OMWF named #1 BtVS Episode on SYFY

So my weekend has been so much fun, I have been sitting watching the Top 20 episodes as voted by Syfy viewers. Some incredible moments and episodes appearing in this list. Once More With Feeling took the #1 spot with 20% of the vote apparently.

Heres the full Top 20:

What do you guys think of the results? I think viewers were only given 20 to choose from so its not a definitive guide of the series as a whole. How would you have ranked these episodes? How do they compare to your Top 20?

Would be great to read your thoughts 🙂
 
I love that Doppelgangland was in the top 10. 🙂 I'm surprised that Bargaining isn't on there. I really enjoyed those. (pts. 1 & 2)
 
Well, honestly, these 20 episodes above do seem to be (more or less) the episodes that most people place in their top 10.

Of course, you can quibble about the ranking of particular episodes. Personally, there is no way I would put "Once More With Feeling" above "Conversations with Dead People." And that is just for starters.
 
Normal again wouldn't have been in my top twenty. That's one episode I skip when I re-watch the series 😛
 
Glad to see that Grave and Normal Again are there, although I'd kick 'em both up, as I would Graduation Day. Sad to see Restless out of the top ten and The Gift within the top ten (I'd place it somewhere around 15-17). Maybe would swap Halloween for Lie To Me, but those two are pretty close in my book. Confused at the absence of The Prom, Who Are You and Selfless, to name a few. No clue why Fool For Love is so high, either (it's good, but not top ten good in my book). Wouldn't put OMWF or Hush at No. 1 and 2 simply because they're high concept episodes and don't necessary speak for the whole show (although I love both of them). Pleased nonetheless that Becoming still snatches up third.

There's a lot of other things I could comment on, but going any deeper would necessitate actually making a top twenty episode list, and that would kill me inside.
 
Any idea if the sections of this top 20 with Anthony Head, are going to be released online?

So Fans across the pond can see him talking about the show?

Those are my thoughts too. I could watch Doppelgangland 24/7. lol

Bargaining is amazing. It's from the season when BtVS hit great. I love her swordsmanship, too.
 
I'm surprised that The Wish and Doppelgangland were included, I suppose that's mainly for the vampire Willowness 😛

All in all though most of my favourites are in there.
 
Overall decent list, but OMWF top? No, No, No, just No. Its not even worthy of a top 20 spot. Neither is The Body, Grave, Graduation day or Normal again. But what really takes the biscuit is Amends and CWDP being in there. Amends and CWDP!!!!!!! smh. Soooo many better episodes than all these.
 
Personally I miss Earshot on the list... but I'm not really surprised by that list.

If I would remove one to make room for Earshot I would pick Fool for Love.

Have to say I'd agree with this one. Earshot is one of my favorites.

Grave is my all-time favorite episode, and OMWF my second favorite. So it's all just a matter of taste.

Earshot is also a favorite of mine too. Especially since I only discovered it existed when I bought the DVD set, it was like the best Easter Egg ever. As they didn't air the episode on this side of the pond for quite a long while either.

To me the episode is also rich with allusions to the Midas touch, I thought it was very creative to analyse what would truly happen if you could really hear thoughts and you couldn't control it, forcing yourself into exile. Much like Midas who couldn't touch anything without turning it into Gold.
 
I enjoyed the results. Wish I had seen the voting on SyFy. Was it on television or online? Either way, the results were pretty good. If there was a vote on here, I bet it would look about the same. I love how there was some old ones and new ones, both not forgotten. I was kind of suprised 'Lover's Walk' was on there.. I just figured many people overlooked that episode.. I think its one of the better, older episodes.
