It's light day and night, the old Cordelia and the new Cordelia. The old Cordelia was bitchy, popular, shallow most of the time and rich. The new Cordelia (before she died of course) was very human and caring, a good friend, hero, and obviously a higher being.

Now, I like the old Cordelia we knew in high school because the character itself was very funny and fun, the character itself was a very good character IMO, she had such good lines and she reacted to things in a great kind of way.

But I like the new Cordelia as a person. For her new self I came to really love Cordelia. And while I liked her character best when she was a bitch, the new Cordelia is more lovable, in my opinioin. I've also noticed that it's not just me. Cordelia has become more popular by fans after the big change in her character, when she moved to Ats.

Which Cordelia do you like more if at all?

I love the new Cordelia because, even if she was funny in Btvs, she was also too mean sometimes. And I really enjoyed her "story" with Angel...

I like her in the first season of Ats because she is still a little superficial and "stupid" (in a sweet way^^) so it's funny but we can see her becoming a new person, more mature.

So I prefer her when she was between the old and the new cordelia. 😛

I love both because you can see such a big development! The old one was amusing sometimes annoying and the new one pretty cool but sometimes I missed the old Cordy!

Both.

I don't like choosing because both were so awesome in different ways. People say old Cordelia was a "bitch", but she just spoke her mind, and I respected her honesty. Of course, sometimes she needed to filter what she said, but she brought a lot of humor to the show and prevented things from getting too cheesy lol. New Cordelia was awesome because she developed into one of the most interesting and strong characters in the entire Buffyverse. So i'm not going to choose.

Love this too!
Like you said, it's night and day. I love daytime because I can go out and do things (run, take a walk by the river, etc.). At the same time, at night, I can go downtown, have some fun, etc. I love both equally.

I think everyone hit great points here on Cordy. In HS, she was Queen C, the lovable bitch. Everyone hated her, but everyone wanted to be her friend. She was witty, and not so big into tact. But as she grew up, and her character developed on Angel (being the leading lady), she never lost the tongue (up until the Jasmine takeover), but she lost the shallowness. She was a strong character. But I like both versions equally because they offer different things. Different times.

Oh, this is just so on mark.

I would choose the new Cordy anyday....old Cordy could be fun but there's no way I could have kept watching her like that. For me, the character's I tend to love the most are the one's who grow and develope. You can only watch a bitchy, mean character for so long until it just gets old. Plus, I love heroin's....and Cordelia is just that. 🙂

I like that there are glimpses of the new cordy in the old.... you can see the strength and compassion and selflessness come to the surface now and then. I really like that. I think, for her, it's really about a journey of discovering who she really is.

I hated Cordy in BTVS when it first aired...because she was too mean sometimes. And I never forgave her for that remark about Buffy having only one parent.

But when she started working with Angel, she changed. A lot. And I grew to love her. Until she turned bad in season 4.

Yeah, well, Buffy almost killed her with a stick in the first episode. I'd say they're even.

That wasn't Cordelia. She was posessed.

I love season 2/3 of Angel Cordy best, where she's really finding her purpose in life and accepting that

I have always enjoyed Cordelia's character, though I wouldn't count her among my favorites. I have been liking her more on AtS, simply because her character developed into something much more than just the snobby, entitled princess.

I preferred her older character as I liked her being the token comedy character. She bored me when she became all mature and 'good.'
