Ok, besides the obvious, (eg., Giles leaving, Tara leaving) did anyone catch that Tara could have also been hinting at her death? ("I just wish I could stay...")

Or "Willow don't you see, there is nothing left of me..."

Just something I was thinking about the other day.

OH!

And "Spread beneath my willow tree," could be meaning she's underground.

wow, TC. never thought of the lyrics that way. good interpretation! well, i think that alot of lines in many episodes of the show carry multiple meanings, and lyrics doubly so. so i wouldn't put it past joss to hint at tara's death with those lyrics. however, sometimes he nor the other writers think that much into the words. sometimes us viewers can make more out of those things in the show than they could ever come up with. but i like it. could tara have been inferring her own death there? something to think about...

That could also be the reason she came back to Willow. Maybe she knew and she didn't want Will to hurt so much after, thinking she hurt her and couldn't really make it up to her before she died.

How many people in life regret not doing things one way or another after someone close to them dies?!!

Don't get me wrong, I think Tara wanted to go back to Willow, and maybe that's why she wanted to skip all the tough stuff, cause she knew it all wouldn't last too much longer.

I just wanted to add it is unlikely only because I don't think Tara could have know, or felt it. I think it is truly just about their relationship. But with Joss and crew, you never know. 🙂

Tara couldn't have been foreshadowing her own death, because it she was killed by a bullet by Warren. It's not like she had some sort of Family history with say a heart problem [ie Cassie]. It was by chance that she was killed. If she was standing even half a foot to the left or right of where she stood when she was shot, she may not even have died. It would actually be interesting to see what would have happened with the stray bullet had Tara not gone back to Willow by "Seeing Red". Would Willow have been looking down at her two best friends making up, and suddenly have been shot? Or without Tara dieing and Willow going all vengeance on Warren, how would Buffy have survived the bullet? [because let's face it, she wouldn't have died in episode 20 of the sixth season]
