I played FFVII till it broke. That was the first game I ever bought, and I still have the original disks, even though I've subsequently got a new copy.

Hmm...I'm beginning to see a patern emerge. To be honest, I wasn't all that careful with my PS games when I was young, which is weird because I'm a freak about it now.
Other games that I loved but didn't destroy:
Crash and Spyro on the PS. I just recently (as in, days) got them to work on my PSP, so I'm in nostalgia land. Seriously though - Crash 3 is better on the PSP than pretty much all of my PSP games. As is FFVII.
Grim Fandango. My joint favourite game of ALL TIME. It's a game set in the Land of the Dead à¡ la Mexican culture, with a heavy Aztec/Art Deco art style. Oh, and it plays out like a film noir detective story. Eclectic, but brilliant. You play as a grim reaper - that is, a travel agent for recently departed souls, who has to make the four year journey across the Land of the Dead to the Ninth Underworld. I can't stress enough how wonderful and funny this game is. If ANYONE has played it, VM me and I'll love you for ever.
