Tonight I went out with my friends Ashley & Stephanie B. We were going to a store a few towns over to buy a horror movie that I wanted. I missed the street because it was night and we had to turn around. As we were turning around we noticed something strange. There was a car parked half way in a drive way, the low beams were on, there was a walker next to the car, and there was an old woman slumped up against the back seat. We thought the lady was in trouble, but we knew there was someone there to help her because some had to have driven the car there.

We played around in the store, like we often do, and I bought my movie. It was two hours later when we entered town and happened to pass the same street with the woman before. As we passed, we noticed the woman was still in the car, but this time the lights were off. I decided I should go check on her because she looked like she was in trouble. Before I approached her car, I called my Uncle Frank and asked him what to do. He told me that I was doing the right thing. I was asking him what to do exactly when my friend Ashley ran over to me and told me to come to the car.

When I got close enough to the car the three of us could hear the woman crying for help from inside the car. Stephanie B & Ashley stayed next to the car while I ran to the beginning of the street to see what street we were on. I called 911 because the woman told us too. I was confused talking to the person there because I really didn't know what to ask for. They connected me to my town's emergency line and the woman on the line told me she was sending a patrol car over. About two minutes later two cop cars pulled up next to my car, which had its hazard lights on so they'd see us.

They had to break the car door open to get to the woman and she was really not cohert. We figured she had been left alone in the cold car for at least 3 hours. The cops tried to get her to use her walker and get out of the car, but she was to weak to get up. I also think she was embarassed. She was really elderly, I'd have to say over 85, and being unable to get up when she needed too she had gone to the bathroom in her pants. My friends and I were just standing there because we didn't know if the cops would need us or if they had any questions for us. Then a light came on and someone walked out of the house.

It was the woman's daughter! This lady knew her mother was trapped in the car and just left her there! I could hear her talking to the two cops and she said that her mother's one leg was broken and she was just released from Somerset Medical Center (my mommy is an ER nurse there 🙂) and she was extremely sick. My friends and I were floored that this woman knew her mother was that sick and just left her in the car like that. The woman was unable to walk because one leg was broken and the other was completely numb from being in the car for so long. So, we got a lawn chair to put her in. Then me and the other two cops picked her up on the chair and carried her inside.

I left the house because it wasn't my business and stood outside with my friends. A few minutes later the two cops came out. They were really angry. I would be too. I said, "I can't believe she left her in the car like that." and the cops said very openly, "Yeah, she's a je** off. We've had run ins with her before and she's a b****." They asked me for my story again and then I went on my way. I was backing up so I could drive past the cop when he stopped me and asked for my information. He needed my name and license plate number for the police report. Then we did the whole "have a good night" "thanks" thing and went on our way.

But can you believe that? The lady knew that her mother had a broken leg and was extremely sick, just out of the hospital, and left her in the car for at least 3 hours? How sick is that? Some people are just so self centered and uncaring. It took three teenagers that didn't even know her to help her, but her own daughter wouldn't even pick up the phone and dial 3 numbers. Oh well. I did a good thing. I'm happy.

You did do a good thing.I can't believe the daughter just left her mom in the car like that for 3 hours. That just shows that some people can be very evil sometimes.Wow Hero you have the tendency to save or help people a lot.I remember you helped your neighbor once and now this lady. You really live up to your name 🙂

I know. I was just thinking that before. First I helped my neighbor when her house was broken into and she was robbed. Now I saved the woman trapped in the car. lol

Wow Look at you your name definatly fits your a little hero and that was sweet of you guys to help her... I dunno i dont think i'd have the strength not to go off on her daughter for that my dad treats my grandmother badly all the time and i snap alot about it so i mean i doubt i wouldn't have been able to keep my mouth shut to the daughter... isn't that illegal thats like you know abuse she should at least have a ticket or something for reckless abandon or something! when will people learn to take care of Family expecially cause its the only family you got..... but yay you agian hero 🙂 you did great

lol. thanks. we checked the paper on Sunday, but we weren't in there. i guess they didn't put us in after all.

OMG, that's just awful! Thank goodness you were there to save her, or else the lady may have died out there! Kudos to you!
