Long Day's Journey

HE WHO HOLDS THE KEY "“ When the gang learns that the answer to stopping the Beast (guest star Vladimir Kulich) is among them, everyone suspects Connor (Vincent Kartheister), until Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) begins to receive visions from the Powers That Be. Meanwhile, Angel (David Boreanaz) and Gwen (guest star Alexa Davalos) discover that the Beast is preparing a device that will blot out the sun permanently and turn the world into a demon playground. Alexis Denisof, J. August Richards, Amy Acker and Andy Hallett also star. Terrence O'Hara directed the episode written by Mere Smith.

This thread will be open for posts after the episode has aired at 9.00pm tonight on Sky One, to avoid the risk of spoilers being posted.

Enjoyed tonights episode, and how dark has CC's hair got already? Ok, back to the episode...

Liked seeing Gwen agaain, hope we see more of her, she's got a fiery attitude and it was amusing to see Angel using Gwen to make Cordy jealous.

At last, we have the missing piece of the puzzle - Angelus is the key, which hopefully means we get to see DB all mean and 'grrr arghhhy' again - he plays Angelus so well!

Only annoying element was Gunn, his problem with Wes just makes me want to slap him! Understandable why he feels like that towards him , there has always been a touch of rivalry between them where Fred is concerned, doesn't he realise if Fred really loves him that she wouldn't be interested in anyone else - Gunn obviously doesn't feel secure in their relationship and sees Wesley as a real threat.

NB: It was nice to see the acknowledgement of Glenn Quinn's death - but please don't let this thread turn into a memorial for Glenn Quinn. I don't mean to sound callous but we had a thread dedicated to Glenn when he passed away last year, this thread is for episode discussion please. 😉

Enjoyed it aswell!!!

Gunn is getting worse every week, why couldnt Gwen left him dead!!! Would love to see Gwen again!!!

Cordy's hair is darker, and I like it!!! I was looking at her hair in the episode and I said that is a bit darker than last week!!!

Dont know what else to say!!! Another fantastic episode!!!

Just how good was tonight's episode??. I loved it!!

I like Gwen, and i was pleased she was back. And oh to see Cordelia jealous, which is exactly what she was, like she had any right to be!. And yep, Angel used it to his full advantage.. liked his quote "nice to make you crazy for a change" 😀. And there's definitely chemistry between Gwen and Angel.. more please!!

And i agree about Gunn's attitude towards Wesley. He feels so threatened and i think it got worse with Wes's change of attitude, the fact that he's a whole lot darker (i think they all are this season, so far). But yeah, after a while i wanted to slap him too, it was tired and it was plain childish!.

I think everything really started to get going from the fight scene between Connor and The Beast.. the wire work was great!. And the Beast actually flung him out of a fourth or fifth storey window and he survived!! (those super powers he's inherited from his parents methinks). And he's calling Angel "dad" a heck of a lot more now, Angel's "It's okay Connor, i'm here now" sounded very paternal 🙂 it's something a parent would say to a child who was scared or hurt.

And Cordelia's vision.. which turned out to be a memory. Of the Beast and Angelus. Wes explained why Angel probably wouldn't have remembered the Beast, but why would the Beast remember him now and not the first time they went head to head this season??.

Oh and Wes said those three dreaded words "We need Angelus"::disturb: :: hiding:

I really, really can't wait til next week's episode!!!

i too really enjoyed the ep. cordy's hair was nicer dark so i am glad it is back. I read somewhere that if their is a fifth season gwen may be a regular - I hope so!!! what do you all think???
I agree - gunn needs to be killed off he is sooo dull!!!
My favourite quote from this ep was when cordy called gwen supertramp it was so funny.
I really enjoyed this ep.

I really liked the episode, but once again, Gunn's big jealous attitude bugged me throughout. I thougth Gwen would make a great addition to the AI team. She seemed to fit really well when they all went to Connor's apartment. I really liked the idea's of the Totums and stuff too, I like Egyptian histry so it as nice to see something Egyptian-y mentioned in Angel.

I give this episode four stars! ****

i really liked the ep. Gwen is so good and death to Gunn. Fred and wesley should be together, they bothlove books. Cordelia is such a bitch telling angel to get over it, she should have stayed a higher being. the beast is great! i give it 5 out of 5

Gwen so should become a regualr in Season 5, if there is going to be one!!!

Well in my opinion, Angel beat Buffy this week.

I loved this episode. For me one of the best so far of this season. I think I'm finally getting into 4.

I was so pleased to see Gwen back. I really like her character and after Ground State I hoped she would return. Make her a regular!!

I loved the scenes where Connor and The Beast fought and then the whole, I'll throw you through a window! That was cool!

I liked the bit where Connor was talking to Cordy about his super hearing, super speed, super strength. And I loved Cordy's hair!! No more blonde please!

I liked the interactions between Gwen/Fred, Gunn/Gwen and Angel/Gwen. That's a lot of Gwen!! Also, I'm not finding Gunn annoying, I seem to be the only one!!

I'm looking forward to next week and if Angelus returns, please don't let him kill any of the AI team!!

is buffyhelp the only one who thinks cordy was out of order?
I don't - she wasnt even seeing him when she slept with connor so she can do as she pleases. Go cordy angel is the one out of order not her!!!!

Did I miss something at the end because I thought the beast was pushed into the portal but then appeared in the doorway straight after?

It was done to illustrate how strong and powerful he is,what a tough opponent he is,I believe,I could be wrong though.....😀

Why did the Big Bad go to Connor's apartment to do the ritual?

Cordy had no right to get territorial over Angel after what she did!

Looking forward to having Angelus back - yay!!

Eep!! The sun's gone!! What'll they doooo??

Poor Gunn - I like him!! He is being a bit petty but, hey, he's gonna get hurt and he knows it (deep down). That doesn't mean he just wants to give up on 'his woman'...

I'd rather see Gwen with Angel than Cordy.

FAAIITH - WHERE ARE YOUUU!!!!
