I cant believe thats it....over

Good episode, although, i kinda guessed a bit of the whole making others 'chosen' but i thought it would only be the slayers in training.

In a way a lot of things were left undone, I cant believe that Anya's death was so low key, and they didn't make such a big deal of it - and Spike WTF!!!! I cried for like half an hour. Even when they were all doing their big fight and the music was going i was crying. After 7 years it came down to this. And the little montage with all the girls getting their slayer powers.....sniff

OMG! You seem to be the only one who understands the whole Anya thing! I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! It was like "okay Anya was stabbed and is dead...lets get coffee!"

I cried over the whole Spike thing completely! And I really felt for Faith at the end when she thought Wood was dead...I think they would make a great couple!!!

I only thought the potential Slayers were gonna get the power...not all the potentials Slayers in the world!!! OMG!

But I can't believe its over! Excellent episode overall!

Yup you and me had the same thinking. I do like the double meanings of it though, of all the young woman having the power, its a good message. Poor Xand....one comedy moment was when they were playing the board game.

And agreed about Faith and Wood 😀

Count me as faith and Wood shipper #3.
Maybe I'm a little confused...but didn't Giles say that teh bringers had been killing potential slayers trying to eliminate the slayer line, therefore the power should only have become part of thoes girls who Buffy trained as they were the only ones left? Colour me confused. then again, it's mystical...

I loved the episode...but I'm a little worried by the monumental lack of closure. Also expected Buffy to have the last word, and she didnt. Weirding me out!

Oh. My. Goddess.

That's it, I still feel tingly. I went to get a drink afterwards and I couldn't walk properly!! I felt drunk. I feel really sad and angry yet happy and sort of fulfilled.

The ep had everything. Comedy, drama, Jossness, great dialogue and imagery. The acting was top notch and it was beautifully epic. Most of all it was Buffy.

It didn't feel like a season finale let alone the series finale for the first half. It really hit me when the camera showed the school then swung back to Wood leading everyone in. From that moment on it was tingles all the way!

I liked that Angel departed early. I think his appearence was needed but I wanted a Spuffy ending!

I thought the Chosen would be the next Slayer called not all potentials becoming a Slayer! Its strange. Kennedy the Vampire Slayer, Vi the Vampire Slayer......but I do like it. They broke the rules big time!

Ive reformed and am now a Kennedy fan. When she called herself a brat I was thinking you're so right but I liked that she could admit it. Oh and I like that she has a pierced tongue (like me). Loved Willow's line about losing control from her girlfriends pierced tongue!

I thought Vi was great this ep. She has only been a minor character this season but I like her and she realy shone in the battle.

Amanda's death really upset me. When they showed the close up of her bloodied face my sister said 'thats Amanda' and I was just like 'oh no'.

Losing Anya was tough as well. She has been a major fave of mine over the years and it seems wrong that she didn't make it through. Was her death scene very badly cut because it was pretty unclear until they showed the close up of her face with eyes wide open.

Spike. Wow. I cant believe Joss did that but then again I can because it was such a Joss thing to do.

Since The Gift I have wanted Spike to sacrifice himself in the last ever episode for Buffy. I got my wish plus saving the whole world!! It was very powerful and she told him. Thank God she told him!

The only thing I felt missing was an appearence by Amber Benson. When Willow did the spell and went blonde I wanted Tara to flash by as if guiding Willow.

Also where was Chao Ahn?

I'm still wowing. Cant wait to see it again.

FAB!!! 🙂 I enjoyed it alot!

Vi was terrific in 'Chosen'

I didnt realise it was Amanda who died at first, why couldnt Rona of dyed instead!

I got a bit tearful when Xander spoke to Andrew concernin Anya! She could of gone out a bit different compared to the Potentials!

I saw Chao Ahn!

I liked Buffy's cookie theory!

It was neat to see Angel stay on Buffy for a further 8 minutes!

Spike's death was manic, I liked it alot! He wiped everything out!

I wil return to this thread alot over the next few days to discuss further! I will of watched it a few more times since my return, hehe!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

After Some thought. I still think that it didnt seem like the very final episode till in the school. I liked that before the fight started we saw the original 4 together: Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles. And the disscussion about what they we're gonna do the next day, them walking away and Giles saying: "The earth is definitely doomed". A whole homage to the end of "The Harvest", more-or-less exactly the same. I was like "WhooHoo" 🙂

I felt the Anya thing wasnt shown enough, but when we never saw her, I knew. Not my fav character but it was sad! I had heard Xander was gonna die, and was so 🙂 when he didnt!

I saw Chao Ahn too, fighting briefly!

It was wierd that Kennedy hardly fought, but good as she was Willow's anchor! She looked so beautiful, white! the complete opposite from last season, I had a tear!

And Spike, OMG!!! what can I say, it was amazing! his sacrifice to save the world! that scene has left me completely lost for words! And Buffy not having the last word, wired but good as SMG showed all her emotions without speaking at all. The realisation, that she was not the only "one", Spike's sacrifice! you could see it all in her face.

Oh, Buffy's cookie theory, isnt it taken from Spike's speech to her in "Touched"? Im not sure, but it was strangly familar to me.

Vi was great in this episode, as she was always so unsure of being a slayer. She kicked a$$!!

Amanda dying??? Why???

And Faith and Wood, it was so nice to see Faith's emotion at the thought that he was dead, showed she was human! Oh, did any1 else think he was until Faith touched his face to close his eyes, then he suddenly woke?

Finally, I felt it left it wide open to continue. A lot of unfinished ties, that could easily be picked up again! any1 else think the same?

I'll be back soon to, see what other people thought!

🙂

I am in severe shock!

I cannot believe that it is over!

