Official Discussion Of "Once More, With Feeling"

I really wasn't sure what to expect from the long awaited all singing all dancing eppy, and was worried it would be a tad cringe worthy.
But rap my knuckles for thinking that Joss could write anything that wasn't downright fantastic.
The cast were amazing, the score was brilliant, and my dad and I laughed and tapped our feet through pretty much the whole thing.
Had to re-watch it as soon as Angel had finished..... 10/10 :: tu ::
 
I have the video of it recorded from yesterday (I don't have Sky my friend records for me) and I can't wait to get home and watch it!!!!!
 
I have officially found my new favorite episode of Buffy!! I was really looking forward to seeing this ep, and to be truthful I thought I'd end up disappointed because I was so hyped about it but it was excellent. All the cheese and the songs and dances were excellent, and even though they were songs, this ep sheds light into lots of characters, eg Giles feeling like he's holding back and Spikes thoughts about Buffy. I was singing along and laughing so much at this ep, Joss at his best. No other show could pull off A no Dialogue Ep(Hush), a no music ep (The Body) and a Musical ep( Once More with Feeling) and not get critical acclaim, but at least the fans know how good the show really is.
I'm getting scared now because I really really really like Giles' singing voice::disturb:

The ep was also really sad, when the scoobies finally found out that Buffy was pulled out of heaven, and even Tara finding out Willow had a spell on her. Overall, excellent ep, one to watch repeatedly

I thought it was excellent and Anya singing about Bunnies was brilliant - they've obviously all got great voice except for Willow - noticeably not singing

Oh Yes! This ep was amazing, I wasn't disappointed in the least. So much happened as well, they finally found out buffy was in heaven, spike and buffy smooched ::heart:: ::heart:: ::heart::, tara found out about the spell and giles seems as confused as ever.

The singing and dancing was absolutely fantastic, Amber Benson has a lovely voice and her song to Willow was so sweet. I definitely think Amber's voice was the best. Anya and Xander made me laugh so much with their song.

I went to watch this again after angel only to find my video machine has messed up 🙁 So I'm just going to download all the songs now (thanks for the tip Jo 😉) They better bring out a soundtrack to this, it was sooooo brilliant. Genius ep, and two major thumbs up to Joss, who I had no doubt in whatsoever.

I just hope next week they sort out some of the storylines that were opened up in this ep. I'm hoping that Tara will go mad at Willow. oooh and whats going to happen with Buffy and Spike? ::angel:: Buffy's feelings were made really clear to the scoobies, just hope she cheers upa bit next week.

If Joss doesn't win an award for this, he wil have been robbed yet again! Doesn't matter if he doesn't get an award because I think every Buffy fan was completely in love with this ep and we all know how creative and brilliant Joss is 🙂
 
Welll Brilliant episode BUT why oh why did Tara's lil luv ballad end abruptly, I'm sure it played through until the 'Climax' of the song and then one of Spikes Words got snipped durin a convo... grrrrr

A lot of thought obviously went into this episode so here's hoping that next weeks ep is up to standard... YAY A new president set fer buffy fans!!! WAY HEY... roll on next week!!

I loved this episode- it was soo amazing- i really liked The group songs and Spikes and Giles' songs-
there are too many words to describe it

I absolutely loved this ep! There were so many new storylines opened up by the ep - and it was certainly noticeable that willow did very little singing. The writing was great though - that they were still the characters, but singing in rhyming couplets. ASH and Amber Benson have got *amazing* voices - I' definitely going to buy ASH's album now. Had to love when you get the big group sing song at the end

Spike "B*gger this!" And walks out! I was sniggering away over that!!!
 
I totally loved this episode.

A total work of art! This was totally amazing!
 
A FANTASTIC episode! Extremely funny, I couldn't stop laughing all the way through.

My parents swiftly exited the living room when Anya along with the pyrotechnics exploded into song about bunnies!

I really thought that Amber Benson was outstanding! Her song in my belief was by far the best of the lot and I was glad that she got to sing more than once!

Xander and Anya were hugely funny (and slightly rude 😉) though aren't they always! I would have been embaressed though had my folks still been sat beside me at that point!

"You two are so sad! Don't you get it? Its SUPPOSED to be funny" <- Matt explains to his parents as they make more comments on how sad I am for watching a bunch of geeks attempt to sing!

I can't wait till tomorrow so I can watch it again, I will try and tape it as well 😀

Emma and Amber by far stood out in this episode I mean WOW...
"When Things, Get Rough he just hides behind his buffy and now he's getting huffy, 'cause he knows that I know..." can't resist singing along to that one!!!

"One More rendition of our little ditty and I was ready to get the gasoline..." hehe Anya soo funny and she was so worried about the others getting possible pop smashes and her n Xander just having their 50's Fred & Ginger Routine!!!
 
I LOVED IT!!!

It was soo great!!! Spike and Giles singing was amazing! Buffy's songs were great too!! And Anya and the bunnies!!!! And ok - I loved everything!!!

Esp - Walk through the fire and life's a show!!

And the dancing was soo funny! Giles: She needs backup (lol) so they go and sing!!!

Definitely, amber benson and tony heads voice have to be the best, i never though amber would have such a beautiful voice, its totally different from her voice (hope that didnt sound evil coz it werent intentionally)

I loved the Anya Xanders dance and singing and anya's bunnies verse has to beat the whole lot *lol

Overall it has to be pretty much the best episode ever written, josh is definitely the best.
 
I know what you mean though I had a feeling that Amber would be a good singer, and boy was she! She was just amazing 😀

WHERE O WHERE is the Soundtrack CD, 😕 all musicals have one. If it exists pray tell me to whence I must flee. OOOO and let me know what it's called. Spikey and Giles, what a pair of pairs of lungs 'gor blimey guvnor' everything was total decaf land.

AAARGH OOOOO WOW I must immediately be able to listen to that many times in the car. Counld anyone get Bummed out with that playing...😎... even in an M25 Traffic Jam!!!!!!!!!

If anyone's listening and there is not yet a CD Then may a the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits.

I couldn't wait for the cd so I downloaded all the songs and put them on a blank cd. Ill probably end up buying the soundtrack anyway, but I'm too addicted to the songs! 🙄
 
Great episode, the songs are whirling round my head like nobodies business but...

am I the only one who blubbed like a baby? (this was me ::crying:: ) I was totally distraught after Giles' 'standing in your way' song, and then even worse then ASH and Tara are singing their individual songs about having to leave, even though they don't want to, in tandem.

I was a total emotional mess after that number! I thought i'd be OK on the re watching of it, but each time (4 now 😀 ) I still fall into the emotionally crippled catagory😛

The episode was stunning, I loved the diffreent song stylings to suit and express each characters individuality, and poignant song of the day award goes to Tara's song, which remained intrinsically the same, but going to 2 different poles of emotions after the discovery that Willow messed with her mind.
 
YAY i can finally speak about this ep!!! (watching it off the net a month before everyone else is not as great as you might think) Giles song is great i love it! Going through the motions is great i love it! (shes not half the girl she oww"!!! and all singing all dancing vamps!!! leading right on to Spike, Rest in peace was great, i love it!

did anyone else thing the demon was'nt all bad?

BTW did i mention the "theory song" including bunnies and buffys bit is great, I love it!
