SPIKE: Glad you asked. So far, I've established that she can hit like a Mack truck, selectively alter the flow of time, and, uh...possibly talk to plants.
ILLYRIA: I'd like to keep Spike as my pet.

ILLYRIA: This shell... you had affection for it, for Fred.
SPIKE: Tons. Loved the bird.
ILLYRIA: Yet you strike at her form without sentiment.
SPIKE: You ain't her. I can see it. Lord knows I can smell it. And I got no problem hitting it.
ILLYRIA: You're adapting.
SPIKE: We do that.
ILLYRIA: Adaptation is compromise.
SPIKE: It's called learning. But then I guess you know everything there is to know.

ILLYRIA: To never die... and to conquer all, that is winning.

SPIKE: Like you're not even there. World trembled before your feet once. Now... padding around a place you don't want to be in, and the rabble don't even give you so much as a polite yawn.
ILLYRIA: Do not presume I require any creature's attention.
SPIKE: Wouldn't dream of it, Blue. Still...you can't enjoy haunting this place. Less than what you were, not knowing what to do with yourself. Believe me, I've been there.
ILLYRIA: And what do you know of it?
SPIKE: Long and fascinating tale. Ghost story, in fact. Short of it is... take my advice. Get out once in a while. Before you go bats.

ILLYRIA: I've grown wary of this world since my powers were depleted. Strange... though I've been made more human, this place remains disconcerting.

ILLYRIA: He and I are no longer having intercourse.

ILLYRIA: He has ceased communication with me.

ILLYRIA: My recent reversion to the Burkle persona disturbed him. And he will not tell me why.

As devoted as I am to the Spuffy relationship, I have to admit that I really believe that a short term relationship with either Illyria or Faith (or both. We're talking about SPIKE here. You could even invite Buffy to the dance, but you would lose your PG-13 rating) would really be...interesting.

I really really loved Spike and Illyria's scenes together. I thought they had amazing chemistry and could have been hot together, if ever Illyria had humanized herself enough to have a relationship with anyone.

I think they're cute together. Such a shame I haven't read the comics, but I love them already. It would have been fun if Illyria kept him as her pet and one day Buffy and Dru ran into them(with Harmony walking backward away). 😀

- Both. Because they have good chemistry and Spike makes Illyria smile a lot.

I'm not sure just how "humanizing" would really be necessary. I don't see anything whatsoever out of character for Illyria to slam Spike up against a wall and say something like, "This body requires sexual release. You will provide it. NOW!"

Alas, as cute as these two are together, Buffy is Spike's girl. Always.

ANYHOW, *cough* I do love Spike and Illyria's scenes in Season 5, though. I'm not up-to-date with what's going on as of now with Spike and her though - someone should fill me in.

My heart will always belong to Buffy and Spike (or Angel and Spike) - but if Buffy *heaven forbid* chooses Angel in the end - then I'll jump on the Spike/Illyria bangwagen. Hell, why not.

I never really thought of the idea of Spike and Illyria have a relationship (Maybe that's 'cause I haven't read season six and Spike is meant to be with Dru, if you ask me 😀) but theie scenes together were always awesome.

Ahhh, I was always unsure as to whether to forfeit my heart to Wesley/Fred in order to have Spillyria or not. I thought it was incredibly sweet when Spike sacrificed himself for Fred in 'Hell Bound,' and after that I wanted the 'ship to happen rather badly. Yet when I read After The Fall, the protectiveness Illyria had for Spike was just too adorable to ignore. That is when I changed my mind, naturally.
