Buffy's training of the Potential Slayers takes on a greater urgency as they and the Scoobie gang race against time to try and defeat the Ubervamp, who guards the cave where Spike is being held captive. Meanwhile, Anya and Giles meet with an oracle-like creature who has unsettling information about Buffy's past and future.

Firstly, I didn't see anything of Buffy training the potentials. I mean, I take back what I said in the other thread. This was DEFINITELY NOT a filler episode. I thought it was fantastic. But Buffy wasn't training any slayers.

I thought it was funny how you could place each potential. Here we have SIT New York, SIT southern, SIT England, etc. Though Kennedy rocks. She's the only one I like. All the others are just whiny!

That whole mindspeech thing was damn cool. I like how they knew that Buffy would have to prove herself to these girls.

I guess we were wrong about Giles. He isn't the First, but then, how did he survive? I wish they would EXPLAIN that to us already!

It's funny how Willow's all wary of sleeping in the same bed with Kennedy. I thought it was funny. But since Kennedy seems to be in the know about Willow's past magic problems, you'd think she'd have more tact and not goad Willow on with it.

GO BUFFY! in the fight scene. Nothing new of course, but honestly, you were thinking the whole time, "uh... WHY didn't she bring some kickass sword along with her?" the wire things was awesome though. and after she put the first eye out, I was all, "DO IT AGAIN! THEN HE CAN'T SEE! LIke the Bringers!"

When you see "SIT southern" at the end, the First really, I expected to see it smiling a little, but it actually LOOKED worried when it say that the ubervamp was dead... good!

And that was so touching at the end, when Spike was all What are you going to do now? A knife? you can't touch me. And it was the Real Buffy, and the look on his face.... it was so sweet.

And what was with the Oracle? Eye? EYES more like. that thing was weird. And a little... sarcastic for an oracle. So what's wrong with Buffy being alive? So what? there have been two Slayers for years now. Why should it matter THIS time?

and I love how they set it up for a possible Faith return. With the whole "I hear there's another Slayer somewhere..."

I thought this episode was awesome. I mean, the Buffy vs. Ubervamp was an amazing fight. And OMG I love Andrew, he is frickin' hilarious! "Two men enter.. only one leaves". He had me laughing all the way through. I hope they keep him, he's good comic relief. I like how they had the FE be Eve, because it makes the situation a little more difficult, knowing how all the SITs feel and.. yeah, I loved this episode. I liked the whole mind speaking thing, but I wasn't sure how that was possible. Didn't Buffy initiate the conversation? I would think that Willow would have to.. and how come it wasn't Buffy's voice? It got me confused..

spike and buffy have to get together for real this time!!! gotta luv the ending...
how many times has anya changed her hair color?!?!?!
i wonder what will happen if they bring back faith...
and if its buffy's fault this first evil is happening...will they be killing her off for good this time? with spike maybe...like a romeo and juliet thing...lol ...yea but really...is there going to be another season?
the SITs were maad annoying this ep...whiny much
and i was thinking....possible dawn and andrew hook up...that would be maad funny...
ok...done for now...bbl

pz...

Yeah, Buffy was the one who initiated.. that had me confused too...

We're not sure yet that Giles isn't The First, because he still hasn't touched anything yet, and his escape hasn't been explained.

It was a good epp.. I was actually biting my fingers when the Turok-han was strangling Buffy because for some reason I was thinking "Crap, what if they kill Buffy or something!" but that was just inane blabble.

And Buffy's revival caused this.. I don't get it.. it didn't do it the first time around.. but the second time.. makes no sense... the only reason I see fit was that The First saw there were two Slayers... but I dunno...

Kennedy is COOL but there is *something* not right about her.. can't put my finger on WHAT though.

"Don't! Just watch.. it's showtime."

Andrew is gay so they cant hook up 😉 He also helped Warren whom killed Tara, Willows girlfriend and Dawns friend as well as helped Warren try to kill Buffy and as if that wasnt enough he also killed Jonathan 😛 So nah.

This was a good episode, didnt like the ubervamp fighting with them watching and stuff, didnt like how Kennedy didnt accept the fact about Willow having used magic before and it didnt quite work out etc. Hope she dies 😛

Andrew was funny in this episode and I liked how it ended with Buffy coming to get Spike and him being very happy.

