Great episode - however, I don't think I'm a fair judge right now - it's been so long since I've had a new Buffy fix that ANYTHING would be welcome, good or bad. I do find myself walking away very sad. Again with the feeling that nothing can possibly go right for our Scoobies, at least not this season. To tell the truth, it's really very depressing, real or not.
I would LOVE to know what the song was at the end as Anya was picking up the Magic Shop.

I thought Anya was really funny at the beginning when she was trying to get them to wish Xander harm.
I thought Buffy was really good when she explained to Spike why she couldn't have sex with him anymore. She was honest. at least, she thought she was, and she did it kindly. Personally, I like them together, but I'm not sure if she does love him.
I think that most of the characters in general are way too self-righteous. We forgive them for so many things, yet when it's ONE thing, perhaps by a character we don't like as much, we feel an animosity to them, as do the other characters, even though they've done worse.

I loved at the end when Spike starts to make a wish and Anya stops him - heart-wrenching!
Xander can be such a jerk sometimes - and just once before the show ends I'd like to see him actually acknowledge the fact that Spike has helped them over the years, and maybe even shake his hand.
But I did think it was pretty cool when Xander went after Spike - it would have been better if they actually fought a bit though. I'd actually like to see an Anya-Xander-Spike triangle I think.
And I agree that Buffy doesn't really love Spike - not that way anyway. They're more believeable as good friends.

Funny about the Buffy not loving Spike that way... You know she has to at least care a little because she is trying to be nice to him, trying to be kind through the whole break-up thing... But if she doesn't have feelings for him, why was she so hurt that he slept with Anya?? Was she just angry for Xander?? Cuz you know she was hurt - she had that glare thing going on at the Magic Box, and she made that comment about it not taking Spike long to move on or him not wasting time (something like that). And she was hurt when Spike showed up at the wedding with that other chick. I don't think she loves Spike like he loves her, but I do think she cares more that she is letting on. And if she was soooo sure that her friends wouldn't flip about her sleeping with Spike, why hadn't she told them sooner?? I think Spike had a very good point on that one. And I think it safe to say that Xander flipped and did not just deal with the whole Buffy/Spike revelation...
Also, was I just blind last night or was Amber Benson no where in the opening credits?? I don't even remember seeing her name in the guest star listing...?????
Can't wait till next week - don't you just love how they piece together the previews to make you think one thing will happen and it ends up being totally opposite??? Sarcasm there in case you didn't catch it... 😉

I think Buffy cares about him as a friend - it's not that she doesn't care at all.
And just because she doesn't truly love him that doesn't mean she isn't going to be upset that he slept with someone else so soon.

I thought this was a very good ep. I do think that Buffy does care for Spike more than shelets on, she went after Xander to stop him from killing Spike afterall. I don't think she loves him, but Buffy can't truly use someone. That would require not emotions, but she isn't like that. She does care for him, just doesn't love him.
I would love to hear Xander admit that Spike has helped the SG out alot! I think he's has a serious problem with Vampires. he just can't accept that some are actually decent. (Angel & Spike.)

No, I don't think it;'s that, hun. Remember Xander's crush on Buffy? It's more like he's thinking, "When will it be my turn with Buff?", I mean, since she does seem to have a romance with lots of guys other than the Xan-Man.

Personally, this episode was just a filler. Taking up space for the season and just adding more suspense. I can't f***ing wait for the next four episodes! That's when things will really start hitting the fan!!!

Oh I loved this episode! It was soo sad at the end! But really funny in the beginning! It was funny that Anya didn't know that she couldn't make a wish..I felt really sad though while Xander was in his room listening to the music and when Anya was asking him if he really wanted to get married. Then it got funny when she went to Tara & Willow, Buffy & Dawn..and I was thinking maybe she was right and they didn't like her! But of course they did! Then when she was makeing out with Spike, I was like 'Go Anya!' but then at the end when Xander was about to kill him and when he went 'I can't even stand to look at you!' I was like...Oh poor Xander! I wish Anya never did this! I felt soo sorry for Xander and then poor Buffy and really sad for Anya since she really wanted to get back a Xander but then at the end didn't let Spike wish for anything. It was so sweet still kind of showing how much she loved him!

