Angel's (David Boreanaz) son Connor (guest star Vincent Kartheiser) is brought back from the Hell dimension a feral teenage warrior, and is hellbent on vengeance against his father for his evil past. Charisma Carpenter, J. August Richards and Amy Acker also star. Tim Minear directed the episode written by Jeffrey Bell.

Lilah is also supposed to try to get Wesley on the bad guys' side.
(I found this at YesWes .)

OH! YesWes! My friend owns that site!😉

I don't know what to make of this ep. I mean, the whole Wes-takes-baby-Connor storyline was amazing, but now it seems as if the episodes now fall flat.

I demand that Wes gets a major storyline soon.

Wow, was it old age or did Holtz look really demonized? Connor is one tough S.O.B! I'd have to say that he's certainly not afraid of heights, judging from him leaping off buses and highways bridges. Excellent episode!

I only had one complaint/real ponder: Why all the really slow motion sequences when Connor was fighting?
I've been, thus far, pretty ambivalent about Groosalugg til now. But his sarcastic mutters about Angel cracked me up. Dun look good for him though... What with Cordy having Angel-stars-in-her-eyes-itis.
And the quote to truly be taken out of context: What I wouldn't give for a lasso and some crazy glue.

I totally agree! I mean poor Wesley ::bsad:: It's about time that Angel ::angel:: forgives him already. Wesley does need a major storyline soon. In the eps he only has like 2 scenes and he's always in his apartment. I hope that he can be with the rest of the gang again. I wish that Fred called Wesley. She was the only one that seems to be the only one not mad at him. I think she forgave him already. It seems like she did. The ep was good. What was up with the slow motion stuff? ::huh:: Didn't it kinda remind you of ' The Matrix'? Can't wait to see next week's ep! Please put more Wesley!😎

:: blond : BUFFY and SPIKE :: dracula 4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate that slow motion garbage...but anyway...

I really wasn't that impressed with this Connor/Steven storyline thing. I agree with Imp that I liked Groo a lot more this episode than in past ones. And yes we need more Wesley.

One question: If Connor was raised by Holtz, wouldn't he have an English accent?

Yeah I agree with Buffy Summers, wouldn't he have an accent?

Anywho, I kinda liked this episode and I liked Sunny or whatever her name was. It was so sad when she died even though I pretty much saw it coming. She looked like she'd make a good recurring character.

I guess in that hell demension everyone grows real fast. Look at Holtz, he certaintly put on a few years.

Highlights

Although predictable and overdone in lots of other shows, it was so cute when Cordy tried to use her powers. Groo was really cool in this episode as well, although I usually always liked him. Lilah's thing about hell was scary! I hope Wes, doesn't give in, although something tells me he will, unless Fred secretly calls him and tells him she forgivs him (assuming she has already). For some reason I liked Angel's "nice name, it's not Irish" although I don't even know why..

I want to see more about Cordy's powers!! I also think the next two episodes will feel very rushed.

Also, seeing the scenes where it says Connor will try to destroy everything Angel loves yada yada..how much you wanna bet Angel will forgive him?

I thought that last night's ep was great. Connor is very tough!!! Jfgahbro, I think that Holtz is demonized. I hate slow motion also. It is so overrated now.🙄 Anyway, does anyone think that Conner has some vamp powers? By the way he was leaping and jumping around, I think that he has some un-human powers. That's just my opinion though. By the way, what was up with Lila trying to recruit Wes? Wolfram and Hart doesn't know when to stop. That reference about betrayal from Inferno to Wes was a total burn. Here are some quotes that I thought were cool:

Gunn: Yeah, he looked scared kicking my a**. hehe
Sonny: Parents should have to take like a test or something before they can have kids. (Amen!!!)

Atleast I'm not the only person who was getting ticked off at the slo-mo stuff. Granted, sometimes it does make for good dramatic effects and it is pretty cool, but they've been using it so excessively, it's starting to *really* bug me.

The season's really picking up. Sadly, there's only a few more episodes left. This was a pretty good episode, but again, not the best. There was too many nitpicks and so on.. some that were already mentioned. Although, one more-- Connor definitely said "Hi Dad" at the end of "The Price"/beginning of "A New World", so then why would he so adamently deny that Angel was his father last on in the episode? What was really even the point of that line? Obviously, some people might not know who it was and he's need to 'identify' himself, but they should have put in another line if they were going to contradict themselves later. 🙄

I'd so like to see more of this whole Wesley/Wolfram & Hart thing. It's very interesting, atleast to me. Wes really seemed convinced to almost join. He's walking a thin line right now, and I don't know where he's going. Back to AI or to W & H?

My thoughts exactly.
I like Vincent Kartheiser. At first I thought he was cute. then I though he was weird looking. And then he looked kinda like a girl. Then, when he got into regular clothes (And while he was getting into regular clothes, he was hot!!!
And the slo-mo thing has got to go!!!

But it was a good episode!

Probably not vamp powers but definitely demonic. Holtz looked a lot like Sajhan at the last scene. Also, if you think about it, how else could have Connor and Holtz survived in a forbidden hell dimension just as humans for over a decade? If Connor was hiding out most of his life he wouldn't be so tough as he is. He definitely got a lot of practice. I also don't see Holtz, a middle-aged man from the eighteenth century surviving for sixteen hellish years.

"A New World" Question

How the hell did Connor know where to find Holtz at the last scene? Did they both communicate by telepathic means?

Good question. Connor shouldnt know his awy around LA at all. Maybe he smelled him out? And how did Holtz get into this dimension? We saw Connor come through the tear, but not Holtz, so how did he get here?

Sorry, I dont actually have an answer.

well, time obviously travels faster in the hell dimension. 15 years... Connor is 15, Holtz is prolly 55 or so... And in a place where you're constantly fighting, you'd likely age quicker. And DAMN! Holtz REALLY looked like Sarjhan! It was freaky!

I think Connor said "Hi Dad" because he knows that Angel is his biological father, but refuses to acknowledge him as his "father" as in the person who raised him.

The accent thing... yeah, that's backwards.

Question: How did Holtz get back? Connor came through the portal, where did Holtz come in?

"I like it, It's not Irish" was a GREAT line... laughed my ass off!

Gru was slightly less annoying in this episode, but knowing my own biased opinion, I probably liked him better because he's drifting from Cordy and is likely to get kicked off the Island soon.

I wish that Fred would just call wes already... this whole "Let's call wes" and then Gunn jumping in with "NO!" thing is getting dumb. it happens twice on episode!

How did Holtz get back? Connor came through the portal, where did Holtz come in? [/B]

I think Holtz entered through the same portal Connor went through between the time Groo and Cordelia were knocked out and when Fred and Gunn found them. That's my only guess because god knows how long Groo and Cordelia were out cold. Anything could've came in.

What a great ep. I couldn't believe the end. I mean I was actually getting "sucked into" Holtz little story bit to Angel! (I know - I'm so naive).

Yes - I would say Holz came through when Cordy and Gru were out. I'm pretty sure the dimension lady (forget the name) said that she felt that something else had come through the portal.

As for Connor - I was wondering about the whole power strength thing b/c obviously he's stronger and more 'capable' than your average human, but I thought that the baby Darla carried was completey human? Can anyone clarify that for me?

Can't wait for next ep!

Thanks Buffy. I was kinda wondering about that b/c he's got such a hate for demons and it was said that Darla was bearing a human baby. But at the same time he's "special" and really powerful too. That totally makes sense now 🙂
