Official Favorite Angel Season of Buffy-Boards.com!

Season 5 will always be my favourite. It was the first full season of Angel or Buffy that I saw, and I love almost every episode. I love the overall storyline, it's so epic, yet there are lots of funny and light-hearted moment.
Second favourite would probably be season 1. Great fun to watch, although there was no big storyline it remained engaging throughout. The characters were great, and it was nice to see some of my favourite Buffy characters (Faith, Buffy, Spike). Doyle's death was IMO the saddest moment in the whole 'verse.
Third favourite would be season 4. Great season-long story arc, and it was great to see Faith kicking ass again. Also had my boy Angelus, one of my favourite characters of all time. However the whole pregnant Cordy thing annoyed me.
Then it would be season 2. Decent storyline but it seemed like the main protagonists spent more time arguing between themselves than fighting evil, which irritated me. However I did like the Pylea season finale.
Lastly, season 3. Didn't really like the overall storyline, and all the episodes seem to just blend into one. Dissapointingly there were no great standalone episodes as there was in other seasons.

For me the thing with S4 is this - when it was being televised, i thought it was absolutely amazing. Parallel with BS7, it just seemed way more exciting. For a first-time viewer I'd still say, 'wait for S4, it'll knock your socks off'.

But the arc is just too asphyxiating. When we get to Gwen and Gunn in 'Players', having a mere *moment* that's not arc is like having the sun come out. The arc is just too oppressive, and for that reason I don't think it stands up to repeated viewing like other seasons.

In answer to the question, I think S3 for me, but all of the seasons have great highs and significant faults too.

season five for me - I love it. Probably my favourite season of the Buffyverse overall.

I'll decide after i finish watching all of the seasons for the second time. On season 3 at the moment and i prefer that season to the two previous ones.

Had a very hard time choosing between S5 and S2. I love Darla's arc (her first one more than her pregnant one), and I really miss Cordy in S5. However, I find that I rewatch episodes from S5 more than any other season, and it has the fewest clunkers. The Girl In Question has me in stitches every time.
