Slouching Towards Bethlehem

THE RETURN OF CORDELIA CHASE "“ Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) returns, but since she has no memory of who she is or that Angel (David Boreanaz) is a vampire, everyone tries to keep their demon-hunting business a secret. After rescuing Cordelia from a demon, Connor (Vincent Kartheiser) takes on the role of her protector and Lorne (Andy Hallett) reads Cordelia's future to help restore her memory but sees an approaching apocalypse involving Angel. Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards and Amy Acker also star. Jeffrey Bell wrote the episode directed by Skip Schoolnik.

I enjoyed tonites episode.

It was funny when Cordy screamed when Angel showed vampire face and funny when she saw Lorne too and screamed!

With Cordy lookin bak on Sunnydale was nice!

OMG! I don't know how i let this happen but i just missed Angel tonight. I hate myself so much! The ep sounds really good too! I don't supose anyone would know if it's repeated or not?

I'm pretty sure it's repeated on Saturday night 🙂

This was a big improvement on last week's episode.. i think the story arc is beginning to kick in.

I enjoyed this episode immensley, though i found the opening scene with Connor a tad clumsy, just to put across the "family" thing.

Cordelia sans memory seems a little softer. How long til that changes me wonders, probably not long!.

I liked her scenes when Angel vamped out and then she ran straight into Lorne of all people pretty funny. I didn't like the look on his face when she sang for him, and not because she sounded truly horrible when she sang.

The scene between Connor and Cordy was sweet too, when she chose to stay with him as he'd been the only one who was honest with her. And the fact he told her she liked "shoes, doughnuts and was very brave" was nice too.

Lilah and Wesley.. their relationship is slowly evolving from the end of last season to now.

And poor Lorne.... can't wait til next week's episode! 🙂

i loved cordelia's figyhting scenes they were fab.
I think this season is probably going to be the best.
What does evrybody think to cordy's new hair?
I love it!!!

I really didn't like Cordy not remembering but I loved the interaction between her and Conner. I love Conner! 🙂

Everything about this episode jarred with me. I found myself cringing every two seconds and wondering what Sky 1 were showing instead of the usual Angel brilliance. In my opinion, the worst episode of Angel ever. For the first time in history this week's Buffy was better than Angel...

I must admit to not being entirely impressed with this episode either. It just seemed very *awkward* to me, nothing seemed to flow properly.

It was nice to see Cordy back, even if somewhat subdued at the moment, although she certainly remembers how to fight! There were some funny moments, courtesy of CC which I was glad of.

I think I'm starting to warm up to Connor a little more, and the scenes between him and Cordelia were quite touching, but definitely not like I expected, I just kept thinking something was going to happen between them, the whole mood during those scenes were a little too intense. Was it me, or did Connor have his hand on her boob at one point? *shudders* I can't cope with another mismatched relationship, Wes & Lilah are enough to deal with!

"Wes & Lilah are enough to deal with!"

I honestly can't believe how poor that 'twist' has been. Fair enough that Wes became estranged but they've dramatically shifted his entire character in a direction he just wouldn't go. We've had four episodes so far and in every single one they've had an awful Wesley/Lilah scene in which either she is on top of him or he is on top of her. I'm not sure I can stand another one. The writer's have had their 'fun' now we need some damage control and fast. A good start would be an unbearably painful demise for Lilah...

Couldn't agree with you more Grounded!!! I find the whole thing just, well words cannot express how much I want to see the end of it.

I did enjoy this episode and found it fun to watch but there was a kind of nothing much is happening vibe to it.

I thought Cordy was cool but I hope the amnesia is very temporary. The scenes of her looking back and her with the photos were very good. I liked the Cordy/Connor pairing but to take it to any other levels would be ewww! Connor too was cool this ep.

Lorne seeing Cordy's future was a bit ominous but I loved Gunn's I'm not a sidekick. I really want Gunn and Fred to play a bigger part, I sometimes get the feeling that they are in the background.

I'm bored of Wes and Lilah. I like them both but not together. Was Wes falling in love with her? If so the trick she played on him should put a stop to those feelings!

I hope she hasn't damaged his relationship with AI too badly.

I can't wait for Angel to get into this years arc and really start swinging!!

I think this week's episode was kind of setting up the foundations for the story arc for this season.

I liked Connor in this week's episode.. i actually find his character pretty interesting, of him coping with being a teen, who and what his father is, coping with life in general in this dimension after the hell dimension that was the Qu'ortoth. 🙂