When Anya died i was so upset, and then they showed her and i was so shocked, i wanted Xander to take her body, i don't like the thought that she went down with the rest of Sunnydale!
Definately didn't make a big enough deal of her dying. But she's with Tara now!

Omg! I was so upset as well when Spike died, and Buffy said she loved him! That was so so so so so so sweet! But i want Spike back, ididn't like the way he went out, but i guess he died happy coz he was kinda laughing!

Anya and her bunnies again! Glad she got some good last lines, lol very funny indeed!

The 'Welcome to Sunnydale' sign falling in to the hole, that made me laugh so much, but i was still kinda crying at the same time, so i didn't know how to feel!

I so guessed Caleb was gonna come back, i'd been thinking about him all week, and it was too easy to kill him like that! She split him in half! LOL again, coz that jus made me laugh!

Ooh i also knew that Wood wasn't gonna be dead, i knew he was gonna say surprise!

I keep thinking about season 8, then realising there isn't gonna be one! That's just making mereally depressed now!

When the 'Welcome To The Hellmouth' sign fell down that made me chuckle too!!!

All I have to say is...................I can't believe its over!!! Thats it, no more Buffy..............I'm so upset!!! ::crying2:

Great episode! I was so upset when Anya died and don't even get me started on Spike. The fighting was great! And Anya and her bunnies..........very funny.

::crying2:

When Buffy said to Spike:"I love you".......I bet everybody watching had tears in their eyes.....I know I did!! 😱

Joss Whedon is a brilliant writer,it's a shame he didn't write more episodes through the years.......Adored the script!!I was wondering how he was gonna tie things up....But he didn't!!😀

Shame there won't be a season 8........I could see so many possibilities!!Slayers going mad all over the world.....::evil::

Andrew lying to Xander about Anya's death was brilliant as well.....I think it shows that he's back on the side of humanity.........🙂

There were a few plotholes but I'll leave them be........😛

So......"What are we gonna do now"?.....::bsad::

Wow, phew etc. - what an ep! 😀

Way to end it Joss - completely destroy Sunnydale. There's no going back from that one. Let's hope we go forward sooner rather than later. I need a bit more closure here - either in Angel or new Buffy project.

One slight niggle - did Sky make loads of cuts here or was the editing a bit jumpy? I suspect the former especially round the big fight scenes and Anya's death.

Ohhh My God was that good or was that good.

I was crying for ages

The whole Angel being jelous of Spilke and vise versa was excellent.

So it's over where do we go from here?

What's to come Next anyone any thoughts about spinoffs which would be cool?

Y'know, it still hasn't hit me that it's all over 🙁
Great epsiode and brought me close to tears several times.

I even had a dream last night about Willow and Xander. I was in the body of Xander and we just stood there and hugged and cried for ages.

Even though I have seen Chosen before (my friend downloaded it from KaZaA), I still got all emotional and stuff while watching.

I loved the part when Willow was glowing white, she did look like a Goddess, one of the only times I have ever agreed with Kennedy 😀

I actually quite liked Kennedy in this episodem I don't know why, I just did. I think I just hated her because she wasn't Tara, but, I have grown to like her. (Although, I still look back and grin and laugh at Kennedy when faith puts her in her place).

Anya's death was sooo tragic, I was shocked that Sky didn't hack the hell out of her death, and the rest of the episode. Mr Pointy, no, Sky hardly cut it all, if ever. (I know this because I have seen the original version too). It is sad to think that Anya's body is now buried under a building or something deep down inside the remnants of the Hellmouth 🙁 Poor poor Anya.

There is now so much potential for a spin-off, they could pick almost any of the cast, including the potentials (or Slayers, as they are now) seeing as they have Slaying power. Somehow, I think that Joss would go a different route and pick Willow or Giles for the spin-off, I think he would be through with a 'Slayer' series now.

Lilah - Yes, there are other hellmouths around the world. As Giles mentioned in both 'The Wish' and 'Chosen', there is a hellmouth in Cleveland too, and probably in many other places around the world.

Overall, I absolutely loved this episode, I give it 10 out of 5!!

Wow, its the next night and I'm still a bit shocked. I really enjoyed this episode, parts just seemed to ooze old season 2 season 3 Buffy that I loved, like when they were about to enter the seal and Buffy Willow and Xander were talking about shopping, I thought it was really sweet.

I thought this ep was so much funnier than I expected, Andrew was genius as well as Anya and the Spike/Angel thing was really funny too.

I just loved the Faith/Wood scene when they were blocking the sewers and he said she wasn't groundbreaking in bed and she was ready to prove him wrong, I think its a shame their relationship didnt really get a chance or much screen time.I really think in the final few eps Faith seemed a lot more at ease with herself and not so insercure and a lot more loving or something.

The storyline was excellent and I loved the concept, the only problem I had was not really enough Xander and Giles in the episode.

The deaths shocked me, I had myself ready for either Faith or Dawn dying and Anya just blew me away. I cried so much, and felt it was so overlooked. I have to say I thought the Spike storyline was well written and touching but I actually didn't cry because i still think angel and Buffy work so much better. It was so sad when Xander asked andrew about Anya and he said 'Thats my girl, always doing the stupid thing'.

I'm sad its all over, but i'm glad it was such a strong episode.

Prio Motu - I knew about the one in Cleveland but not any others!!!

OMG!! This episode shook me. I was shaking and I still am 2 days later!! Anya's death brought out the tears in me, I realy felt for Xander... I can't belive he didn't cry. When Buffy told Spike she loved him just when he was about to sacrifice his life to kill the hellmouth. AND when Buffy was trying to catch up with the school bus by running across the top of the buildings which was just meteres from collapsing behind her...OMG. Sunnydale is gone...
I nearly got sent home from school 'coz I was so distraught!!
