That's... actually not as bad as it could be. AWS now powers a rather large proportion of the internet.

I am sorry for all those folk who are affected although I would not be one of them, I refuse to use anything Amazon. I've even had publishers not allow my books to appear on Amazon, and I had that written into the contract with the publishers.

@ILLYRIAN AWS US-EAST-1 is the Amazon data centre that broke and led to the outage we saw. What is US-East-1? Why the AWS Northern Virginia server issues took down half the internet
