Old shows you miss

Of course we miss Buffy, Angel, maybe Firefly and Dollhouse. But what other shows, non Jossverse shows, that ended a long time ago you miss?

Well, my main one would be Legend of the Seeker. It wasn't anywhere near Joss quality but I was really attached to the main characters and really miss it.

Even though it's Tim Minear (which is kind of like Joss) I got into the Inside before it was canceled. I always meant to check out Birds of Prey (but never did so I don't know if it was any good).

I'm not sure if this qualifies as having ended a long time ago...but definitely miss Arrested Development... I keep getting teased about a movie but it's been like 7 years now...still got my fingers crossed though.

I could make a very long list but I've realised that even though you go through shows, loving them most of the time you get over them and starts appriciating what you got. No show stays as good and as interesting for too long. That's why spin offs were invented. 😉 But maybe I can say that about me since I watch too many shows. If I'd follow 2-5 shows a year maybe I'd feel differently.

Here's some that comes to mind though.

Freaks and Geeks
Veronica Mars. I know that people aren't that fond of season 3 but I wanted more.
Tru Calling
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

Shows that deserved more seasons even if I can't say I missed them as such. But if they had more episodes I definitely had watched.
My so-called life
Stargate Universe. Got good too late.
Sports Night
Joan of Arcadia
Dark Angel
Undeclared


Shows that was canceled too early, came back and now has been airing for too long.

I'm 100% sure I've forgotten some shows, probably at least one that I'll be very ashamed to have forgot.

I really used to love the early stargate shows, sliders, quantum leap. As well as Sister Sister, Sabrina the Teenage With and Clarissa Explains it all (as already mentioned).

I'm not a big TV watcher, but I REALLY miss Gilmore Girls. The writing was superb. It really played to my sense of humor and the way I talk, and Stars Hallow is very similar to my home town and town I live now.

I never got into Arrested Development enough. I enjoyed some parts a lot but as a whole I can't say I miss it. Maybe I need to watch it again.

Haha, good point. Time is weird anyway 7 years ago can feel like just yesterday sometimes. 🙂

I really miss Charmed. I used to watch it when I was a kid most of the time, it always reminded me of a lighter version of Buffy. Then there is Sabrina the teenage Witch. The humor and magic is another thing that I will always envy from my childhood. Though not technically over I would say Pokemon and Digimon. There are many many more shows but I can't remember much right now.

I really miss X Files and Red Dwarf. They were my favourite shows when I was younger, along with Buffy. But at least Red Dwarf is making a comeback 😀

Queer as folk UK. Even though the ending was amazing, I don't think I'll ever get over not seeing Nathan, Vince and Stuart again. Also, fresh prince in bel air. How good was that show? Prett-y good. 😀
