OMG! I just finished watching "I will remember you"..WHY DID NO-ONE TELL ME IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAD!! I WAS LITERALLY BAWLING, I WAS IN A FLOOD OF TEARS! I mean, I've sean the season 3 episodes, and yea, cried, but not as much as that episode! I am 110% Spuffy.....starting in season 5, but I would not have Bangel, cuz that was great! I love Bangel, and I love SPuffy...Oh god I can't decide!!
 
It's horrible isn't it? I've always been a total B/A 'shipper, so no one understands why I'm in love with Spuffy. Wasn't IWRY so sad though? I'm such a softie, I cry EVERY time I watch it. In fact, even if I just saw the 15 second clip of Buffy being like...it's not enough time! I'd probably bawl.

Yeah that's one of the saddest episodes from Buffyverse.

OMG! i still cry like a baby everytime i watch it 🙁

And i've always been a Bangel fan, I know Spuffy is really great, specially the last Buffy eppy, but IWRY was sooooooooooo much.!!!
 
omg, i just saw this episode(i watching angel on TNT) it was sooo sad!! i cried so much when buffy was like "i minute! thats not enough time!" 🙁 that was soooooo sad!!!

Very emotionally moving epp. I cried just like everybody else..you don't have to decide anyway. You can like both.....
 
Go wi B/A there so right for each other!!in a ways i luv B/S but then i dont...IWRY is soo sad yet soooooooooo gud!

Why isn't anyone angry at what Angel had done? I am! He made the choice to have Buffy's memories of that one day erased without even telling her before he made the choice, or after her memory was erased. He had treated her as if he knew best and she didn't. I hope that his action will catch up to him, one day.

Well, didn't he do the right thing? (That's more or less a rhetorical question - he did). I mean it was painful and awful and gut-wrenchingly bummer-tudinous, sure, but it was also the right thing to do. And as for his action caching up with him.....he's living with it every day. He's the one who remembers, remember?

I respect your point of view. I do, however, very much disagree with you. Angel is the one who is going to feel the pain the rest of of his immortal life. He has to live with the fact that he could of had her, but then see her with another man in another world far away from his own. He luv's Buffy with every part of his living-dead self. He gave the most important gift ever, self sacrafice to help her. She was free to go and save the world and fall for another guy and all the other crazy Buffy-things she needs to do. She does not remember anything from that glorious night. I am Buffy/Angel all the way, but their time wasn't meant to be yet. Angel did know best; that was what was so powerful and heart wrenching at the same time.
 
As Seth Green once said, no major character in 'Buffy' and 'Angel' is completely evil in their actions. Angel took away Buffy's happiness and his own and made a huge decision without consulting her first, but he did what he thought was right and just did not want to cause Buffy anymore pain.

I felt sad that Buffy never ever found out about "the Forgotten Day (as some B/A shippers callit)." Angel had to go back and see her again many times. It's ironic that in AtS S2, Angel was just going for sex with Darla and when he was around Buffy, he was afraid to kiss her in "Forever." Bittersweet.
 
He felt that he couldn't save her soul and that he was completely bad, so he gave up and had sex with her. He never loved her, of course and when he realized that he didn't lose his soul, he was saved. Weird epiphany.

Isn't it weird how it's so easy to forget that Angel's lived for 200+ years when he's around Buffy? The guy has done much worse things, and when he's around Buffy, he's like a teen who gets jealous, yet when he's not around her, he's more brutal... wow, he really loves Buffy...
