyperion. I loved his scene with Lilah, telling her that he was allowing her to stay in a 50 yard radius of Connor, simply because he wanted some information, and the look on her face when he told her he could smell both her and Wesley together was priceless (in a previous season's episode, he told Wesley he knew he'd slept with a bleached blonde just by smelling him). I love the scenes between Angel and Lilah, she's so full of bravado almost, but he always unnerves her in some way.

I liked the scenes between Angel and Gwen, especially when she made his heart beat for a moment... made me wonder, have the writers actually found a way around Angel's pesky curse??.. so all that's needed is a defibrillator, right?.. don't think so somehow 😉 But i hope Gwen reappears sometime, with Charisma being pregnant and the fact of her baby being due in March (and therefore she'll be unable to complete the season) may mean that she would fit right in at A.I. Who knows??.. 🙂

Looking forward to next week 🙂

I have one thing to say about Gwen Raiden - WOW!

Actually I have another thing to say about her! Bring her back, she rocks (and shocks!)

I also thought Wesley's voice sounded different.

I love Fred and Gunn as a couple and individually and loved Fred's emotional response to Gunn's death and revival.

I liked that although Gwen is a thief she does have morals and although she was the one who killed Gunn in the first place, she was also the one who saved him.

I loved her origin and also her chemistry with Angel. Bring her back, oh right, I already said that!!

Once again Lilah was on form and Dinza was very cool. She was scary enough to pose a threat but was also enjoyable to watch.

Even after everything he has done, I couldn't help but feel sorry for Connor, after he was reduced to sleeping rough - I do think he deserved it though!!

I hope the rest of the season is as cool as this!!

Oh one more thing - Gwen made me think back to season 2 when Bethany the telekinetic girl was in the episode Untouched. She is another character that should be brought back!!

Im sorry, i know some of you like Fred, and i did at first. But when she shouted at Gunn for dying, i could have slapped her, or at least the Tv, which might have hurt my hand. Anyway, HOW DARE SHE! Oh god! I was really annoyed with her, as you can probably tell. What did you think of the outburst?

It was very emotional.. the love of her life died, even for a brief few seconds.. that's enough to scare anyone.. and after spending five years essentially alone in Pylea, she was afraid of being left alone again. Very poignant and very natural i thought 🙂

Fred's outburst did appear to be essentially very selfish and in a way maybe it was a little as it was Gunn who suffered.

Yet we all know that Fred is not a selfish person. As well as Pylea recent events in LA have probably left Fred wary of those around her as Connor betrayed them, Lorne, Cordy and Angel all left. Gunn was the only constant left and even the thought that he could have gone too hit Fred with the force of a sledgehammer wielded by Buffy herself!!

Also we have seen a stronger Fred emerge between the end of season 3 and beginning of season 4 and what happened with Gunn showed that she is not as in control of events and situations as she would have hoped.

Angel Investigations motto is "We help the helpless", yet when Gunn was gone, Fred was utterly helpless and no one from AI could do anything.

Poor Gunn and Fred!!

Oh, where to start? Gwen - really liked her balshy bravado, not as tough as she makes out, if you ask me. Certainly putting on a front as she has obviously been devoid of human contact as a child when it was needed so badly - I thought that was really very sad, and touching.

I can completely understand where Fred was coming from in her outburst towards Gunn. He was totally blase about the whole thing, and didn't seem concerned that he had died, if only for an instant. I think that was probably why Fred's outbust seemed even more out of place. But as others have said, she *could* have lost the one person that was constant in her life, when so many others around her had left or betrayed her, so in my view like Keenangel commented, I think it was a completely natural thing to do.

I'm still not sure who's playing who between Wesley and Lilah, I just can't accept that there are any feelings involved and that either of them is genuinely interested in each other - but they sure seem to be having fun with it! 'lol' I actually find it a tad icky as I thought Wes would have had more taste, but then again that's probably to emphasise just how much he's changed due to past events. He certainly is alot more dark, and could almost give Angel a run for his money as far as brooding is concerned.😉

Poor old Cordy - she certainly is fed up, isn't she? Just how long is it going to take Angel to realise that she's not as happy as he seems to think she is?