Last night's ep was good. This is the Buffy that I have been missing. I'm glad that Willow and Tara are back together. I don't think Xander had the right to get mad about Spike and Buffy. I guess since he is so disgusted with Spike it pissed him off. Oh well, the four eps will be really good.😀 😀
wow!! What a great episode!! There was so much chemistry between Spike and Anya, their scenes were just amazing!!! My heart went out to Xander so much bless him.
It is also good to see Willow and Tara back together, they are so sweet!
The Trokia.....ahhh how they never fail to make me smile!! The whole bike thing in the cemetary was so cool and i wonder what Warren and Andrew are planning to do to poor Jonathan and why were they locating an area on that map!!!

Wow, ok that episode shocked me a lot. I saw the trailer for it on the buffy website but I truthfully thought the couple on the screen was Buffy and Spike. Great ep and I felt sorry for both Xander and Anya in this ep... can't wait till next week

Aww I just wanted to hug Xander in this episode, how hurt he must be 🙁🙁🙁 This was really really crazy!!! Buffy's reaction to spike and anya suprised me, I didn't think she really cared for spike.
A good and def suprising ep! Dawn finally mentioned the "when you were my age you were slaying vamps and going out etc"! Yay!
I thought it was really sad that anya would want to hurt the man she *loves* by wishing those horrible things. That was way harsh! Aww poor xander 😡

I :: red ::ed this ep! I was in such anticipation when I saw the preview. I really didn't like the :: dracula Spike and Anya ::noangel1 sex scene ::thumb:: I do admit that Both of them did get revenge on Buffy and Xander. But it wasn't the way they wanted it to happen. I think that Buffy ::heart::s Spike. Why was she so sad 🙁 when she saw them on the computer? Buffy's in such major denial. My favorite part of the ep was in the beginning where Spike said to Buffy ' Why don't you sleep with me again?' And then the vamp chasing after Buffy looked at Spike with a confused 😕 face. That was so funny! Can't wait to see next week's ep!

really enjoyed this episode and I just love the way the whole season has focused on all the 'life' decisions that the gang have made, and how it effects others surrounding them. They have had to deal with all the repercussions that their decisions have had such as the Scoobies dealing with the guilt of bringing Buffy back from the grave/heaven, who in turn then had to deal with being brought back from where she was happy. Buffy has also had to deal with sleeping with Spike, and keeping it from her friends and sister. We've seen Willow's addiction to magic lead to her losing Tara, and hurting her friends. Xander has had to live with his decision to leave Anya at the altar, and Dawn has had to face up to the fact that she has been stealing too. This whole season has been more about them facing the adult world, and having to deal with life.
I think this episode was very adult in it's content - definitely something that shows just how far the show has come since Season 1.
We had some moments of light relief with Warren, Andrew and Johnathon - I liked how they have been hinting all along that Andrew is gay, but finally in my opinion confirmed that,
by his comment about Spike looking really cool, and then quickly covering it by, "the girl looks hot too" - lmao 😀
I've also got to comment on Xander - boy can he be such an ass at times. I mean I know the guy is hurting by geez...Anya was really spot on when she told him he was still a scared little boy and needed to grow up and stop cracking jokes. What did he expect? For her to throw her arms open and welcoem him back and thank him for not marrying her! It's blatantly obvious that they are still in love with each other but it was way too early for him to expect Anya just to forgive him and go back to how things were between them.
Buyy & Spike - she was way more hurt by Spike sleeping with Anya, than even she thought she could be I think. I actually think she does care for him, perhaps in her own way even love him, but not as he loves her. Somtimes though I do think it is more a case of although she doesn't want him, she doesn't want anyone else to have him, because she likes the fact that he feels the way he does about her.
Finally, Willow & Tara, how good was it to see those two make up - the scene at the end when Tara said, can we just skip it, and that she wanted for Willow to be kissing her..awwwwwww......that was just so moving it bought tears to my eyes.
Can't wait to see next week's episode now!