I personally liked this episode and from the ending it looks as if no matter how much Buffy disagree's she cares for Spike so very much and he cares for her. I wouldn't mind Buffy and Spike together they would both be happier so i have hope for those two!

Oh and to add, I really didnt like that new slayer coming in this episode...She was annoying, she was so negative, and pessimistic god I wanted to shove a stake down her throat or run a barbwire through her throat ::wave::

Does she die in a later ep? :$

Actually, I'm pretty sure he touched Anya on the way out of the portal, and I thought that we already cleared that up the whole Giles/FE thing in the spoiler thread?

Overall I thought it was an excellent episode. I liked the interaction between the characters and how they made lots of openings for different possible outcomes for the end of the season. I especially liked the part where Anya complains about her sex life. She can't even give it away now. LOL, that was so funny. I loved the fight seen where Buffy killed Turok-Han. That was probably one of the best fight scenes this season. He definitely did a number on her this time and in BOTN. She was wicked injured in BOTN. I thought she did better this time. She killed him! 😀 But I also liked that Willow got to use majick, but I didn't like the way Kennedy goaded her. She obviously knows that it bothers Willow, so why does she push it?

I don't read spoilers, that's why.

Awesome ep!

I think the reason Buffy coming back this time has disrupted things is because she was not meant to come back this time. In the first season she was meant to kill the Master and she was revived by natural means - CPR. This time she was brought back thru magical means.

Obviously to stop the First Buffy will have to die for good - which saddens me but I think it would be a truly fitting way to end the show. However I don't think she will go by herself - I think Spike will go as well - in an act of their true love. Gotta love the tears in her eyes when he realized it was really her this time and not the First.

Really looking forward to the other new eps this month.

Did anyone notice that the big eye thing said "The First is attacking now because of something the Slayer did" Then Anya and Giles talked about bringing Buffy back to life. Maybe the eye meant that it was something Faith did?

CooL!

That's a good thought. Maybe Faith did this because she crossed the line or something?

I liked it. I was all "KICK HIS AZZ! BUFFY!" when she was fighting the uber-vamp. I agree with you guys, that new SIT = hella annoying.

I didn't really get the whole telepathic thing. If Willow can hear people's thoughts, then dam. She's absurd powerful.

I was thinking the whole thing with this "its Buffy's fault for being alive" might come down to her throwing off the balance.
Maybe good is winning a little to often for the First Evil's taste.

Andrew was brilliant, and truthfully, I don't understand about half the things he rambled on about. I'm unsure which one of us is considered pathetic because of that; me or him? nerd.

I didn't so much like Buffy's fight with the Turok-Han; it seemed more of a punch-to-the-face tag-team.

Giles is allowed to touch things, but he just isn't for some reason; First Evil "Cassie" was sitting down and touching the table when she confronted Willow.

Did it seem like -to anyone- that Xander, Willow and Buffy weren't too surprised that they were able to speak telepathically to one another? It was almost like they knew they could do that. Xander was a little startled/confused, but he got over it in a second.

I just had another thought, but I forgot what I was going to say. Damn. Will post back later.😛

Let's also give it up to Tom Lenk as Andrew in this episode. He really got a chance to shine and he had probably the best lines all the way through.

"Is there some sort of language you're speaking that I don't understand?"

Buffy (to the monster)--"Welcome to Thunderdome"
Andrew (automatically responds)--"Two men enter. One man leaves."

Will Andrew actually become a good guy? Will he get killed? I'm really curious as to his fate. He's one of the most entertaining charcters of the entire series run....At least I think so! 😎

Umm, not going to say anything about that. Might get me in trouble! 😉

It seemed to me like they did it all the time. Maybe it was some kinda spell they worked so that they wouldn't have to speak everything where people could overhear it? A safety precaution? But I did think it was funny, when Xander heard them in his mind and said "What?" and Kennedy reapeated what she just said about trying. He had such a funny look on his face! 😀

Another thing I wanna know is if the first evil is only allowed to appear recently, how was he able to appear in Season 3 in "Amends". He was the same guy, he just didn't have the UberVamp with him.
