my best mate is a guy!, we went to school together and people teased us last year that we were going out, we wern't.... It wasnt till this that we got really close, now I realise but I really like this guy. when we wer ein 6th form together we had a convasation about it, and he said he wasn't ready for a girlfriend.... but he said he did like someone!!

At our 6th form ball in july, my friend was talking to him and I lef the table in order to go and talk to some other people. she spoke to him for a while and she asked him how he felt about me, and he said he liked me.... So when the convosation was finished, he asked her to go and get me, he wanted to chat to me. So I returned to my seat, and he carried out a normal convosation, nothing at all about what my friend had said to him.... She talked to him again, and told him to ask me for the last dance, that never happened... I got over this

but I have caught him looking at me,and I turn my head to look at him and he looks away.
I dont know if this is because he is nervous, or that he really doesnt care about me in that way

Sorry really long post I know
hope someone can help me here?!

do you like this guy? what am i saying, you already said that!!
if it was me, i'd talk to him about it...i've learned that life is too short NOT to say anything!! talk to him, and ask him how he feels. if he says he likes you, GREAT! go out for dinner or something. if he says he doesn't like you, then all you have to say is that you were obviously mistaken, you thought he was giving you mixed signals, but you were just makng sure as you didn't want to ruin the friendship.
you never know, it might all work out for the best!!
Good luck!!

Hey... it sounds like this guy likes you and is too nervous to say anything. Look... you've had a conversation with him about it before so you've got nothing to lose. I say you talk to him again and make it clear that you like him. Also... let him know that, if he doesn't want anything to happen, you want to stay friends with him. Listen, I've been through the same thing and I didn't say anything to the guy. We drifted apart because it was too painful for me to see what I was missing out on. I still regret that to this day. So I say go for it...

First of all... just some advice for you and your want-to-be-hunny..... a little phrase that I've been living by lately.

"Go for the gold!"

And that pretty much stands for all relationships in general.
