Wow, good episode...really felt sorry for Spike, the 'limp sentimental fool'. I missed most of this as my family insisted talking throughout most of it...could anyone tell me what happened in the last five minutes? I missed it due to my family's conversation about cat urine and where Abby Foregate was 🙄

I enjoyed this ep and thought it was very well done especially torwards the end when Wood and Spike fighting, the flashbacks and Buffy and Giles were all mixed together. The episode flowed well in my opinion.
There wasn't enough Dru! I was really pleased to see her name on the guest list and was hoping for a lot more especially as last time we saw Juliet she was the First/Drusilla. Oh well, I guess I'm just thankful that she got a final (unless she appears again) appearence in.
I get that there wasn't enough time for Molly and Amamda to be included in this eps cast but Im still disappointed they didnt appear. Molly hasnt been around for ages and she is my fave SiT! Also Iyari Limon was on the guest list but Im pretty sure she didn't appear - I definately don't remember her being there.
I loved the teaser with Nikki, Spike and Lil' Wood, I really like Nikki, probably one of my favourite minor characters and I loved Spike's appreciation of her coat!
I think this episode worked really well for me because I felt sorry for both Wood and Spike. I also really enjoyed Buffy the character in this episode. Ive found her too unlikeable (although for understandable reasons) in some parts of this season but in LMPTM, she was cool.
I felt sorry for Dawn with the getting whacked and Im guessing that we now know what 'Joyce' meant when she said Buffy wouldnt choose her.
Anya puzzled me this ep - in her one short scene, I was so gobsmacked by the awful things she was wearing to hear what she said!!
I thought how Wood used the Trigger on Spike was very clever and I loved Giles' reaction to the new library. That reminded me of I Robot...You Jane and his arguments/flirting with Jenny.
Once again I'm left anticipating what's next.

I'm glad Spike didn't drink Wood - I was feeling sorry for both of them by then - although, even with his soul back, I reckon he's still a bit of a bad lad

Best scene for me......Andrew:"There's a guy called Fred on the phone,sounds pretty effiminate......" 😛
Enjoyable,very good episode I thought,great to see Spike the 'poet' again,just excellent acting all round......But I thought Willow was her strongest warrior...... 😕 Oh well roll on next week!

That was my fave scene too!!! I was laughin for several minutes! I really thought Spike would take out Wood but he didnt, I liked all the flashbacks especially Spike and Nikki's fight scene!
Another episode to make Season 7 one of the best seasons!!!
Good to see Dru again but I want her back for real, not in flashbacks or as The First the real Dru back in Sunnydale!!!
Always good to see some more Spike backstory. Didn't he have blond hair in the Fool For Love flashbacks though?
After the hit-and-miss that was Storyteller and the singularly awful Get It Done, this was a nice solid episode. Despite the usual continuity issues and character personality swings that I've come to expect of this season, I rather enjoyed Lies My Parents Told Me. Who'd have thought?

After rewatching the episode, I don't know how I could have missed Kennedy!
Rona, Andrew and Anya all only had one scene and I remembered they were all there. I wouldn't mind but it was the same scene Kennedy was in!
I blame it on Anya's outfit - must have rendered me partially blind!

Totally agree i love Dru, but i want real her. I loved this eppy. Spikes mum was so mean, glad he staked her, but i had my hand on my heart all the way through the eppy going awwwww!
He was so sweet to her! Don't stop the great eppy's they RULE!

Great episode. Loved seeing spike as a mummys boy, even when he turned into a vampire! She was pretty evil when she got sired though.
I thought Andrew's line about fred - so funny. I didnt like andrew last season at all but LOVED him this season, for example in Storyteller and here again, a fabulous show of the humour he brings.
Glad spike didnt kill wood, and although i sympathise with him, he is being really stupid - with the whole 'biggest apocalypse ever that might actually result in an apocalypse' thing going on, he has to see the bigger picture - spike is a very strong warrior, one of the strongest, and especially now he can no longer be controlled by a trigger.
Also, loved a touch of the old-times - giles and his library loving and computer-phobia! Great stuff.

Sorry, that's just the way I feel. I've been pretty vocal about my disappointment with seasons 6 and 7 in the past and the only reason I posted in this thread was to say that LMPTM was quite good. I mentioned Get It Done as a contrast - for me, as with many episodes of season 7, the episode had little if any merit. The hilarious Andrew is just about the only element of constancy these days.
