Okay, so guns work OCCASIONALLY!

Did anyone else think one of the funniest (I'm not sure if funniest is quite the word, but I am at a loss for how else to say it) things in Season 4 was Wes taking Skip out by shooting him through the hole in his exoskeleton/armor. I mean because of the long running joke on Buffy and Angel about how guns are useless. Skip even taunts him about it. I just felt a little... I don't know, some excitement I guess, at that moment.
 
I guess that was funny.

I think the greatest gun action though, in season four is Wes shooting up Angelus in (I think it's Salvage). All the slow mo action is great!
 
I thought that was poetic justice that Skip got killed by a gun when he was saying that he couldn't be killed by one LOL!
OOOh Wes and guns.....*sigh*
 
Wesley and guns go together perfectly. That's a great moment.

I often wonder why Wesley didn't take guns along to Vale's. Sure the guy was powerful and probably had magical protection, but a quick shot through one of those tubes and he'd be down.

It really is a big contrast if u watch wesleys appearence in graduation day to season 4 of Angel!
 
I laugh every time he uses a gun. I don't know, I just find it kind of ridiculous. Especially when he does the dramatic two-gun slow motion dive.
 
Guns would most certainly work on any demon in the 'verse, including vampires (tracer ammunition, with white phosphorus/thermite bullets burn hot enough to melt soft metal, certainly hot enough to ignite your average vamp). The problem is, Buffy or Angel could stand back twenty yards or so with a flame thrower or an assault rifle and clear out a whole nest of vampires without even scuffing a shoe. Can you say, "Boring,"? The hand to hand stuff is what makes the action. (That said, I think it's time for the Slayers to move into the twentieth century.)
